ABOVE: "MISSING": HOTEL SECURITY GUARD, JOSE CAMPOS. CAMPOS 'DISAPPEARED', JUST PRIOR TO BREAKING HIS SILENCE, FROM A ROOM WHERE HE WAS ABOUT TO GIVE AN INTERVIEW TO FOX NEWS, ABC NEWS AND THREE OTHER NEWS MEDIA.
CAMPOS WAS ALLEGEDLY WOUNDED BY GUNFIRE FROM THE SHOOTER'S ROOM IN LAS VEGAS THE NIGHT OF THE DEADLY CONCERT SHOOTING.
FOX LISTS HIM AS "WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN".
"When the cameras were about to roll, and media gathered in the building to talk to him, Campos reportedly bolted, and, as of early Friday morning,
it wasn't immediately clear where he was.
“We were in a room and we came out and he was gone,” Campos' union president told reporters, according to ABC News’ Stephanie Wash.

Little is known about Campos, with few pictures to emerge of the security guard and no apparent online footprint surfacing to provide details about one of the central figures in the mass shooting.

SHE WAS TAKING MEDICATION FOR A PITUITARY TUMOR BUT CAUSE OF DEATH HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN AS OF THIS REPORT FROM MONDAY.
SHE WAS MARRIED AND MOTHER TO ONE YOUNG CHILD.
FBI Las Vegas Division Director Aaron Rouse. Rouse, pictured above, was named special agent in charge of the Las Vegas Division by FBI Director James B. Comey on July 28, 2016.
MANY SEEM TO BE UNHAPPY WITH HIS HANDLING OF THE 'INVESTIGATION'.
Pictured above, 3 of the 4 officers who first responded to the room where Stephen Paddock was found dead. MANY SEEM TO BE UNHAPPY WITH HIS HANDLING OF THE 'INVESTIGATION'.
In the back row, on the left, Detective Matthew Donaldson and on the right Officer Casey Clarkson who was present on the ground inside the concert arena.
In the front row both K-9 officers, on the left, Officer Dave Newton and on the right Officer Joshua Bitsko.
NOT PICTURED, the 4th man in the IMPROVISED team who breached the shooters room, S.W.A.T. member, Levi Hancock.
Hancock has not been interviewed by the press as of today, Oct. 13. LATEST DEVELOPMENT, ASIDE FROM THE MISSING CAMPOS AND THE DEATH OF THE YOUNG SURVIVOR:
“The Las Vegas shooter’s Reno home was left unguarded over the weekend and was broken into, causing another round of police activity in the normally quiet Del Webb neighborhood, police confirmed Tuesday. (Reno Gazette-Journal, Oct.10, 2017)
“Officer Tim Broadway with the Reno Police Department said the suspect or suspects broke into the home through the front door over the weekend, noting he was not sure how exactly the suspects gained entry.”
HOW COMPLETELY INEPT IS THAT!
The Del Webb Parkway home was in the spotlight, yet had no police presence against invaders?
When is the last time a house at the center of a horrific crime, now key evidence, has been left open for intrusion?
WHO'S IN CHARGE?
FBI, LVMPD, ATF, WHO?
WHO LET THIS HAPPEN?
The prime question should be, the above article states, did the suspect or suspects carry anything away?
[Or bring something into the house?]
NO.
NO, as I alluded to in my previous blog on this tragedy, the prime question should be "Was Vegas an FBI Sting Gone Bad?" as Canada Free Press had the stones to ask in an article dated Oct. 8, 2017: "It is terrible to contemplate, but the possibility that Stephen Paddock was an undercover federal operative or informant cannot be ruled out. He may have been either set up or used by ISIS and/or a federal agency in a scheme that backfired.
The feds may have thought they were going to catch ISIS in the act of preparing a major terrorist attack. ISIS terrorists may have thought Paddock was one of them but realized at the last minute that it was a set-up. So they claimed him as one of their own.
Those of us who have been around Washington D.C. for awhile know that the FBI has been rocked by scandals of all kinds and a series of failures, ranging from Ruby Ridge to Waco to 9/11. Because these scandals involve death, stonewalling, and cover-up, the agencies cannot be trusted to investigate themselves.
The New York Times said, “…agents have helped people suspected of being extremists acquire weapons, scope out bombing targets and find the best routes to Syria to join the Islamic State, records show.”
[THE FBI HAS BEEN BUSTED MANY TIMES IN THE PAST FOR AIDING AND ABETTING WOULD-BE KILLERS, FOR CREATING TERRORISTS WITH 'STING OPERATIONS', EVEN DRIVING ONE TO THE SCENE TO BLOW UP A BRIDGE, PROVIDING 'FAKE' EXPLOSIVE DEVICES, ETC]
For someone with even elementary knowledge of government incompetence and corruption, it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to consider the possibility that Paddock was a government informant or operative in a scheme that backfired. "
"MULTIPLE SHOOTERS"
HOW MANY TIMES DOES POLICE SCANNER AUDIO STATE THERE ARE MULTIPLE SHOOTERS FROM MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?
