JAPAN TO DUMP 1 MILLION TONS OF RADIOACTIVE WATER INTO PACIFIC

UPDATE NOV. 27, 2019:
FROM MSN, 11/20/2019:

Leaked TEPCO documents have shown that varying amounts of 62 radionuclides — including strontium, iodine, cesium and cobalt — have NOT been removed from the water stored in tanks at Fukushima's nuclear power plant.
That's SIXTY-TWO RADIONUCLIDES.

The company has also been criticized for refusing to permit independent organizations to test the water that is being stored at the site.

But, on Nov. 22, TEPCO told U.N. officials from about 20 countries that the risk of such dumping is "small".
Has anyone kept count of the innumerable lies TEPCO and the Abe regime have been busted telling the international community?

"My take on this is that they have already reached a decision and that all these discussions now on the options are purely theater," said Azby Brown, the lead researcher for Tokyo-based nuclear monitoring organization Safecast Japan.

Other options included evaporation and burying the water, but why go to that expense when Japan can just dump their nuclear contamination in the Pacific for all marine life and the rest of the world to deal with? CHEAP FIXES, BIGGER PROFITS trump doing what's right.

Mainstream media, always on the side of the nuclear industry, always helping that gang avoid investigations and shut-downs, launched an all-out propaganda effort to back up lying TEPCO's claim.

BUT A FEW FOUGHT BACK.

Fukushima is not safe for 2020 Olympics, nuclear scientists warn
"Would Russia hold the 1994 Olympics at Chernobyl, the site of the 1986 meltdown? Only 8-years later, do we really think it’s safe to hold the Olympics on Fukushima soil? What would common sense tell us?

According to 60 Minutes Australia, many experts are asking for the Fukushima Olympics to be canceled due to radioactive contamination. Yet, when The Washington Post ran an article on the struggles Fukushima and the residents are facing, there is no mention of what dangers Olympians and spectators may face in an area that has radiation levels way beyond what is safe for humans. Such high levels are likely to continue for decades to come.

In fact, in that same article, Simon Denyer wrote that when it rains, the water itself is radioactive. Residents feel forced by the Japanese government to return, as the government cuts pensions if residents refuse, essentially forcing them and their children for increased risk of cancer and other health problems. Childhood cancer is increasing in the affected zones, Denyer reports.

Why the silence? Where is the INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE?

Is it okay for athletes and spectators to spend two weeks in a radioactive zone so that the Japanese government can make everyone believe that radiation exposure is no big deal? Such wouldn’t have to do with money over human life would it?
Where is the U.S. news media that often looks for a big story like this to crack?
Why the silence?"

ABOVE: A DEAD SEA LION ON CALIFORNIA'S COAST SHOWS HIGH RADIATION READINGS.

Published at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies:
"If iodine-131 is taken up by seaweed or plankton, it can be transferred to fish, which are in turn eaten by larger fish, as has been seen in the Irish Sea.

Fish can also take in radionuclides in the water through their gills, and radionuclides can be ingested by mollusks. But Edward Lazo, deputy division head for radiation protection at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, said, “This is not a fully developed science and there are lots of uncertainties.”

Radioactive iodine is taken up by the thyroid in humans and marine mammals — or in the case of fish, thyroid tissue — and is also readily absorbed by seaweed and kelp.

Cesium acts like potassium and is taken up by muscle. Cesium would tend to stay in solution and can eventually end up in marine sediment where, because of its long half life, it will persist for years. Because marine organisms use potassium they can also take up cesium. “Cesium behaves like potassium, so would end up in all marine life,” said Arjun Makhijani, president of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research in Maryland.

“It certainly will have an effect.”

AS THE GUARDIAN, UK, REPORTED ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2019:

"The operator of the ruined Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant will have to dump huge quantities of contaminated water from the site directly into the Pacific Ocean, Japan’s environment minister has said – a move that would enrage local fishermen.

Tepco admitted last year that the water in its tanks still contained contaminants beside tritium [EVEN AFTER THEY "TREATED IT].

“The only option will be to drain it into the sea and dilute it,” the environment minister, Yoshiaki Harada, told a news briefing in Tokyo on September 10, 2019.

One recent study by Hiroshi Miyano, who heads a committee studying the decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi at the Atomic Energy Society of Japan, said it could take 17 years to discharge the treated water after it has been diluted to reduce radioactive substances to levels that meet the plant’s safety standards.

Any decision to dispose of the waste water into the sea would anger local fishermen, who have spent the past eight years rebuilding their industry.

Nearby South Korea has also voiced concern over the impact it would have on the reputation of its own seafood.

Last month, Seoul summoned a senior Japanese embassy official to explain how Fukushima Daiichi’s waste water would be dealt with.

The government spent 34.5bn yen (£260m) to build a frozen underground wall to prevent groundwater reaching the three damaged reactor buildings. The wall, however, has succeeded only in reducing the flow of groundwater from about 500 tonnes a day to about 100 tonnes a day.

