As SENATOR SHELBY (R-ALABAMA) is being asked about "The Phoenix Memo" and "Zacarious
Moussauoi", he is abruptly cut off. Now, go Google those two things and I
think you'll understand why he was cut off with no explanation.
The Phoenix memo is a letter sent to FBI
headquarters on July 10, 2001 by FBI special agent Kenneth Williams
recommending the assembling of a worldwide listing of civil aviation
schools.
Williams, then stationed in Phoenix, Arizona, was at the time
investigating students at some of these schools for possible terrorist
links. According to Williams, the purpose of the memo was to
advise the Bureau and New York of the possibility of a coordinated
effort by Osama Bin Laden to send students to the United States to
attend civil aviation universities and colleges. Phoenix has observed an
inordinate number of individuals of investigative interest who are
attending or who have attended civil aviation universities and colleges
in the State of Arizona.
HIS LETTER WAS IGNORED. AS TO ZACARIAS MOUSSAOUI... The case of Zacarias Moussaoui raises many questions about the
conduct of the FBI and other US intelligence agencies in the period
leading up the September 11. It is the clearest example of the almost
inexplicable refusal on the part of these agencies to take any action
that could have prevented the bloodiest terrorist attack in American
history. Moussaoui was arraigned January 3 on six counts of
conspiracy to commit murder and terrorism in the September 11 attacks. A
French-born man of Moroccan Arab descent, Moussaoui refused “in the
name of Allah” to make a plea, and a plea of not guilty was entered for
him at the request of his public defender. Moussaoui was arrested in Minnesota August 16 after officials of a
flight school, the Pan Am International Flight Academy in Eagan, a
suburb of Minneapolis, tipped off the FBI that he was seeking flight
training on a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. The instructor and a vice president of the flight school briefed two
Democratic congressmen from the Minneapolis area in November about their
repeated efforts to get the FBI to take an interest in Moussaoui’s
conduct. Their accounts were first reported in the MinneapolisStar-Tribune, then in the New York Times December 22. The vice president of the flight school, who briefed Minnesota
Congressmen James Oberstar and Martin Sabo, said it took four to six
phone calls to the FBI to find an agent who would help. The instructor
became so frustrated by the lack of response that he gave a prescient
warning to the FBI that “a 747 loaded with fuel can be used as a bomb.”
Investigation blocked in Washington!!! Moussaoui was detained by the Immigration and Naturalization Service
on charges of violating the terms of his visa. Local FBI investigators
in Minneapolis immediately viewed Moussaoui as a terrorist suspect and
sought authorization for a special counterintelligence surveillance
warrant to search the hard drive of his home computer. This was rejected
by higher-level officials in Washington, who claimed there was
insufficient evidence to meet the legal requirements for the warrant. FBI
agents tracked Moussaoui’s movements to the Airman Flight School in
Norman, Oklahoma, where he logged 57 hours of flight time earlier in
2001 but was never allowed to fly on his own because of his poor skills.
This alone should have set off alarm bells, since a confessed Al Qaeda
operative, Abdul Hakim Murad, had trained at the same school, as part of
preparations for a suicide hijack attack on CIA headquarters. Murad
testified about these plans in the 1996 trial of Ramzi Ahmed Yusef, the
principal organizer of the 1993 World Trade Center car-bombing. Several
of the September 11 hijackers had either enrolled in or visited the
Oklahoma flight school, as a more thorough investigation determined in
the aftermath of the suicide hijackings. On August 26, FBI headquarters was notified by French intelligence that
Moussaoui had ties to the Al Qaeda organization and Osama bin Laden.
Even this report did not spur the agency to action. A special
counterterrorism panel of the FBI and CIA reviewed the information
against him, but concluded there was insufficient evidence that he
represented any threat, despite his refusal to answer questions and the
French allegations. Moussaoui was not even transferred from INS
detention to FBI custody until after September 11. The New York Times commented December 22 that the Moussaoui
case “raised new questions about why the Federal Bureau of Investigation
and other agencies did not prevent the hijackings.”
WHY? MAYBE FOR THE SAME REASONS THEY AIDED AND EVEN DROVE SEVERAL "WOULD-BE TERRORISTS" TO DO THEIR DEED? MAYBE BECAUSE THEY NEEDED SOMEONE TO PULL THE WHOLE THING OFF?