HOW MANY OF THOSE CONCERT-GOERS STATED VEHEMENTLY IN ON-AIR LIVE INTERVIEWS THAT THERE WERE SHOTS FIRED AT THEM FROM MULTIPLE ANGLES, THAT THEY SAW OTHER SHOOTERS?
ROCKY PALERMO COMES IMMEDIATELY TO MIND, AS DO THESE IN 'LIVE AT THE TIME' INTERVIEWS, AND BET shows others that were there asserting the same thing, multiple shooter.
But law enforcement continues to maintain there was only one shooter, despite the multiple witness testimonies to the contrary.
Law enforcement claims that they are aware of the "internet rumors" and social media claims, but never once acknowledge publicly that many of those claims are coming from eyewitnesses and shooting victims, people who were there at the time of the shooting, when the police were not.
It deserves further investigation, but we won't see that happen.
EVEN THE WASHINGTON POST CALLED ATTENTION TO THE SEVERAL POLICE OFFICERS WHO MAINTAINED THERE WERE MULTIPLE SHOOTERS.
“Have confirmed that there are two shooters with fully automated weapons,” an officer said, according to the transcript, about a minute after the hotel guard was wounded."
IN THEIR OWN WORDS: FROM POLICE AUDIO RECORDING.
Below is the radio chatter transcript of Las Vegas SWAT team members as they prepared to breach the concert shooter's door at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, as reported by USA Today on Oct. 3, 2017.

10:08 p.m. Pacific time, 8 minutes after first shots were fired, 8 minutes.: Police dispatcher receives the first reports of shots fired at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Country singer Jason Aldean is performing for 22,000 people, across the Las Vegas Strip from Mandalay Bay.
“We’ve got shots fired,” a police officer shouts into his radio, as recorded by Broadcastify.com. “Sounded like an automatic firearm.”
Thirty seconds later, another officer confirms the shooting.
“It’s coming from upstairs, Mandalay Bay,” the officer says. “I see the shots coming from Mandalay Bay, halfway up!”
HALFWAY UP WOULD HAVE BEEN FAR BELOW THE 32nd FLOOR.
10:09 p.m.: "We have an active shooter!” one officer says. “We have an active shooter inside the fairgrounds!”
10:19 p.m. Another group of four officers approaches the Mandalay Bay.
An officer already in position says a group is on that floor.
“Copy,” the first officer says. “We’re going to make our way to give you support.”
10:32 p.m. Police say multiple reports from the tower at McCarran International Airport about people walking across the runways.
10:34 p.m. Amid the confusion, police keep alert to other suspicious activity. A black truck races out of a parking lot. A few minutes later, an older man wearing fatigues and carrying a black bag from the direction of the shooting climbed into a white recreational vehicle.
10:50 p.m. As officers converged on the Mandalay Bay’s 32nd floor, they took precautions to avoid shooting each other.
“I’ll let you know before we come through a door, so we don’t have a blue on blue,” one officer said as he approached the floor.
The police confrontation with the gunman isn’t heard on the Broadcastify recording. But an officer on that floor of the hotel assures a colleague that they have enough firepower.
“I have multiple rifles and plenty of officers,” the officer says.
11:58 p.m. Police report the suspect is down. Paddock shot himself to death, police said later.
USA THEN REPORTS THE FOLLOWING AS IT HAPPENED:
1:55 a.m. Police announce at least 20 dead and 100 wounded.
1:57 a.m. Police search two vehicles linked to Paddock, a Hyundai Tucson and a Chrysler Pacifica.
3:38 a.m. Police announce at least 50 dead and 200 injured.
4:11 a.m. President Trump tweets his condolences and sympathies to the victims and their families.
4:30 a.m. Las Vegas police say two on-duty officers were injured during the shooting, with one in stable condition after surgery and the other with minor injuries.
5:33 a.m. Police identify Stephen Craig Paddock as the late shooter, with at least 50 dead and 406 injured. One off-duty Las Vegas police officer is among the dead.
USA TODAY reported on October 3, 2017:
“Some officers took it upon themselves to immediately go to the Mandalay Bay,” [Sheriff] Lombardo said. “There was a team of six officers that approached security. They went up the elevators after discussing the situation with security and obtaining intelligence. They checked each floor, until they located were where they believed to be the room.
Subsequently they approached the room, received gunfire, they backed off and SWAT responded.”