Japan has come under renewed pressure to address the contaminated water problem before Tokyo hosts the Olympics and Paralympics next summer.

Six years ago during the city’s bid for the games, the prime minister, Shinzo Abe, assured the international community that the situation was 'under control'."

A LOT OF EXPERTS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS FROM OTHER NATIONS, JAPANESE RESIDENTS AND ACTIVISTS STRONGLY DISAGREE.
The government must commit to the only environmentally acceptable option for managing this water crisis which is long term storage and processing to remove radioactivity, including tritium,” Shaun Burnie, senior nuclear specialist with Greenpeace Germany, said in an email.

As far back as 2014, the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) recommended a controlled release of all this water into the ocean as 'the safest course of action', and Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Agency (NRA) has made similar recommendations.
SAFE?

THE HELL IT IS AND IAEA THEMSELVES ADMITTED THIS OVER 8 YEARS AGO!
DID THEY FORGET WHAT THEY ADMITTED?

However , it told the Consumer Association of Penang that some radiation levels could be justified."
HOW? HOW?

A 'Tritiated Water Task Force' convened by Japan's Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry (METI) in 2013 (PDF) examined five options in detail, including evaporating it and releasing it into the atmosphere, releasing it into the atmosphere as hydrogen gas, injecting it into deep geologic strata, storing it underground, and diluting it and discharging it into the ocean.
For reasons of cost, available technology, time required, and 'safety', in its final report issued in June, 2016, the task force concluded that ocean discharge was the least objectionable approach.

Japan Times: Fukushima’s tritiated water to be dumped into sea, TEPCO chief saysJuly 14, 2017

BOTTOM LINE...DUMPING IT IS CHEAP AND THE CURRENTS WILL CARRY IT AWAY FROM JAPAN, WHICH THEY HOPE WILL REDUCE THE RADIATION LEVELS BEFORE THE OLYMPICS.
LET THE MARINE LIFE, FISHERMEN, ALL WHO DEPEND ON FOOD FROM THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND ALL THE REST OF THE WORLD SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES...SHINZO ABE SAYS THE GAMES MUST BEGIN!

SPEND BILLIONS FOR THE GAMES, BUT NOTHING TO SAVE HUMAN LIVES.

JAPAN EXPECTS THE WORLD TO ACCEPT THE DISPROVEN MYTH THAT THE OCEAN CAN "CLEAN UP" THEIR MESS BY DISSOLVING ALL THAT DEADLY RADIATION. A FEW OF US KNOW NOW THAT IT HASN'T, THAT IT CAN'T, THAT IT WON'T.

YALE REPORTED:
Radioactivity in the Ocean: Diluted, But Far from Harmless

"The floating debris will likely be carried by currents off of Japan toward Washington, Oregon and California before turning toward Hawaii and back again toward Asia, circulating in what is known as the North Pacific gyre, said Curt Ebbesmeyer, a Seattle oceanographer who has spent decades tracking flotsam.

“All this debris will find a way to reach the West coast or stop in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch,” a swirling mass of concentrated marine litter in the Pacific Ocean, said Luca Centurioni, a researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego."

OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN...FOR AS LONG AS THEY RELEASE RADIATION INTO THE OCEAN.

ABE DOESN'T DARE DO A RELEASE INTO THE ATMOSPHERE BECAUSE THEN WE KNOW FROM HISTORY THAT HIS RADIATION WILL FALL ON THE EARTH FOR HUNDREDS TO THOUSANDS OF YEARS, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

THEN ANYONE WITH A GOOD GEIGER COUNTER COULD SCREAM BLOODY MURDER WHEN THAT RADIATION SET OFF THE ALARMS ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

AS WE'VE SEEN, NO ONE IS PROPERLY AND HONESTLY MONITORING THE OCEANS.
HE CAN GET BY WITH MURDER BY GOING THAT ROUTE.

JAPAN OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T HAVE THE DESIRE TO PRODUCE SAFE CONTAINMENT VESSELS FOR TOXIC WASTE, DECIDING TO GO THE CHEAPEST ROUTE OF USING FLIMSY, SHODDY TANKS INSTEAD.

IT'S AN ISLAND NATION WITHOUT THE LAND MASS TO SAFELY STORE THAT MUCH CONTAMINANT AWAY FROM HUMAN POPULATIONS, SO, SINCE JAPAN'S INEPT CREW JUST CAN'T SEEM TO FUNCTION LIKE RUSSIA'S DID TO QUICKLY CONTAIN THIS TOXIC "ACCIDENT", TEPCO, OR WHOMEVER, IS LOOKING AT 40 TO 100 YEARS OF MAKING ROOM FOR A MILLION TONS OF WASTE WATER EVERY 8 YEARS (AT LEAST), PLUS ALL THE DAILY SOLID WASTE, ALL THE RECONTAMINATED LAND AND EVERYTHING ON IT AFTER EACH RAIN, EACH TYPHOON, EACH EARTHQUAKE, EACH OPEN-AIR FIRE, EACH TIME THE WIND BLOWS THERE.