and Egypt—gave Washington specific warnings of terrorist attacks in the
United States involving the use of hijacked airplanes as weapons, in the

had multiple indications of the danger of suicide hijackings, based on
its own investigations into other terrorist attacks attributed to Osama
bin Laden and his Al Qaeda network. * Several of the September 11 hijackers, including Mohammed Atta, the
alleged ringleader, were under direct surveillance by US agencies as
suspected terrorists during 2000 and 2001.Yet they were allowed to
travel freely into and out of the US and eventually carry out their
plans. September 11 took place amid a virtual stand-down of
the security forces which permits no innocent explanation. The
circumstances of the terrorist attacks deserve the most serious and
conscientious investigation. Both the Bush administration and the
Democrats and Republicans in Congress have rejected any such probe,
suggesting that to question the role of the FBI, CIA and other
intelligence agencies is unpatriotic. But the facts which are
known so far point to the conclusion that officials at the highest
levels of the US government knew that a major terrorist attack was under
way and made no serious effort to prevent it. The political motive can
be inferred: they permitted an attack to go forward—whether they knew
its full dimensions or not—in order to provide the necessary pretext for
carrying out a right-wing agenda of military intervention abroad and

Prosecutor David Novak said the FAA lawyer "should have known it was wrong".
The defence immediately filed a motion for the death penalty to be

I am an ex Naval line officer and a psychiatrist in private practice in New Orleans. A list of names on a piece of paper is not evidence, but an
autopsy by a pathologist is. I undertook, by FOIA request, to obtain
that autopsy list and you are invited to view it below. Guess what?
Still no Arabs on the list. The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), does a miraculous job and identifies nearly all the bodies on November 16th 2001. The AFIP suggest these numbers; 189 killed, 125 worked at the Pentagon and 64 were “passengers” on the plane. The AA list only had 56 and the list just obtained has 58. They did not explain how they were able to tell “victims” bodies from “hijacker” bodies. In fact, from the beginning NO explanation has been given for the extra five suggested in news reports except that the FBI showed us the pictures to make up the difference, and that makes it so. No Arabs wound up on the morgue slab; however, three ADDITIONAL people not listed by American Airlines sneaked in. I have seen no explanation for these extras. I did give American Airlines the opportunity to “revise” their original list, but they have not responded. The new names are: Robert Ploger, Zandra Ploger, and Sandra Teague. The AFIP claims that the only “passenger” body that they were not able to identify is the toddler, Dana Falkenberg, whose parents and young sister are on the list of those identified. By now you have probably heard that many of the “hijackers” named by the FBI are alive and well. The Information Times, an on-line publication, reported that Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal told the Arabic Press after meeting with President George W. Bush on Sept. 20: “It was proved that five of the names included in the FBI list had nothing to do with what happened.”
According to The Orlando Sentinel, the Saudi Arabian embassy confirmed that four of the five mentioned by Al-Faisal – Saeed Alghamdi, Mohand Alshehri, Abdulaziz Alomari and Salem Alhazmi- are not dead and had nothing to do with the heinous terror attacks in New York and Washington. From published photos of all of those that perished on that flight, it is clear that none are even “Arab looking.” This seems to rule out Arabs sneaking aboard under assumed names.
The following list of Flight 77 passengers was gathered from many sources posted on the Internet: Dong Lee, Ruben Ornedo, and Chad Keller all worked for Boeing. Lee also worked for the NSA. Stanley Hall, “the dean of electronic warfare,” (along with Peter Gay, David Kolvacin, and Kenneth Waldie on other flights), worked for Raytheon.
William Caswell was a particle physicist who worked for the Navy. His job was so classified that his family had no clue as to what he did and did not know why he was flying to California.
Charles Droz, LCDR USN Ret, was a software developer for EM solutions (manufacturer of Wide Area Networks).
Robert Penniger worked for BAE Systems, (“an industry leader in flight control systems”), whose Board is comprised of many from the intelligence community. BAE has apparently removed their Board of Directors page, but it list a “who’s who” of high level connections to the CIA, DARPA, and NSA. (See the appendix for a list of outside directors of BAE Systems that were not on Flight 77.)
Robert Ploger and his wife were added “late” to the original CNN passenger list. He is the son of Major General Robert R Ploger USA, Ret, another “flag” link. The other “late” addition was Sandra Teague, a physical therapist at Georgetown University Hospital.
John Sammartino and Leonard Taylor worked at Xontech (missile defense), another company connected to the intelligence community, also with ties to Boeing.
Vicki Yancey worked for Vreedenberg Corp, yet another company connected to the intelligence community. Her father describes her death as a “planned murder.” Her widower works for Northrup-Grumman.
Mary Jane Booth was in a position to know what was going on at Dulles Airport as secretary for American Airlines general manager.
John Yamnicky, 71, Capt USN Ret, was a defense contractor for Veridian who had done a number of “black ops,” according to his son.
It has been reported that some people were warned not to fly that day. One was reported to be Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco. Another was author Salman Rushdie. The person on that flight MOST likely to be warned was Robert Speisman. He was an executive at Lazare Kaplan, a diamond merchant, and son in law of Maurice Templesman. Templesman was Jackie Kennedy’s long time lover and is highly connected according to Time Magazine. Time also reported about about his “special access” to the National Security Council. Obama DOJ Asks Court to Grant Immunity to George W. Plaintiff Sundus Shaker Saleh, an Iraqi single mother and refugee now living in Jordan, filed a complaint in March 2013 in San Francisco federal court alleging that the planning and waging of the war constituted a “crime of aggression” against Iraq, a legal theory that was used by the Nuremberg Tribunal to convict Nazi war criminals after World War II.
In her lawsuit, Saleh alleges that:
– Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz began planning the Iraq War in 1998 through their involvement with the “Project for the New American Century,” a Washington DC non-profit that advocated for the military overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
– Once they came to power, Saleh alleges that Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz convinced other Bush officials to invade Iraq by using 9/11 as an excuse to mislead and scare the American public into supporting a war.
– Finally, she claims that the United States failed to obtain United Nations approval prior to the invasion, rendering the invasion illegal and an act of impermissible aggression.