NO!
THE FIRST TEAM IN REPORTED NO GUNFIRE, NONE.
ONLY THE ONE HOTEL SECURITY GUARD REPORTED RECEIVING FIRE, AS YOU WILL SEE IN INTERVIEWS BELOW.
THEY WENT UP THE ELEVATORS?
WE WERE TOLD BY THE TEAM INTERVIEWED BY 60 MINUTES THAT THE ELEVATORS HAD BEEN SHUT DOWN SO THE SHOOTER COULD NOT ESCAPE BY THAT MEANS.
WE WERE TOLD THAT WAS THE REASON IT TOOK THE POLICE SO LONG TO GET UP TO THE 32nd FLOOR, NO ELEVATOR ACCESS.
DID THE "HEROIC FIRST ON THE SCENE" GROUP OF 4 GET UP THERE BY ELEVATOR OR NOT?
IF THEY DID, THAT WIPES OUT THE EXCUSE FOR HOW LONG IT TOOK THEM TO BREAK INTO THAT ROOM.
BTW, THEY SAID THEY HAD ONLY FOUR IN THEIR GROUP, NOT SIX.
On Monday [OCT.9], an updated timeline about when the Mandalay Bay security guard was shot was released by the sheriff, raising many questions.
Metro says that Campos arrived on the 32nd floor to investigate a door alarm.
When he tried to get in through the stairwell -- only to find the door didn't open -- Campos also heard drilling.
He then called for maintenance, he said. A maintenance man arrived on scene and as they checked on the door, Paddock started firing hundreds of rounds at both of them through his suite door.
This all happened [SIX] minutes before Paddock turned his attention to the crowd below.
IN HIS LATER STATEMENTS, CAMPOS CLAIMED HE ARRIVED FIRST, WAS SHOT, THEN MAINTENANCE ARRIVED AND HE YELLED TO HIM TO TAKE COVER.
MAINTENANCE STATES HE WAS SENT UP TO INVESTIGATE A DOOR PROBLEM BY HIS SUPERVISOR. BECAUSE OF ANOTHER "ALARM".
THAT IS A BIG CHANGE IN STATEMENTS AND 'INFORMATION'. WHOM DO WE BELIEVE? WHICH IS THE TRUTH?
Investigators originally said that Stephen Paddock checked in to Mandalay Bay on Sept. 28. They now say he checked in on Sept. 25. A full three days earlier."
BUT MGM SAYS THE POLICE TIMELINE IS STILL IN ERROR:
"In a statement released on Thursday [OCT. 12], however, MGM Resorts International said reports of a gap {between] those initial calls and hotel security’s response are based on an error in a “manually created” report that was compiled “without the benefit of information we now have.”
“We know that shots were being fired at the festival lot at the same time as, or within 40 seconds after, the time Jesus Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio,” the statement reads.
“Metro officers were together with armed Mandalay Bay security officers in the building when Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio. These Metro officers and armed Mandalay Bay security officers immediately responded to the 32nd floor.”
IS MANDALAY BAY COVERING THEIR OWN BACKSIDES IN CASE OF LAWSUITS, OR DID METRO LIE?
HOW CAN WE EVER KNOW FOR SURE?
Officers did not reach the 32nd floor until at least 18 minutes after Campos was shot in the thigh, according to the official timeline, and they appeared to have no idea he had been wounded at all before finding him."
Las Vegas police are expected to release new information about the case Friday after a week that has seen the timeline of the shooting shift almost daily, raising questions about whether authorities could have done more to stop the gunman before he killed 58 people."
WELL, RIGHT ON CUE, SHERIFF LOMBARDO CAME RIGHT BACK WITH YET ANOTHER "UPDATE" TODAY, OCT. 13:
"In the early throes of this tragedy, I had advised each and everyone of you that items of information were going to change," Sheriff Lombardo said.
He started the news conference with an update of the most recent number on people injured at the concert.
He said, 546 people were injured that night, 501 have been discharged from hospitals. Forty-five remain hospitalized, some of them in critical condition. The number of dead, 58, remains unchanged.
Lombardo also addressed the timeline of the minutes leading up to the mass shooting.
"Unfortunately, a great deal of my investigators' time has been spent on this timeline. In the public space, the word incompetence has come up and I'm absolutely offended by that characterization."
LOMBARDO HAS PREVIOUSLY STATED HE DIDN'T ASK FOR THE JOB OF UPDATING THE PRESS.
“I’m not comfortable with it. I didn’t ask for it, nor do I want it,” Lombardo said. “But I’m there, and hopefully I’m doing a good job.”
The national spotlight also brings intensified scrutiny. And a recent change to the timeline of events has directed pointed criticism at Lombardo and Metro.