JAPAN HAS A VERY LIMITED FRESH WATER SUPPLY AND ABE KNOWS THIS ACCIDENT HAS ALREADY FOREVER POLLUTED SOME AQUIFERS AND MANY RIVERS AND STREAMS THERE.
TO INJECT THE TOXIC WATER INTO THE EARTH WOULD MEAN POLLUTING EVERY AQUIFER IN JAPAN THAT ISN'T ALREADY POLLUTED.

FROM THE LEADING NEWSPAPER IN JAPAN:
"Treated water at Fukushima plant far too unsafe to be dumped soon"

"Steps to purify radioactive water buildup at the stricken Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant have come to naught, forcing the operator, Tokyo Electric Power Co., to go back to the drawing board.

METI has been pushing TEPCO to accelerate the processing of contaminated water to show the world gathering in Japan for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics that the situation in Fukushima was under control and the region well on its way to rebuilding."

[As of June, 2018, they listed 850,000 tons of contaminated nuclear waste water was already in tanks.]

"On Sept. 28, 2018, TEPCO acknowledged that about 80 percent of the water in giant storage tanks on the premises exceeded government standards for radioactive materials even though it had already been processed [to decontaminate it].

Some of the "processed" water showed concentrations of radioactive materials at more than about 20,000 times the standard used to determine if the water is safe enough to [be] discharge[d] into the ocean.

Tests showed that strontium 90 was present in some tanks at levels of about 600,000 becquerels per liter of water, which is about 20,000 times the safety standard.

Strontium 90 has a half-life of about 29 years. It could lead to bone cancer or leukemia after being absorbed in the bones by breathing it, or ingesting it.

Utility officials also pointed to a delay in the replacement of absorbent in the ALPS device used to remove the radioactive substances.

TEPCO...could not rule out the possibility that radioactive materials at levels exceeding safety standards would again be detected even if that step is taken."

AGAIN, AS I'VE SAID MANY TIMES HERE, STRONTIUM, CESIUM, TRITIUM ARE BUT THREE OF THE DOZENS OF RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPES KNOWINGLY RELEASED DAILY FROM FUKUSHIMA.

NASA REPORTED FUKUSHIMA POLONIUM AND RADIOACTIVE IODINE SHOWED UP AT THEIR STENNIS FACILITY IN  MISSISSIPPI IN THE USA.

From the study,  'Release of plutonium isotopes from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident', by Jian ZHENG, Keiko TAGAMI, and Shigeo UCHIDA,
Research Center for Radiation Protection, National Institute of Radiological Sciences, Inage, Chiba, Japan:

"It was found that... the inventories of Pu isotopes in the reactors in the Fukushima DNPP were ca. (about) 3.5 times higher than those in the Chernobyl reactor.
Schwantes, et al, reported an estimation that roughly 2 X 10 to the third power % of the total plutonium inventory from Units 1 and 3 WAS released into the environment, which is two orders of magnitude higher than those of Zheng et al, and Grambow and Poinssot.

IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR (2019), VOICE OF AMERICA REPORTED

"Fukushima Contaminants Found in Alaska’s Bering Strait"
NOAA scientists found trace amounts of Fukushima-linked radionuclides in muscle tissue of fur seals on Alaska’s St. Paul Island in the southern Bering Sea. There was no testing of the water there. The way the currents work does bring the water up from the south.

IT'S NO WONDER RADIONUCLIDES ARE FOUND SO FAR AWAY...THE CESIUM IS KNOWN TO BE CONTAINED IN GLASS 'MICROPARTICLES', AND THE URANIUM IS ENCASED IN WHAT IS TERMED 'URANIUM BUCKYBALLS', WHICH ARE NOT SOLUBLE IN WATER.

IN A STUDY NOT PUBLISHED WIDELY, BUT PUBLISHED BY CORNELL UNIVERSITY:

"Caesium fallout in Tokyo on 15th March, 2011 is dominated by highly radioactive, caesium-rich microparticles"

"In order to understand the chemical properties and environmental impacts of low-solubility Cs-rich microparticles (CsMPs) derived from the FDNPP, the CsMPs collected from Tokyo were investigated at the atomic scale using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and dissolution experiments were performed on the air filters.

Remarkably, CsMPs 0.58-2.0 micrometer in size constituted 80%-89% of the total Cs radioactivity during the initial fallout events on 15th March, 2011. The CsMPs from Tokyo and Fukushima exhibit the same texture at the nanoscale: aggregates of Zn-Fe-oxide nanoparticles embedded in amorphous SiO2 glass.

The Cs is associated with Zn-Fe-oxide nanoparticles or in the form of nanoscale inclusions of intrinsic Cs species, rather than dissolved in the SiO2 matrix.
The Cs concentration in CsMPs from Tokyo (0.55-10.9 wt%) is generally less than that in particles from Fukushima (8.5-12.9 wt%).

