GAG ORDER ON NEWS FUKUSHIMA, JAPAN

THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO RUSH THROUGH LEGISLATION THAT WILL GAG THE PRESS, PREVENT ANY FURTHER NEWS ABOUT FUKUSHIMA FROM BEING REPORTED, PUNISH 'WHISTLE-BLOWERS' WITH UP TO 5 YEARS IN PRISON, AND THIS ON THE EVE OF THEIR IMPOSSIBLE ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THOSE DAMAGED FUEL RODS FROM UNIT 4 NEXT MONTH.  

I HOPE MY JAPANESE READERS WILL SHARE THIS WITH THOSE THEY CARE FOR.

"Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's government has agreed on draft legislation on the issue on Friday, November 1, and expects the parliament to vote on it during the current session, which ends on December 6.
With a comfortable majority in both chambers, the ruling coalition bloc would see no problems overcoming the opposition. Critics say the new law would give the executive too much power to conceal information from the public and compromise the freedom of the press.
Currently only issues of defense can be designated state secret in Japan, and non-military leakers face a jail term of up to one year. Defense officials may be sentenced to five years for exposing secrets, or 10 years, if the classified information they leaded came from the US military.
The new law would enact harsher punishment to leakers, but more importantly, it would allow government branches other than defense ministry designate information as state secrets. The bill names four categories of ‘special secrets’, which would be covered by protection – defense, diplomacy, counter-terrorism and counter-espionage.
Under the new legislation a ministry may classify information for a five-year term with a possibility of prolongation to up to 30 years. After that a cabinet ruling would be needed for the secret to be treated as such, but there is no limit for how long information may be kept under a lid.
"Basically, this bill raises the possibility that the kind of information about which the public should be informed is kept secret eternally," Tadaaki Muto, a lawyer and member of a task force on the bill at the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, told Reuters.
"Under the bill, the administrative branch can set the range of information that is kept secret at its own discretion."
Critics of the state secrets bill say it would undermine media’s ability to act as the public’s eye on the actions of the government and whoever it would choose to shield.
"It seems very clear that the law would have a chilling effect on journalism in Japan," said Lawrence Repeta, a law professor at Meiji University.
Japanese law has no clear definition of what kind of new gathering could be deemed ‘grossly inappropriate’. The bill introduces a jail sentence of up to five years for non-officials, including media professionals, using such methods to obtain information. But it does not clearly state that if a journalist reporting on a state secret is found to have obtained the information legitimately, he or she would not be punished. This has led critics to dismiss the ‘freedom of press’ provisions as political window dressing.
Despite criticisms, the Japanese cabinet insists that the law be adopted promptly. It is needed to the planned establishment of a national security council, which would involve members from different ministries and agencies. The law would protect information exchanged through the new body from being leaked, the government says."

Abe's party has sought unsuccessfully to enact a harsher law on state secrets in the past.
Japan had harsh state secret legislations before and during World War II, so in the post-war period government secrecy has been viewed with suspicion, along with militaristic traditions and other things associated with the Imperial past."   

THIS SHOULD BE SEEN AS A CRIMINAL ACT TO KEEP THE JAPANESE PEOPLE AND THE REST OF THE WORLD COMPLETELY IN THE DARK ABOUT RECENT DEATHS, RADIATION SICKNESS, BIRTH DEFECTS, THYROID CANCERS, ANIMAL DIE-OFFS, CONTAMINATION OF THE TOKYO WATER SUPPLY, TOXIC CONTAMINATION OF THE ENTIRE PACIFIC OCEAN AND ANY LAND MASS IT TOUCHES, CONTINUED INCREASING, ALWAYS INCREASING, DETECTED VERY HIGH RADIATION LEVELS WITHIN A 50-100 MILE RADIUS, AND CONTINUED FALSE REPORTING BY TEPCO AND THE JAPANESE MINISTRY.

THE PEOPLE, ALL PEOPLE OF EARTH, HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AT FUKUSHIMA. IT AFFECTS ALL OF US!

ABE HAS BEEN ADVISED OVER AND OVER AGAIN, EVER SINCE 2011, TO EVACUATE AT LEAST ALL OF THE PREFECTURE AND TOKYO AS WELL, TO GET PEOPLE OUT OF THERE WITHIN 100 MILE RADIUS FROM THAT TOXIC SITE, BUT HE HAS SAID THAT WOULD RUIN JAPAN ECONOMICALLY.  
HE SEEMS TO BE PUTTING MONEY ABOVE THE LIVES OF HIS OWN PEOPLE!!!

UNIT 4 TOWER IS TIPPING AND SINKING AT AN ALARMING RATE AND HAS DEVELOPED CRACKS.
TEPCO SAYS THE RECENT 7.1 QUAKE AND MANY RECENT 5.0 EARTHQUAKES AND THE 4 TYPHOONS/TROPICAL STORMS THROUGH THE AREA RECENTLY HAVE "DONE NO DAMAGE TO THE BUILDINGS".
THAT CERTAINLY CANNOT BE THE CASE, SAY EXPERTS.

TEPCO DOES ADMIT HIGHEST LEVELS OF RADIATION SINCE THE DISASTER IN THE PAST WEEK, AS MUCH AS 6,500 TO 10,000 TIMES MORE FOR CERTAIN RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPES LEAKING INTO THE GROUND, THE AQUIFER BENEATH THE DAI'ICHI PLANT, THE AIR ABOVE THE PLANT, AND INTO THE PACIFIC OCEAN.

IF YOU LIVE IN TOKYO, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT CONTAMINATION OF TOKYO'S WATER SUPPLY HAS BEEN REPORTED BY VALID SOURCES, AS HAS HIGH RADIATION LEVELS FROM SAMPLES IN TOKYO PUBLIC PARKS SOIL, AND FOOD AT LOCAL TOKYO MARKETS.