Several former Las Vegas police sheriffs did not respond to requests for comment, and the most recent former sheriff, Doug Gillespie, said he has made it a point since retiring in 2014 to refrain from speaking about Las Vegas police matters.
BODIES STILL ON THE GROUND 36 HOURS AFTER SHOOTING.
WHY?
It wasn’t until Oct. 3, the Tuesday morning after the shooting [on Sunday], that Lombardo walked the grounds of the Route 91 Harvest festival. Even 36 hours later, grisly reminders of the carnage remained.
“There were still bodies,” Lombardo said.
FROM ABC NEWS: OCT. 13, 2017
Lombardo stands firmly behind the timeline he gave the press on the 9th.
Las Vegas authorities say they stand by their timeline of the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history, which has been disputed by the hotel where the gunman opened fire.
Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters Friday that Stephen Paddock rained down bullets on a concert crowd starting at 10:05 p.m. Oct. 1. He has said that six minutes earlier, Paddock sprayed 200 rounds from his Mandalay Bay room into the hallway, hitting a security guard in the leg.
That timeline released earlier this week differed from a week ago, when authorities said the guard was shot after Paddock opened fire on the crowd.
The changes led to questions about why police and hotel security weren't able to stop Paddock sooner.
Lombardo pushed back against criticism over the timeline, saying he was "absolutely offended" over any suggestion that authorities bungled the response.
Mandalay Bay officials have disputed whether six minutes actually passed between the first gunfire in the hallway and the start of the concert rampage.
Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters Friday that Stephen Paddock's autopsy found nothing unusual during a visual inspection, but his brain was shipped to a facility to look for any minute problems.
A BRAND NEW 'REVELATION':
Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters Friday that Stephen Paddock shot at the fuel tanks at McCarran International Airport near the Mandalay Bay hotel, where he opened fire onto a concert crowd below.
Lombardo says the airport is reviewing safety measures and has contacted experts in fuel storage but that there's a low probability aviation fuel could be ignited by gunfire.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse says investigators have found no signs that Paddock had ideologies or connections to any groups.
ALSO NEWLY ADDED:
-- "On at least two occasions, a bellman helped Paddock bring bags up to his 32nd floor room. After poring over surveillance footage, authorities have yet to spot any red flags about Paddock’s actions leading up to Oct. 1 that may have signaled his planned ambush...
-- PADDOCK DEFINITELY ONLY SPENT 2 DAYS IN THE ROOM FROM WHICH HE FIRED ON THE CROWD BELOW, HAVING MOVED INTO THAT ROOM FROM ANOTHER IN THE HOTEL ON SATURDAY.
THIS IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE FOR WHAT OFFICERS WHO BROKE INTO THE ROOM SAID LATER, THAT IT TOOK DAYS FOR HIM TO SET THINGS UP.
Paddock, a video poker player, checked in to Mandalay Bay on Sept. 25 — three days earlier than initially reported.
Lombardo said Paddock spent those first three days in a separate room, and the hotel provided that room free of charge for unknown reasons. Paddock spent the remaining days in the corner suite where he staged his attack, and he paid for the suite himself.
“We’ve learned that there’s a difference of comp days versus personal pay days,” Lombardo said. “We were going off the personal pay days.”
-- WE ALSO LEARNED THAT PADDOCK WAS VIDEOTAPED GAMBLING DURING THOSE LAST TWO DAYS, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN A BIG WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME IF HE NEEDED TO SET UP ALL THAT EQUIPMENT.
-- THERE WERE REPORTS THAT EITHER SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, PADDOCK'S CAR LEFT THE PARKING GARAGE, WAS GONE FOR QUITE SOME TIME, AND DURING THAT TIME, ONE OF HIS ROOM KEY CARDS WAS USED TO ENTER THAT ROOM.
-- HE HAD NO GAMBLING DEBTS.
Despite Mandalay Bay shooter Stephen Paddock’s history of high-stakes gambling, he had no known gambling debts, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Tuesday.
-- HE WAS NOT EXHIBITING MENTAL INSTABILITY
And, contrary to published reports, Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, told investigators in Los Angeles she had no concerns about his mental health.
In an extensive interview Tuesday with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Lombardo clarified those details and provided new information about the Oct. 1 shooting.
- HE DID NOT HIRE A PROSTITUTE.
Throughout his time in Las Vegas, Paddock did not interact with many people, the sheriff said, dispelling rumors the shooter had met with a prostitute for at least one night.
- HE LEFT LAS VEGAS SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE 5 DAYS HE WAS THERE.
Though Paddock checked in about a week [5 DAYS] before the shooting occurred, he did not remain in Las Vegas.
Authorities believe he traveled to Mesquite several times in the days leading up to Oct. 1.