Bush was to be the keynote speaker at Keren Hayesod's annual dinner on Feb. 12 in Geneva. But pressure has been building on the Swiss government to arrest him and open a criminal investigation if he enters the Alpine country.
Criminal complaints against Bush alleging torture have been lodged in Geneva, court officials say.
Human rights groups said they had intended to submit a 2,500-page case against Bush in the Swiss city on Monday for alleged mistreatment of suspected militants at Guantanamo Bay, the U.S. naval base in Cuba where captives from Afghanistan, Iraq and other fronts in the so-called War on Terror were interned.
"He's avoiding the handcuffs," Reed Brody, counsel for Human Rights Watch, told Reuters.
The action in Switzerland showed Bush had reason to fear legal complaints against him if he traveled to countries that have ratified an international treaty banning torture, he said.
Dominique Baettig, a member of the Swiss parliament from the right-wing People's Party, wrote to the Swiss federal government last week calling for the arrest of Bush for alleged war crimes if he came to the neutral country.
Bush, in his "Decision Points" memoirs on his 2001-2009 presidency, strongly defends the use of waterboarding as key to preventing a repeat of the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.
Most human rights experts consider the practice a form of torture, banned by the Convention on Torture, an international pact prohibiting torture and other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment or punishment. Switzerland and the United States are among 147 countries to have ratified the 1987 treaty.
"Whatever Bush or his hosts say, we have no doubt he cancelled his trip to avoid our case. The message from civil society is clear - If you're a torturer, be careful in your travel plans. It's a slow process for accountability, but we keep going," the Paris-based FIDH and New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights said in a joint statement on Saturday.
Sami El Hadjj, a former Al Jazeera journalist and former detainee at Guantanamo, had been due to speak at their news conference in Geneva on Monday, where they will release the 2,500-page complaint.
"I'm surprised he (Bush) would even consider visiting a country that has ratified the torture convention and which takes its responsibilities seriously," said Brody.
"I think George Bush's world is a very small place at the moment," he said. "He may enjoy some kind of impunity in the United States, but other countries will not treat him so indulgently."