The radioactivity per unit mass of CsMPs from Tokyo is still as high as 1E11 Bq/g, which is extremely high for particles originating from nuclear accidents.
Thus, inhalation of the low-solubility CsMPs would result in a high localized energy deposition by beta (0.51-12)*1E-3 Gy/h within the 100-micrometer-thick water layer on the CsMP surface) and may have longer-term effects compared with those predicted for soluble Cs-species."

The paper is now open and free to download.

The discovery of sparingly-soluble Fukushima-derived cesium microparticles, first documented by Adachi et al in 2013, and since then confirmed by many others.

KEPT OUT OF THE HEADLINES:

Fukushima-derived cesium-enriched microparticles (CsMPs), in which the cesium is often bonded within glass-like silicates, have been found all over Japan, even in Tokyo, the main site of those upcoming Olympics.

Uranium buckyballs were found all along America's west coast beginning years ago.

The Asia-Pacific Journal,Vol.12,Issue 7,No.4,February 17,2014
Extract A:

‘…Throughout this time the reactors continuously plumed out radiation into the environment. When seen through the refracted gaze of the media, it seemed as though the radioactive plumes that escaped the Daiichi plant were severe, but episodic and limited.

In fact, the plumes that made their way into the atmosphere after the venting and hydrogen explosions were peak releases, but they were merely steps above an already elevated level that fluctuated but never stopped.

One way to visualize this is to imagine the plume as a spotlight that swept back and forth, continuously pluming out radioactivity in the direction that light was shone: as the wind shifted the plume would move, but it never stopped.

The plume was unrelenting (and, arguably, still is today in another mode, as contaminated water leaks into the ocean), and as this radioactivity has been released into the environment, it has incrementally distributed collective, cumulative doses whose consequences for public health were terrifying in the early days of the crisis but may well be even worse in the long-term…."

THEN THERE'S ABE'S APPETITE FOR OWNING "THE BOMB".

NBC DID A WEAK ARTICLE ON 'THE BOMB IN JAPAN'S BASEMENT' IN 2011.
"According to a senior Japanese government official deeply involved in the country’s nuclear energy program, Japan has been able to build nuclear weapons ever since it launched a plutonium breeder reactor and a uranium enrichment plant 30 years ago.

Japan already has the technical capability, and has had it since the 1980s,” said the official. He said that once Japan had more than five to 10 kilograms of plutonium, the amount needed for a single weapon, it had “already gone over the threshold,” and had a nuclear deterrent.

Japan now has 9 tons of plutonium stockpiled at several locations in Japan and another 35 tons stored in France and the U.K. The material is enough to create 5,000 nuclear bombs. The country also has 1.2 tons of enriched uranium.

The U.S. wants Japan to return 331 kilos of weapons grade plutonium – enough for between 40 and 50 weapons – that it supplied during the Cold War.

[E]xperts suggest getting from raw plutonium to a nuclear weapon could take as little as six months after the political decision to go forward. A senior U.S. official familiar with Japanese nuclear strategy said the six-month figure for a country with Japan’s advanced nuclear engineering infrastructure was not out of the ballpark, and no expert gave an estimate of more than two years.

In February (2014), the official Chinese news agency Xinhua published a commentary that said if a country "hoards far more nuclear materials than it needs, including a massive amount of weapons grade plutonium, the world has good reason to ask why."

For at least four or five years, said Leonard Spector, deputy director of the Center for Non-Proliferation Studies in Monterey, the Japanese plutonium stockpile has been mentioned as a threat in Chinese defense white papers.
The Abe government has pushed for an aggressive decontamination program, made a grand show of removing topsoil, chopping trees and washing down houses and roads in contaminated areas, though experts say the effort only caused the contamination to move from one place to another, creating massive amounts of radioactive waste and the need for its long-term storage.

NEITHER TEPCO NOR THE ABE REGIME HAVE ANY INTENTION OF PAYING THE ENORMOUS PRICE OF LONG-TERM NUCLEAR WASTE STORAGE.

TO SAFELY BURY THE WASTE WOULD COST ABOUT $4 BILLION TO $6 BILLION PER YEAR AND TEPCO HAS ALREADY STATED THAT IT WILL BE AT LEAST FORTY YEARS BEFORE THEY CAN FULLY DECOMMISSION AND COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AT FUKUSHIMA.

According to a declaration filed Dec. 19, 2013, with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission by Mark Cooper, a senior fellow for economic analysis at the Institute for Energy and the Environment of the Vermont Law School, conservative estimates put the additional costs of at-reactor storage and disposal in a permanent repository between $210 billion to $350 billion.

ACCORDING TO AN ARTICLE BY STANFORD UNIVERSITY, INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, JULY 23, 2018:
"The half-lives of some of these elements stretch into tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years.

[The U.S.] is spending $6 billion a year trying to deal with our problem of long-term SAFE storage, and we’ll continue to spend $4.5 to $5 billion a year without solving the problem.