- NO VALIUM PRESCRIPTION.
The Review-Journal reported last week that a Henderson doctor had prescribed Paddock an anti-anxiety drug in June, but the sheriff had no knowledge of relevant medical records for the shooter.
- HE PROBABLY USED A FREIGHT ELEVATOR AT LEAST TWICE.
"Law enforcement sources also tell CBS News that Paddock MAY have used a freight elevator at Mandalay Bay before the shooting.
"He could have very easily been thought to have been that conventioneer, news media -- anything of that sort," said Las Vegas security consultant Tommy Burns.
- POLICE EVACUATED ROOMS BEFORE BLOWING PADDOCK'S DOOR.
KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN YOU READ THE TRANSCRIPT FROM THE TODAY INTERVIEW OF THE 4 OFFICERS AND THE INTERVIEW OF THE MAN TWO DOORS DOWN FROM PADDOCK'S ROOM. "Police who responded evacuated rooms before entering Paddock’s suite, where he had killed himself."
THERE ARE MORE CHANGES THAN MEDIA CAN KEEP TRACK OF AND EVERY CHANGE SEEMS MORE FAR-FETCHED THAN THE ONES BEFORE.
IT READS LIKE A "MAKE IT UP AS YOU GO ALONG" BAD PIECE OF FICTION.
FACTS DON'T CHANGE, AND IF THERE ARE CHANGES, IT'S BECAUSE WHAT WE WERE INITIALLY TOLD WAS INCORRECT, ERRORS... OR MAYBE FACTS NEEDED TO BE CHANGED TO SAVE FACE, TO EITHER COVER UP ERRORS, BUNGLED POLICE INVESTIGATION, OR MAKE REAL FACTS LOOK LIKE ERRORS?
WHOEVER KEEPS REVISING THINGS IS LEAVING MORE HOLES IN PREVIOUS REPORTS THAN CAN BE FOUND IN A SIEVE.
LET'S FOCUS ON THE HOTEL SECURITY GUARD, JESUS CAMPOS, WHOM WE WERE FIRST TOLD WAS HIT BY A BULLET FRAGMENT IN THAT "HAIL OF GUNFIRE" AFTER THE SHOOTING BEGAN.
NO, NEXT THE GUARD SAID HE WAS SHOT BEFORE THE SHOOTER TOOK AIM AT THE CROWD BELOW, BUT WAIT...
THEN HE SAID HE WAS SHOT JUST AFTER THE GUNFIRE BEGAN, BUT WAIT...
NOW HE SAYS HE WAS SHOT AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME AS THE SHOOTING BEGAN, BUT WAIT...
SO, INITIALLY THIS GUARD SAYS HE WAS RESPONDING TO AN ALARM THAT NOTIFIED STAFF THAT A GUEST'S DOOR WAS AJAR, A ROOM OFF THE HALLWAY OF THE 32nd FLOOR.
IF, AS IN BIG IF, THAT'S THE CASE, IF HE WAS SENT UP TO THE 32nd FLOOR ABOUT AN ALARM, WHY IN HELL DIDN'T SECURITY STAFF KNOW WHERE HE WAS WHEN HE FIRST CALLED IN TO SAY HE'D BEEN SHOT ON THE 32nd FLOOR, WHY ALL THE CONFUSION FOR OVER 10 MINUTES AS TO WHERE THE SHOTS WERE COMING FROM?
BUT WAIT...
THAT'S NOT THE STORY OFFICERS TOLD 60 MINUTES.
"The gunman at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas who shot into a crowd of thousands did it from a room on the 32nd floor. He may have killed many more if not for a security guard who arrived on the floor within 12 minutes of the onset of the attack. Soon, a small group of Las Vegas police arrived.
They organized themselves into an ad-hoc SWAT team and began storming room 135.
"WITHIN 12 MINUTES OF THE ONSET?"
THE POLICE SAID CAMPOS WAS SHOT AT 9:59 PM.
THAT'S 6 MINUTES BEFORE THE CROWD WAS FIRED ON, SO SECURITY DIDN'T STOP ONE DAMNED THING.
HE SAT IN THAT HALLWAY DURING THE ENTIRE SHOOTING OF THE CROWD AND THAT SHOOTING LASTED FOR 10 MINUTES AND A FEW SECONDS.
THAT'S A TOTAL OF 16 MINUTES, THEN IT TOOK POLICE ANOTHER 12 MINUTES TO FIND THE SHOT GUARD AND THEY SAY THEY DIN'T KNOW CAMPOS WAS SHOT UNTIL THEY ARRIVED ON THAT FLOOR.
WE'RE NOW AT 28 MINUTES BEFORE POLICE ARRIVED, NOT 12.