The allegations were made by retired US army colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, once chief of staff to Powell, Bush's first secretary of state, in a lawsuit filed by a former Guantanamo inmate.
The allegations were first published by The Times in London.
In a statement dated March 24, Wilkerson alleged that Bush's vice president, Dick Cheney, and secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld knew that most detainees held at the US detention camp in 2002 were innocent but believed it was "politically impossible to release them."
Wilkerson said he discussed the issue with Powell, who left his job in 2005.
"I learnt that it was his view that it was not just vice president Cheney and secretary Rumsfeld, but also president Bush who was involved in all of the Guantanamo decision-making," Wilkerson wrote.
"Many of the prisoners detained at Guantanamo had been taken into custody without regard to whether they were truly enemy combatants, or in fact whether many of them were enemies at all," Wilkerson wrote.
By late August 2002 "I found that of the initial 742 detainees that had arrived at Guantanamo, the majority of them had never seen a US soldier in the process of their initial detention and their captivity had not been subjected to any meaningful review."
Children "as young as 12 and 13 and elderly as old as 92 or 93 had been shipped to Guantanamo," Wilkerson said, sold to US forces for 5,000 dollars a head.
Often there was "absolutely no evidence relating to the detainee that was turned over, so there was no real method of knowing why the prisoner had been detained in the first place."
Cheney and Rumsfeld did not want to release innocents because they feared it would reveal the "incredibly confused" detention operation, Wilkerson said.
Wilkerson also alleged that Cheney "had absolutely no concern that the vast majority of Guantanamo detainees were innocent... If hundreds of innocent individuals had to suffer in order to detain a handful of hardcore terrorists, so be it."
Wilkerson's statement was filed in support of Adel Hassan Hamad, a Sudanese man held at Guantanamo Bay from March 2003 until December 2007. He claims he was tortured by US agents and filed a damages action Thursday.
Some 183 detainees remain at the US military prison at Guantanamo Bay on Cuba, including dozens already cleared for release. Most have been held without charge or trial.

BRUSSELS (AFP) - US President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair have been accused of war crimes in Iraq under a fiercely contested Belgian law, the government here said.
But the justice ministry said the Belgian cabinet had referred the cases against Bush, Blair and six other high-ranking officials to the US and British governments, making any trials highly unlikely.
Nevertheless the lawsuits, brought under Belgium's "universal competence law", could well deepen tensions between Washington and Brussels, which bitterly opposed the war in Iraq.
The 10-year-old law gives Belgium's courts the right to judge anyone accused of war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide, regardless of where the crime took place.
Apart from Bush and Blair, the officials named in the suits were US Secretary of State Colin Powell, Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Rumsfeld's deputy Paul Wolfowitz, Attorney General John Ashcroft, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice and General Tommy Franks, who led US forces in Iraq. Bush, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Rice and Wolfowitz were additionally accused over the US-led campaign in Afghanistan that toppled the Taliban regime.
The ministry said it received the suits from Belgium's federal prosecution service on Wednesday.
But the Belgian cabinet quickly passed them on to US and British authorities, in line with a precedent set last month when US military officials including General Franks were accused under the law of war crimes in Iraq.

1. The Use of Napalm
A hill outside Basra was napalmed during the initial invasion of Iraq. So were two bridges south of Baghdad.
Reports are based on an article by Andrew Boncombe (“U.S. Admits It Used Napalm Bombs in Iraq”) in The Independent on August 10, 2003, and a second source, Martin Savidge (“Protecting Iraq’s Oil Supply) broadcast on CNN on March 22, 2003.
The use of napalm is banned by Article 55(1) of Protocol 1 to the Geneva Conventions. Adopted in 1977, the provision reads “Care shall be taken in warfare to protect the natural environment against widespread, long-term and severe damage. This protection includes a prohibition of the use of methods or means of warfare which are intended or may be expected to cause such damage to the natural environment and thereby to prejudice the health or survival of the population.”
2. Use of White Phosphorous
During November 2004, white phosphorous, a chemical that can cause serious burns, was used as an anti-personnel airborne weapon in Fallujah, according to several American military officers. On the last day of the month, General Peter Pace, who headed the Joint Chiefs of Staff, defended the use of white phosphorous to illuminate targets at night.
Evidence was first reported by Peter Popham (“US Forces Used Chemical Weapons During Assault on City of Fallujah”) in The Independent on November 8, 2005, and affirmed as well by Ali A. Allawi in The Occupation of Iraq (Yale University Press, 2007, p. 339).
According to the Article 2 of the Protocol on Prohibition or Restrictions on the Use of Incendiary Weapons of 1980: “(1) It is prohibited in all circumstances to make the civilian population as such, individual civilians or civilian objects the object of attack by incendiary weapons. (2) It is prohibited in all circumstances to make any military objective located within a concentration of civilians the object of attack by air-delivered incendiary weapons.”
3. Use of Depleted Uranium Weapons
Some 2,000 tons of depleted uranium bullets, which can combust into a ball of fire measuring 10,000 Centigrade degrees, were utilized in the invasion of Iraq. At least 200 tons were used after the invasion. Children exposed to the munitions have come down with leukemia.