The projected total cost of clean-up after the Manhattan Project is well over $300 billion. That project ended in 1947 and the Hanford nuclear "super-site" in Washington state is still radioactive and STILL polluting the environment every day with radiation... 72 years later.
What does that tell us about Fukushima?
America’s nuclear waste is accumulating at over 75 sites in 35 states.

In 2016, Stanford scholars discussed why there was no clear way forward for its final disposal. Not much has improved.

The Department of Energy was to take ownership of this spent fuel on January 1, 1998, but they didn’t because there was no geologic repository.

The ONE site they did have, the WIPP underground nuclear waste storage facility in New Mexico, appears to be crumbling and caving in. It, too, is leaking.

Now the utilities who have the fuel have to continue to deal with it onsite. They have sued the federal government for its failure to take ownership of the fuel, so now we pay about half-a-billion dollars a year to the utilities for them to simply keep the fuel because there’s no place for it to go.
It rests where they put it and that's usually above ground.

The projected cost of this 'penalty', let’s say, is something on the order of many tens of billions of dollars, depending on how long the spent fuel has to remain at the reactor sites.

The cost of doing nothing over time will be equivalent to what we charge the rate payers, $40 billion over time. That doesn’t even include compensation to workers in defense facilities, soldiers exposed during atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons, and so on.

THE LIE THAT IT'S SAFELY KEPT...

We're told it’s well-contained, but there are some difficulties with how it’s stored. In some cases, the used fuel is kept in pools. Those pools have filled, and they weren’t meant for extended storage. We should be trying to get that fuel into what are called dry casks: obelisks of concrete and metal.

Forbes, Sep 08, 2017:
"In the immediate aftermath of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that crippled the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant, Japan idled all 54 of its nuclear plants. Now, though, five of them are back."

54 SITES ON THAT SMALL ISLAND NATION PLAGUED BY TYPHOONS, EARTHQUAKES, VOLCANOES, TSUNAMIS, AND HIGH COASTAL WINDS DAILY.

LOOKING AT JAPAN, WHY WOULD SUCH A SMALL NATION EMPLOY ALMOST AS MANY NUCLEAR REACTORS AS AMERICA IF IT HAD NO SAFE WASTE STORAGE FACILITY?

LOOKING AT JAPAN'S EXCLUSION ZONE, IN COMPARISON TO CHERNOBYL, SHOULD SHOW US THAT SHINZO ABE HAS NO INTENTION OF LOSING ANY LAND FOR DECADES. HE'S SUBTLY FORCING EVACUEES TO EITHER MOVE BACK OR FACE AN END TO THEIR PALTRY 'COMPENSATIONS'.

HE'D RATHER KEEP COMPENSATING TEPCO IN THEIR CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES AND LIES THAN MAKE PAYMENTS TO THOSE DAMAGED MOST BY HIGH LEVELS OF RADIATION EXPOSURE.

HIS ADMINISTRATION EVEN ISSUED A GAG ORDER  ON NEWS AGENCIES, ON ANY PHYSICIANS, SCIENTISTS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS PUBLICLY STATING THAT CANCERS OR DEATHS IN JAPAN ARE CAUSED BY FUKUSHIMA RADIATION.

A LOOK AT CHERNOBYL'S CHILDREN 40 YEARS LATER SHOWS US IT'S A LIE THAT NUCLEAR ACCIDENTS DON'T CAUSE CANCERS AND BIRTH DEFECTS FOR DECADES. YES! YES THEY ASSUREDLY DO AND ARE AND WILL!

HE'D RATHER COMPENSATE TEPCO THAN ADMIT TO THE CITIZENS OF PLANET EARTH THAT HE IS KNOWINGLY IRRADIATING THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY.

HE WANTS EVERYTHING DECLARED OVER AND DONE SO HE CAN SCREW-OVER THE WORLD FOR AS LONG AS IT PLEASES HIM TO...ALL WHO ARE IN THE PATH OF THAT DAILY FALLOUT, ALL WHO UNKNOWINGLY DRINK CONTAMINATED WATER OR EAT CONTAMINATED FOODS, ALL WHO COME TO THE ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL TOKYO OLYMPICS.

WHO ARE HIS CHIEF ACCOMPLICES?
EVERY NUCLEAR "REGULATORY" AGENCY (aka, NUCLEAR REGULATORY ABOMINATION) ON EARTH, THOSE WHO HAVE ALLOWED ALL OF US TO BE RADIATED EVERY DAY SINCE THE FIRST NUCLEAR TESTS.

LOOK AT A PDF THAT SHOWS HOW THE ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION LIED TO US AND MADE US ALL GUINEA PIGS UNTIL THE TRUTH FINALLY CAME OUT, SOMETIMES FROM THE VERY SCIENTISTS WHO CREATED 'THE BOMB'.