AND NOW THE POLICE CAN'T SAY WHY THE GUNMAN STOPPED SHOOTING.
[SEE TRANSCRIPT OF THAT INTERVIEW BELOW.]
THE MANDALAY BAY SECURITY GUARD SAID THE FIRST SHOTS FIRED WERE THOSE THROUGH THE DOOR INTO THE HALL, SIX MINUTES BEFORE SHOOTING INTO THE CROWD BELOW. .
From 'shots fired' to all clear: 72 minutes of terror in Las Vegas--L.A. TIMES
THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE ARTICULATES VERY WELL THE ODDITIES AND FREQUENT CHANGES IN "THE FACTS", WHICH SHIFT EACH NEW DAY.
ONE WOULD DO WELL TO READ THIS ARTICLE MORE THAN ONCE.
OCT. 9, 2017, FROM THE L.A. TIMES:
"Police have dramatically changed their account of how the Las Vegas massacre began on Oct. 1, revealing Monday that the gunman shot a hotel security guard six minutes before opening fire on a country music concert — raising new questions about why police weren’t able to pinpoint the gunman’s location sooner.
Officials had previously said that gunman Stephen Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nev., shot Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Campos after Paddock had unleashed his deadly volley at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
They had credited Campos, who was shot in the leg, with stopping the 10-minute assault on the concert crowd by turning the gunman's attention to the hotel hallway...
NOPE.
PADDOCK FIRED ON THE CROWD AFTER HE SHOT CAMPOS.
"Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Monday that Paddock shot Campos before his mass shooting — at 9:59 p.m. — and they now didn't know why Paddock stopped his attack on the crowd."
ABC NEWS CONFIRMED THIS EARLIER SHOOTING OF THE GUARD.
Sheriff: Shooter shot guard before he fired on concert-goers | abc7ny
OCT. 4, 2017
"According to an official timeline of the shooting released by police Wednesday evening, Stephen Paddock started shooting at the crowd gathered for the Route 91 Music Festival at exactly 10:05pm Sunday night, citing closed-circuit television from the concert venue.
NOW, IF THE COPS WANT TO CLAIM THEY ARRIVED 12 MINUTES AFTER THE GUARD WAS SHOT AT 9:59, THEN THEY ARRIVED AT 10:11 PM, AND SAT OUT IN THE HALLWAY AND LISTENED TO HIM SHOOT FOR ANOTHER 4 MINUTES?
THE SHOOTING ENDED AT 10:15 PM, LASTED 10 MINUTES.
BUT BEFORE THEY ARRIVED INSIDE THE HOTEL, TWO OF THE 'FIRST RESPONDERS' SAID ON 60 MINUTES THAT SHOTS WERE BEING FIRED ONTO THE STREET AS THEY WERE ENTERING THE HOTEL.
“We still do not have a clear motive or reason why,” a frustrated Clark County Undersheriff Kevin McMahill said Friday. “We have looked at literally everything.”
McMahill said investigators had reviewed voluminous video from the casino and don’t think Paddock had an accomplice in the shooting, but they want to know if anyone knew about his plot beforehand.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEXT STATEMENTS:
In their effort to find any hint of his motive, investigators were looking into whether he was with a prostitute days before the shooting, were scrutinizing cruises he took and were trying to make sense of a cryptic note with numbers jotted on it found in his hotel room, a federal official said.
NOT ONE OFFICIAL, PUBLIC STATEMENT HAS BEEN MADE ABOUT ANY CRUISES, AND THE SHERIFF HAS STATED PADDOCK WAS NOT WITH ANY PROSTITUTE.
HOW WOULD POLICE KNOW THAT?
SECURITY CAMERAS IN EVERY HALL.
SO, WHERE IS THE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE SHOOTING DOWN THE HALLWAY AND THE FIRST RESPONDERS ENTERING THAT ROOM?
WHERE IS THE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF WHO CAME AND WENT FROM THAT ROOM?
WHY HAVEN'T THOSE VIDEOS BEEN MADE PUBLIC?
STILL ANALYZING THE NOTE WITH JUST NUMBERS ON IT.
"The New York Times reported that authorities are trying to analyze the note’s meaning, but Sheriff Joseph Lombardo didn’t elaborate on whether they are significant or not.
“Lombardo said that it contained numbers that were being analyzed for their relevance, and that it was not a manifesto or suicide note,” the Times reported.
The [UNNAMED] official said investigators were interviewing other call girls for information and looking into at least a dozen cruises Paddock took in the last few years, including one to the Middle East."
NO, THIS DID NOT COME FROM ANY OFFICIAL SPOKESPERSON BUT FROM A TWO-BIT, SHOT-IN-THE-DARK ARTICLE THAT CNN FIRST PUBLISHED.