When Faisal Shahzad plotted to put a car bomb in Times Square on May 1, 2010, he was doing so in retaliation for deaths of innocent civilians, including his friends in Pakistan, due to attacks from American unmanned aerial “drones.” He said so during his allocution in court, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
While George W Bush was president, American drone strikes were taking place in the tribal zones of Pakistan . Some Al-Qaeda residences were targeted, but many civilians died in the raids. As reported by a British journalist on May 8, 2010, Shahzad told a Connecticut neighbor in 2008, “They shouldn’t be shooting people from the sky. You know, they should come down and fight.” Aerial murders of persons outside battlefields are contrary to international law because they are “extrajudicial executions.” Shahzad explicitly accused Bush of being a “war criminal.”

In what is likely to go down in the annals however as one of the low points in US and maybe even world history, with regard to seeing justice for the crimes tyrants commit against innocent people, in the class-action case, Saleh v. Bush (N.D. Cal. Mar. 13, 2013, No. C 13 1124 JST), filed March 13, 2013 in a California district court, attorneys for Obama’s Department of Justice, on behalf of the Bush-43 administration, including named defendants Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell and Wolfowitz, had the gall to argue in defense of those allegations in an August 14, 2013 filing, by making the shocking statement that each of the defendants:
“Were acting within the scope of their federal office or employment at the time of the incidents out of which Counts I and II of the Complaint in this matter arose.”
Which, according to the complaint, are the war-crimes of conspiring and committing the crime of aggression against the people of Iraq, without cause or the acceptance of the invasion among the international community, and crimes against humanity.
So, in other words, according to the Bush administration, just as the NAZIs had tried to argue almost 70 years earlier to no avail, the excuse ("law") they've used, on multiple occasions now, for committing these war-crimes and sticking a knife through the very heart of the Geneva Conventions, with almost open enthusiasm, in addition to rebuking the wishes of the very UN they created out of the ashes of an almost identical situation, is because for some, all they were doing is following orders and for others, because it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. If you believe the official story.
All while companies like Halliburton (ahem...), bin Laden Group, The Chertoff Group, Blackwater and others made a killing profiting from the suppression of liberty and on death and destruction, as well as the subsequent rebuilding, of nations unfriendly to their overall geopolitical and economic agenda (aka, "terrorists"). Yet, the whistle-blowers who exposed many of these crimes and the crimes of the current administration, such as Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden, and the journalists who help them do it, are somehow regarded as traitors.
The problem this time however is that the establishment and media behind the persecution of the Nazis are generally the same ones now being accused of doing some of those very things in Iraq and elsewhere. So, how can anyone truly expect any real justice to be served under those circumstances?

During the administration of George W. Bush, the subject of “war crimes” was taboo in the media, and that silence has continued under the administration of Barack Obama. Whereas the Bush administration openly flouted their war crimes, Obama’s approach toward the subject has been cosmetic and subtle. But American war crimes remain. In a report submitted last month to the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva, Emmerson, a British barrister, recommended: “Those individuals found to have participated in secretly detaining persons and in any unlawful acts perpetrated during such detention, including their superiors if they have ordered, encouraged or consented to secret detentions, should be prosecuted without delay and, where found guilty, given sentences commensurate with the gravity of the acts perpetrated.”
In Emmerson's legal opinion, the Obama administration's refusal to bring violators of international law to justice amounts to the disregard of Geneva conventions that includes international humanitarian law (IHL) and international human rights law (IHRL). He
goes on: “There is now credible evidence to show that CIA ‘black sites’ were located on the territory of Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Romania and Thailand and that the officials of at least 49 other States allowed their airspace or airports to be used for rendition flights.”
While Bush era officials carried out such crimes, Obama and his officials are guilty of covering up by failing to provide the requisite information and documents. In other words, they are accomplices to war crimes perpetrated by Bush era officials.