"They Lied to Us" - TIME

(Reuters, Dec. 5, 2013) - Storage tanks at the Fukushima nuclear plant like one that spilled almost 80,000 gallons of radioactive water this year were built in part by workers illegally hired in one of the poorest corners of Japan.

An Okinawa crew was recruited by Token Kogyo, an unregistered broker, and passed on to work at the Fukushima plant under the direction of Tec, a larger contractor which reported to construction firm Taisei Corp, records show.
That practice of having workers hired by a broker but managed by another contractor is banned under Japanese law to protect workers from having their wages skimmed and to clarify who is responsible for their safety.

At Fukushima, the workers from Okinawa were told by a Tec supervisor to lie to the plant’s operator, Tokyo Electric Power Co, and say they were employed by Tec.

As an interim measure, Tepco rushed an order for steel tanks that could be put together quickly after being shipped in parts and assembled on site.
These bolted-style storage tanks, each as tall as a 3-story building, were intended to last only until 2016.

In August, one of the tanks was discovered to have leaked about 300 tons of water.

[HOW MANY MORE LEAKERS CAN WE IMAGINE THAT TEPCO NEVER REPORTS?]

Weeks later, radiation at the ground near one of the tanks spiked to a level so high that it would have caused radiation sickness within an hour if a worker had been directly exposed.
That spike, after an apparent leak of radioactive water, occurred in the same area where the Okinawa crew had been working.

Workers at Fukushima splashed by toxic water | The Japan Times

July, 2013:
"The fluid splashed onto the men when they accidentally removed a pipe connected to the system, officials from Tokyo Electric Power Co. said.

The highly toxic water spilled out in the incident, covering the desalination facility’s entire floor, Tepco said.

About 10 tons of water may have leaked, the utility said, noting the pipe in a reading in August contained some 37 million becquerels per liter of radioactive substances that emit beta rays such as strontium-90, against the legal limit of 30 becquerels for strontium-90.

The mishap is the latest in a spate of leaks and problems caused by human error.

Wednesday’s incident will do little to improve the commonly held view that Tepco is making a mess of handling the crisis.

Earlier this week it was revealed a worker had accidentally switched off power to pumps keeping broken reactors at a steady temperature.

Tepco workers have been pouring thousands of tons of water onto the reactors to keep them cool.

The radioactive water is being stored in around 1,000 tanks, which have recently been the source of leaks.

Tepco has so far revealed no clear plan for the water stored on the site, but experts have said that ultimately it will have to be dumped in the Pacific once it has been scoured of the worst of its radioactive load.
But this suggestion faces opposition from fishermen, environmental groups and neighboring countries."

THAT "SCOURING", AS WE SAW ABOVE, LIKE ALMOST EVERYTHING THAT TEPCO/THE ABE REGIME HAS TRIED, FAILED.

THEY FAIL AND THEN THEY LIE ABOUT FAILING UNTIL THEY'RE BUSTED, THEN SHRUG, SAY, "OOPS, SORRY" AND GO RIGHT BACK TO DOING WHAT THEY'VE BEEN DOING FOR 8 YEARS NOW.

HERE IS A LIST OF MAJOR RADIOACTIVE POISONS IN OUR DAILY RADIOACTIVE "COCKTAIL" FROM JAPAN:

"Pu 239 is an alpha emitter, has a half life of 240,000 years, mimics iron and goes to the liver, spleen and bone marrow. It causes 10 to 1000 times more chromosome damage than the same amount of gamma or beta radiation. It is pyrophoric (combusts upon contact with oxygen) and changes its volume and density with temperature change. Its heat makes it highly toxic when ingested, glows in the dark (Pu 238), and currently fuels the Curiosity rover on Mars.

Caesium 137, a gamma emitter, is the most abundant fission product in nuclear fuel and nuclear waste. Its half-life of 30 yrs, high-energy decay, chemical reactivity and high solubility (Ci), means that Cs 137 will be present for roughly 300 years after Fukushima. It attracts to muscle tissues (prostate/ovary/breast cancer) and causes malignant muscle cancers (rhabdomyosarcomas, heart arrhythmias and cardiac arrests, muscle seizures, loss of consciousness, memory loss).

Strontium (Sr89-90) mimics calcium, goes to the bone and teeth, causes bone cancers and leukemia and is radioactive for 300 years.

Along with the above, there are many other radionuclides in the inventory of nuclear reactors:

Alpha particles – thorium, radium, neptunium, curium 244, americium 241, californium, polonium 210 (transuranic and actinides);

Gamma particles – Cobalt 60, Irridium 92, Barium 137, Iodine 131, Lanthanum 140; Beta – Tritium, Phosphorous, Nickel, Carbon;

Alpha and Beta particles – Strontium 90, Cadmium 113, Europium 155, Krypton 85, Tin 121 (Sn), Samarium 90; noble gases – Xenon and Iodine 131.

As the weight or chemical mass of a radionuclide causes most damage to internal structures, when ingested, heavy alpha particles (PLUTONIUMS ESPECIALLY) are even more destructive than beta and gamma emitters."