CNN CLAIMED 'INSIDER INFORMATION" FROM ANOTHER "UNNAMED OFFICIAL", JUST LIKE THE ONES THAT WERE PROVEN TO BE FALSE BACK IN JUNE WHEN CNN RETRACTED A STORY AND FIRED 3 EXECUTIVES FOR MANUFACTURING NEWS.
THE NEW YORK TIMES AND WASHINGTON POST WERE AMONG MANY WHO SLAMMED CNN FOR "FAKE NEWS".
YEAH, ALL THAT CRAP IN THE LAST SENTENCE, THAT CAME FROM OLD "FAKE NEWS CNN's" REPORTS FROM THEIR NEW "UNNAMED SOURCE".
AS 'PROJECT VERITAS IN THEIR INVESTIGATIVE REPORT 'AMERICAN PRAVDA, CNN' SHOWED US IN JUNE, CNN's "UNNAMED SOURCES" ARE USUALLY JUST CNN MAKING 'NEWS' UP AS THEY GO ALONG.
SEE <THIS>, ONE OF THEIR UNDERCOVER VIDEOS WITH CNN EMPLOYEES <HERE>, AND THE THREE REPORTS THEY DID EXPOSING CNN <HERE>.
AND BE ADVISED, THEY HAVE NOW EXPOSED THE NEW YORK TIMES FOR THE SAME THING...CREATING FAKE NEWS TO DRIVE TRUMP OUT OF OFFICE.
[SEE <THIS> AND ALSO <THIS>.]
ANOTHER NEW FACT:
- PADDOCK DID NOT USE SOCIAL MEDIA AS INITIAL REPORTS STATED, AND THE FBI MADE THAT FACT CLEAR, AS TIME MAGAZINE REPORTED....
"Where other mass killers have left behind a trail of plain-sight clues that help investigators quickly understand what drove them to violence, Paddock, 64, had nearly no close friends, social media presence or other clear connections to the broader world.
Analyzing Paddock's computer, cellphone and other electronic devices, Investigators have found no obvious ideological motive, no clear connection to extremists or activist groups or outward display of mental illness.
"There's all kinds of things that surprise us in each one of these events. That's the one in this one, and we are not there yet," FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said. "We have a lot of work to do."
HIS BROTHER HAD ALREADY TOLD THE PRESS HE WASN'T INTO SOCIAL MEDIA, HAD NO FACEBOOK ACCOUNT.
A QUESTION SOME NEWS MEDIA ARE ASKING: WHY, WHEN POLICE SCANNER AUDIO SHOWS REPORTS OF THE CROWD BELOW BEING GUNNED DOWN, DID THE 'TEAM' UP ON THE 32nd FLOOR DECIDE TO RISK THE GUNMAN OPENING FIRE AGAIN AND TAKE TIME TO EVACUATE OTHER GUESTS AT THE HOTEL?
SHOULDN'T THE THOUSANDS BELOW HAVE TAKEN PRECEDENCE OVER THE DOZENS ON THE 32nd FLOOR?
IF THE GUNMAN KILLED ALMOST 60 IN UNDER 10 MINUTES, HOW MANY COULD HE HAVE KILLED IN AN HOUR?
ABC CALLED 75 MINUTES ON POLICE RESPONSE FROM START OF SHOOTING TO FINDING SHOOTER DEAD.
Sheriff Lombardo says Las Vegas police took 75 minutes to breach hotel door from the time the first shots were fired https://t.co/aiaPBRqDqO pic.twitter.com/398hcWcAwv
— ABC News (@ABC) October 5, 2017
WE WERE TOLD THAT, BEFORE POLICE BROKE INTO THE ROOM, THEY CLEARED THE OTHER ROOMS OFF THAT HALLWAY ON THE 32nd FLOOR.
WHOM DO WE BELIEVE?
AUDIO FROM POLICE SCANNERS THAT BACK UP THE OUTCRY THAT THE ROOM WAS NOT BREACHED FOR 72-75 MINUTES OR THIS LATEST SCENARIO?
WHERE DOES THE TRUTH LIE?
WHO KNOWS THE REALITY OF THE ENTIRE SITUATION?
AT FIRST, WE WERE TOLD ONLY THIS ONE GUARD WAS IN DANGER FROM THE SHOOTER OUT IN THAT HALLWAY, BUT THEN, WHEN QUESTIONS WERE RAISED BY SOME "CONSPIRACY THEORISTS" THAT THE GUARD HAD POSSIBLY BEEN INSIDE THAT ROOM, PERHAPS COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE SHOOTER, THE STORY CHANGED.
SUDDENLY, HE WASN'T ALONE, HE WAS JOINED BY OTHER STAFF.
