ZIKA VIRUS FOUND IN ONLY 17 BABIES WITH MICROCEPHALY IN BRAZIL. IS MONSANTO PESTICIDE TO BLAME?

THAT'S RIGHT...OF ABOUT 1,200 BABIES TESTED SO FAR (AS OF FEB. 06) ONLY 17 SHOW ANY SIGN AT ALL OF ZIKA VIRUS.

OBVIOUSLY, THE CDC AND W.H.O. NEED TO PUBLISH THE FINDINGS OF THE BRAZILIAN PHYSICIANS AND HEALTH MINISTRY AND STOP THIS "ZIKA SCARE".

The Monsanto larvicide Pyriproxen was introduced into drinking water reservoirs in Brazil during the second half of 2014 by the Ministry of Health, in order to cope with a growing mosquito problem.
Prior to 2014, fewer than 150 cases of microcephaly were reported in Brazil, although the Zika virus was already present in the nation.

That's WHY they started using the pesticide.

An Argentine physicians association, known as Physicians in the Crop-Sprayed Towns, recently released a report challenging the notion that the upsurge in microcephaly birth defects is caused by Zika virus.

The Brazilian doctors’ and public health researchers’ organization Abrasco also agrees that Pyriproxyfen should be looked at as a key suspect in the widespread cases of birth defects.

Their report names the chemical as a likely cause of microcephaly, condemning the use of the chemical by saying it is contaminating the environment and not helping rid regions of Zika-carrying mosquitoes.

The association proposes an extensive list of other possible reasons for the increase in microcephaly cases.

Among these is the correlation between areas most effected and the use of chemical larvicide in the drinking water of said areas.
The chemical, Priproxyfen, was mandated by the State as part of an effort to kill disease-carrying mosquitoes.
Physicians in the Crop-Sprayed Towns refers to this effort as “a total failure, except for the company supplying [spray for] mosquitoes.”

And just which company might that be?
Sumimoto Chemical, a Japanese subsidiary of our good old friends Monsanto.

The critical report reads:

"Malformations detected in thousands of children from pregnant women living in areas where the Brazilian state added pyriproxyfen to drinking water is not a coincidence, even though the Ministry of Health places a direct blame on Zika virus for this damage, while trying to ignore its responsibility and ruling out the hypothesis of direct and cumulative chemical damage caused by years of endocrine and immunological disruption of the affected population.

Many policy-makers, even PAHO and OMS, epidemiologists, public health experts, chemists and politicians in general easily forget that human beings, every one of us, have deployed embryonic development processes in which we go through very different stages. The evolution from zygote to embryo, from embryo to foetus and from foetus to newborn, is not far from the development process of the mosquito affected by pyriproxyfen.

Statistics seem to back the group’s findings as well, with only 4.2% of microcephaly cases in Brazil reporting positive for the Zika virus.

IS A CORRELATION POSSIBLE?
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, ISN'T IT?

The pesticide interrupts the growth cycle of the Aedes group of mosquitoes, which spread Zika as well as other viruses.

These physicians merely suggest that it can also interrupt the growth cycle of fetuses in utero, that it can cause the birth defect microcephaly.

In the U.S., pyriproxyfen is not permitted to be used in drinking water, according to a statement emailed to Live Science from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

However, when the EPA assessed pyriproxyfen in 2015, the agency found that "no risks of concern were identified" in pyriproxyfen exposure resulting from a combination of food, water and residential uses.

According to an agency representative, the "EPA has thoroughly evaluated all registered uses of the pesticide pyriproxyfen in the United States and has determined that it is safe for developing mammals, including humans, and for the wildlife, fish, plants and endangered species."

HOW VERY ODD THAT THE EPA DID NOT "EVALUATE" PYRIPROXEN UNTIL 2015, AFTER, PERHAPS, IT SAW THAT THE PESTICIDE WAS GOING TO BE BLAMED FOR THE SUDDEN SPIKE IN MICROCEPHALY CASES...

AFTER ALL, THAT PESTICIDE WAS OKAYED FOR USE IN THE U.S. IN 1996!

"In one study, two groups of lactating goats were fed pyriproxyfen for five days. Extremely small amounts of pyriproxyfen WERE found in their milk.

Two groups of laying hens were fed pyriproxyfen for eight days.

Laboratory animals exposed to moderate and high doses of pyriproxyfen were less active and gained weight less quickly.

MORE THAN 44,000 BAD EFFECTS (INCLUDING DEATH) IN ANIMALS WAS REPORTED TO THE EPA IN 2008 ALONE!

YET THE EPA IS STILL "ASSESSING" THIS PESTICIDE?

BRAZILIAN STATE OFFICIALS SEEM CONVINCED THE PESTICIDE MAY BE TO BLAME...THEY'RE STOPPING THE SPRAYING WITH PYRIPROXIFEN!

On Saturday (Feb. 13), authorities in the state of Rio Grande Do Sul in Brazil issued an announcement saying that they were suspending the use of pyriproxyfen in drinking water, due to the concerns raised by PCST.

However, abandoning the pesticide could carry serious consequences for human health, according to Andrew Batholomaeus, a consultant toxicologist from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Canberra in Australia.

Batholomaeus said in a statement that this would likely lead to more illness and deaths from mosquito-borne diseases. "If these reports and suggestions are motivated by anything other than ignorance and poor scholarship they are deserving of the most strident condemnation," he said.

CHOICE has come up with a list of highly toxic chemicals about to be deregistered or already banned in the European Union which remain widely available in Australia.

CHOICE says many such products contain eight chemicals which are no longer registered in Europe.

The analysis of pesticide use in everyday products found some contained neurotoxin, chlorpyrifos, which is used as a household insect killer, and pyriproxyfen which have been banned in the U.S. for a number of years because of suspected links to childhood leukaemia and effects on the reproductive and immune systems.

AND WHO IMMEDIATELY DECRIED THE 'CHOICE' ARTICLE?