BREATHE, EAT, DRINK, GO OUTSIDE AND GET YOUR DAILY FUKUSHIMA RADIATION DOSES, PEOPLE OF EARTH.

WE ARE VICTIMS OF ABE'S SILENT NUCLEAR WAR.
AFTER ALMOST 9 YEARS, IT WILL BE 9 YEARS IN MARCH, 2020, WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO STOP THIS MADNESS.

AS A BALTIMORE NEWS MEDIA STATED:
It’s time to hold the Japanese government and the IOC responsible for their hasty and reckless push to ignore the risks facing displaced citizens, spectators, and athletes and demand that the games be postponed and moved from Fukushima.

These are indeed dark times, where governments and their ties to corporate interests spin truths and make fictions that all of us would like to be real, but sadly money is always at the end of this contaminated rainbow. In the years to come, when the cancer cases mount, these same organizations and governments will pretend they knew nothing. Let’s all remember that.

"The lowest and slowest possible dose from ionizing radiation is one ionization track per cell nucleus, on the average, and it occurs well below 10,000 millirems per exposure. Nine separate studies exist in the mainstream medical literature showing that excess cancer is induced by exposures at or near the lowest and slowest possible doses. Five of those studies are specifically of breast cancer, and include single medical exposures of children, chronic occupational exposures and serial medical exposures.

Not only does the epidemiologic evidence show that there is no threshold dose below which ionizing radiation is harmless, but also undisputed evidence from humans shows that exposure at the lowest and slowest conceivable dose induces permanent, unrepaired genetic mutations. Genetic mutations are widely agreed to be at the root of malignancy.

Is it any wonder that, with respect to radiation-induced cancer, the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation concluded in 1993 that ''it is highly unlikely that a threshold dose exists,'' and that Britain's National Radiological Protection Board concluded in 1995 that the evidence ''falls decisively'' against a safe threshold?"

  1. Yeah dump it to the Pacific ocean and see mother nature wash you out to the ocean again🤬🤬

    1. @ Unknown, the problem with them being washed out to sea is that that would take ALL their damnable nuclear reactors, PLUS whatever thy have hidden underground, with them. Then the Pacific would die completely in short order and all of us would die sooner. I dunno, maybe that would be 'better' than what we're up against NOW?

  2. Glad to see that the different types of radioactive waste spewing daily is addressed here. I have read that there are over 200 different types of radioactive waste produced by nuclear power. No one ever mentions that. I also question the number of tanks. Why does this number not increase? The mainstream media and Abe's government in collusion with Tepco has been very effective in making sure that the public are kept in the dark about the true situation at Fukushima. I think that they know something we don't. I am referring here not just to Fukushima but all of the worldwide issues facing humanity and all the flora and fauna. It's the only thing that makes sense as to why governments everywhere continue to go about as business as usual. Is there a meteorite on its way? Fukushima is the biggest threat to the world and yet the silence is deafening. Why? I think part of the reason is that they have no solution, it's way worse than we know and they are scared to death that when people find out that they and their loved ones have been exposed and it is just a matter of time before they get cancer or any of the other life threatening diseases that are caused by radiation that they are going to be very angry. When they realize that their future and their loved ones futures have been jeopardized and stolen they become very dangerous. Those that have nothing to lose are the most dangerous. Obviously Chernobyl taught Tepco nothing. They were warned not once but twice that they needed to move the back up pumps out of the basement and increase the height of the tsunami walls. I hope I am wrong. Don't call me an alarmist or fear mongerer. I call it like I see it. I haven't even started to talk about the bremsstrahlung effects from those tanks.

    1. I warned both GE Execs., and NRC Officials, after my visit to Zimmer...going as high as Jack Welch's private secretary, Susan Baye.

    2. Dave, do you mean Rosanne Badowski? She's been Jack's personal assistant since 1988.

    3. If you mean the Zimmer plant in Ohio, I'm still wondering HTH it passed building code to be even a coal plant. How that cooling tower limps along, year after year...why Ohio seems not to give a damn...etc.

    4. Dave, about your claim to have bought & dismantled 'Black Fox'. What was there to dismantle? And why is PSO still listed as owner? " During the nine-year legal battle, only about 1 percent of construction was done at Black Fox, said Stan Whiteford, PSO's communication consultant.

PSO still owns the 2,400 acres of basically pasture land, which it leases to a couple of area ranchers, Whiteford said.

The site, dressed in the drab colors of winter, looks like the wasteland of an unfinished, uninhabited city.

A short railroad spur and some paved and gravel roadways and fencing cross the land. The concrete bunker-like storage areas have a new use -- providing shelter for cattle."