LIVESTOCK NEAR THE PLANT HAVE JUST BEGAN A SUDDEN DIE-OFF THAT OWNERS OF THE ANIMALS BLAME ON THE CESIUM LEVELS DETECTED IN SAMPLES FROM THEIR CORPSES. CATTLE AND DOGS HAVE BOTH BEGUN BEHAVING AGGRESSIVELY TOWARD HUMANS THERE.

SOME JAPANESE DOCTORS HAVE COME FORWARD TO SAY THEY ARE BEING TOLD BY GOVERNMENT TO NEVER AGREE THAT THESE ABNORMALITIES AND SICKNESSES ARE RELATED TO THE RADIATION THAT KEEPS SPILLING INTO THE ENVIRONMENT. SOME HAVE BEEN THREATENED WITH ARREST AFTER THEIR REPORTS. SOME MOTHERS THERE HAVE POSTED URGENT INTERNET REQUESTS FOR ANYONE TO COME AND TAKE THEIR CHILDREN OUT OF DANGER.

BOTH PRIME MINISTER ABE AND TEPCO HAVE ASKED FOR HELP FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY, BUT NO ONE CAN SEE ANY WAY TO EVEN CAP THE FUKUSHIMA PLANTS BECAUSE OF ITS LEAKING INTO THE GROUND AND BECAUSE OF THE MISSING FUEL RODS THAT HAVE SUNKEN INTO THE EARTH AND CANNOT BE LOCATED.
THE UNREPAIRED DAMAGE TO THE PLANT, EXTREME AND UNTIL RECENTLY UNDER-REPORTED OR UNREPORTED LEAKAGE, AND THE LIES WENT ON TOO LONG, MANY SAY, MAKING A SOLUTION AT THIS POINT IN TIME IMPOSSIBLE.
IT JUST SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A REAL SOLUTION NOW.  

MAJOR NUCLEAR EXPERTS AND SCIENTISTS HAVE WARNED THAT AN ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE UNIT 4 FUEL RODS CAN ONLY END IN AN ACCIDENT THAT WILL CREATE A FISSION EVENT WHICH WILL CREATE AN EXPLOSION 14,000 TIMES MORE DEADLY THAN HIROSHIMA JUST IN THE CASE OF CESIUM THAT WOULD BE RELEASED INTO THE ATMOSPHERE AS FALLOUT.

HARVEY WASSERMAN HAS WARNED THAT : "This is a job that should only be undertaken by a dedicated team of the world’s very best scientists and engineers, with access to all the funding that could be needed."
NUCLEAR FALLOUT EXPERT CHRISTINA CONSOLO WARNS THAT "The worst case scenario could be a true apocalypse.”
ARNIE GUNDERSEN, NUCLEAR ENGINEER STATES, “Time is of the essence as we remain concerned that another earthquake could still topple the damaged reactor building and the nuclear waste storage pond up in its attic. This could literally re-ignite the nuclear accident in the open atmosphere and inflame it into hemispheric proportions.”
JAPAN TIME REPORTED, "Removing the fuel rods is a task usually assisted by computers that know their exact location down to the nearest millimeter. Working virtually blind in a highly radioactive environment, there is a risk the crane could drop or damage one of the rods — an accident that would heap even more misery onto the Tohoku region.Under normal circumstances, such an operation would take a little more than three months."
TEPCO HAS SAID IT CAN DO THIS IN DAYS!

NUCLEAR NEWS STATED, "An operation with potentially “apocalyptic” consequences is expected to begin in a little over two weeks from now – “as early as November 8″ – at Fukushima’s damaged and sinking Reactor 4, when plant operator TEPCO will attempt to remove over 1300 spent fuel rods holding the radiation equivalent of 14,000 Hiroshima bombs from a spent fuel storage tank perched on the reactor’s upper floor. If the job is botched, radiation releases could force the evacuation of all humans from the site, and could cause electronic equipment to fail.  Humankind would be forced to stand helplessly by as billions of curies of deadly radiation pour into the air and the ocean."

"A chorus of voices has been sounding alarm over the never-been-done-at-this-scale plan to manually remove the 400 tons of spent fuel by TEPCO, who so far has been responsible for mishap after mishap in the ongoing crisis at the crippled nuclear plant." "This is a question that transcends being anti-nuclear.  The fate of the earth is at stake here and the whole world must be watching every move at that site from now on.  With 11,000 fuel rods scattered around the place, as a ceaseless flow of contaminated water poisoning our oceans, our very survival is on the line."

"Now however there is worse news that could prove dangerous to much of the world, and again Tepco could be responsible.
At Fukushima, used nuclear fuel rods are stored in pools and, especially at reactor 4, some of these pools are damaged and at risk of completely breaking open in the event of another earthquake. If one of the pools were to collapse or catch fire, then the impacts would affect the world.
Tepco could be responsible for unleashing this devastation on the world as starting in November they have decided to begin an operation to remove 400 tonnes of fuel rod assemblies, on their own. A workforce of thousands is preparing to work on the fuel rod pools at the instable reactor 4 in order to relocate them to a safer location.
Toshio Kimura, a former technician at Tepco, said that “Previously it was a computer-controlled process that memorized the exact locations of the rods down to the millimeter and now they don’t have that. It has to be done manually so there is a high risk that they will drop and break one of the fuel rods.”

THE WHOLE WORLD NEEDS CAMERAS TRAINED ON THOSE  NUCLEAR REACTORS, THE ENTIRE DAI'ICHI AREA, THE WORKERS, AND ALL THAT GOES ON THERE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK.
WE MUST BE ABLE TO CLOSELY MONITOR THIS SITUATION!