  3. Hi, Liz. IF they truly were tanking ALL that water, yeah, we'd see a helluva lot more tanks. One or more of those buildings is leaking like a worn-out sieve and they know why, but aren't saying. Way back at the beginning, TEPCO was busted by locals burning solid contaminated waste on barges just off the coast. Imagine what they're trying to get away with now? That TEPCO is too irresponsible and criminal to not dispose of solid waste properly, dare we wonder what they're hiding all these long almost 9 years?
Don't know how often you read here (but thanks for reading & commenting) but every now & then, even the media has been busted in their lies and I've published a blog just about every time that happened. After all, WHO OWNS THE MEDIA but the CORPORATE world, Wall Street big names? Hell, even NOAA colludes with the dumpers, ALL DUMPERS, when they try to make us believe it's red tide, algae blooms, warmer oceans (RADIATION BOILS WATER, btw), some new or rare disease that attacks ALL marine life. Well, yeah, lying NOAA, that disease is called RADIATION SICKNESS. When the poor sea lion pups were dying by the thousands a few years back & marine critters were washing ashore by the MILLIONS every day, they absolutely did admit the pups had cancer. NO marine mammals on that grand a scale can have cancer except for 2 reasons; chemical pollution and RADIATION. I had been cancer free for 10 years when Fukushima hit us, and was diagnosed in 2016 & again this year with NEW cancers, NOT metastases but NEW ones. There was an uptick in cancers just about everywhere after "FUKU". Pediatricians warned new parents to get their newborns' thyroids tested, then all that got muffled, then silenced. We're "FUBAR" as the military often says, and it's simply too damned late.
Japan suppresses SO MUCH real news (about like America & all other nations do) that we'll never know how many are already dead there, how many newborns were born with deformities or died inn utero.
We're ON OUR OWN, my friend. And it's FOR THE CHILDREN, our only hope for sanity in the mad world of NOW, & the future, that I keep banging out the facts. No matter where children are, I'm FOR the kids.
All the best to you & yours, Liz. But, y'know, there are days I PRAY for a big meteor strike. I don't want to see my great-grandchildren go through the hell of a slow death by radiation...or cancer from it. We need a MIRACLE to reverse this thing. Hope we get it.

  4. Well, I don't know you guys but I was at 60km from Fukushima in 2013 and the radioactivity of every piece of grass, stones, trees, streets and food was lower than radioactivity in Europe. it was around 0.08 sivierts which is remarkable.

    1. REALLY, "ANONYMOUS"? WERE YOU THERE ANONYMOUSLY? YOU MEASURED "EVERY PIECE OF GRASS, STONES, TREES, ALL OF THAT? LUDICROUS OF YOU TO IMAGINE THAT COULD BE DONE IN UNDER 7 YEARS! IT'D TAKE DECADES. I THINK YOU'RE NOT AN HONEST TROLL, ANONYMOUS. IF YOU HAD BEEN THERE IN DEC. 2013, MAYBE YOU WOULD HAVE HEARD FROMM THE LOCALS THE NEWS THAT ON 8 Dec 13,"Outdoor radiation levels have reached their highest at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant, warns the operator company.Radiation found in an area near a steel pipe that connects reactor buildings could kill an exposed person in 20 minutes, local media reported. The plant’s operator and the utility responsible for the clean-up Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) detected record radiation levels on a duct which connects reactor buildings and the 120 meter tall ventilation pipe located outside on Friday. TEPCO measured radiation at eight locations around the pipe with the highest estimated at two locations – 25 Sieverts per hour and about 15 Sieverts per hour, the company said."
DID YOU GET THAT PART ABUT THE COMPANY ADMITTING THIS, "ANONYMOUS"? DO YOU NEED THIS IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE? I CAN OBLIGE THAT.
HOW DID YOU MISS THE PROTESTERS THAT GATHER DAILY ON STREETS OF TOKYO, ETC, WITH MEGAPHONES AND SIGNS SHOWING CONTINUED PROOF OF HIGH RADIATION LEVELS, & THE PROTESTERS WHO HOLD UP SIGNS OF MUTANT ANIMALS, BIRDS, INSECTS, PLANTS, BABIES? THEY'RE OUT THERE ALL OVER JAPAN, ANTI-NUKE PROTESTS, SO WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU, IN 2013, ANONYMOUS, AND COULD YOU SHOW US PROOF YOU RECORDED THAT LEVEL, INCONTROVERTIBLE PROOF? WE HAVE PROOF IT WENT SKY-HIGH THERE IN 2013 VIA MANY NEWS ARTICLES THAT SHOWED READINGS. DO YOU READ THE NEWS, OR DO YOU JUST MAKE SOME UP TO SOOTHE YOURSELF? I CALL BS ON YOUR STATEMENT. TROLL SOMEWHERE ELSE. I ONLY ALLOWED YOUR COMMENT SO WE COULD ALL HAVE A CHUCKLE AT HOW RIDICULOUS YOUR CLAIM IS ON THOSE MEASUREMENTS.

I moderate ALL comments & such as these will NEVER make it here. Learn! This is not your mommy's basement. You will NOT get away with any CRAP you're driven to spread here. Try mainstream media.