THAT'S STRETCHING THINGS, BUT SO DOES THE DISCREPANCIES FOUND IN INTERVIEWS OF THE FIRST RESPONDERS AND THE SHERIFF.
REPORTED ON THE TODAY SHOW AND BY ABC NEWS:
FROM 60 MINUTES:
Stephen Paddock opened fire on a security guard, Jesus Campos, and a maintenance man, Stephen Schuck, down the hallway of the 32nd floor before he turned his attention to the concertgoers below.
Both men called their supervisors, but neither the police account of the ensuing moments nor publicly transmitted police radio traffic indicate when the hotel security office dialed 911.
Stephen Schuck was one of the first people to encounter Paddock when he went to check out a faulty fire exit door on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay and Casino on Oct. 1, according to a new timeline of events.
“I was about a third of the way down the hallway and I started to hear shots go off,” he told TODAY in an exclusive interview Wednesday.
Schuck then saw hotel security guard, Jesus Campos, stick out his head from a doorway.
“He yelled at me to take cover, and as soon as I started to go to a door to my left, the rounds started coming down the hallway," Shuck said. "I could feel them pass right behind my head. Something hit me in the back and I took cover."
[EDITOR'S NOTE, TODAY SHOW: An earlier version of the video within this story was headlined incorrectly, stating that the shooter warned Stephen Schuck of the danger. In fact it was hotel security guard Jesus Campos who warned him. The headline has been changed. TODAY regrets the error.]
According to the latest police timeline, Campos was shot about six minutes before the rampage began. Hotel officials released a statement saying that timeline “may not be accurate.”
Police say the current timeline will be revised again by Friday.
REVISED YET AGAIN?
WHAT KIND OF POLICE WORK IS THAT?
CONSTANT, DAILY 'REVISIONS'?
WHY CAN'T THEY JUST PICK A STORY AND STICK TO IT, MAYBE WHAT REALLY, AS IN ACTUALLY HAPPENED, THE UNCHANGEABLE FACTS.
HOW CAN FACTS BE CHANGED TO CREATE NEW FACTS?
THAT RENDERS THE "OLD" FACTS MERELY SUPPOSITION, AT BEST, AND LIES AT THE WORST.
New audio recordings made public by the hotel’s corporate owner, MGM Resorts, capture the chaotic moments when Schuck called dispatchers to report trouble.
“Call the police,” Schuck tells hotel security. “Someone’s fired a gun up here. Someone’s fired a rifle on the 32nd floor down the hallway.”
Officers did not reach the 32nd floor until at least 18 minutes after Campos was shot in the thigh, and they appeared to have no idea he had been wounded at all before finding him.
“They weren't aware of him being shot until they met him in the hallway after exiting the elevator,” said Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.
NOTICE HE SAYS "AFTER EXITING THE ELEVATOR"...ELEVATOR. REMEMBER THIS.
"We have a security officer also shot in the leg on the 32nd floor. He's standing right by the elevator," a Las Vegas Metro policeman radioed, in a recorded transmission 20 minutes after Campos was hit by Paddock's gunfire.
BACK TO THE ELEVATOR:
In part, the response time may have been slowed by a decision to shut down the elevators, a move by hotel management described by Schuck in an NBC News interview. Some police had to climb an unknown number of flights of stairs carrying weapons and body armor.
At 10:16 p.m., an officer radioed his dispatch to "contact Mandalay Bay and have 'em shut down their elevators so he [the gunman] can't get mobile and we can take the stairs and block all the stair exits."
One officer was later heard on police radio traffic breathing heavily and announcing he'd made it up to the same level the gunfire was erupting from. “I'm in a stairwell on the 32nd floor,” he says in a hushed voice.
HE COULD SPEAK IN A 'HUSHED VOICE' BECAUSE AT 10:15 p.m. THE SHOOTING JUST STOPPED AND NO MORE SHOTS WERE FIRED BY THE GUNMAN.
ALL WAS QUIET AT 10:16.
ONE OF THOSE SHOTS HAD TO BE WHEN THE GUNMAN WAS KILLED, WHETHER BY SUICIDE OR NOT.
[NOTE: This report has been updated to clarify that sources close to the Mandalay Bay hotel dispute the current official timeline and believe it will be revised...ABC NEWS]
FOR THE FIRST TIME, OUT OF THE BLUE, IT SEEMS THE GUARD SUDDENLY PRODUCED A WITNESS TO HIS WHEREABOUTS, ANOTHER HOTEL STAFF MEMBER, AN ENGINEER/MAINTENANCE PERSON WHOM HE SAYS HE CALLED OUT TO AND WARNED ABOUT THE SHOOTER (COULDN'T THE 2nd GUY SORT OF GUESS THERE WERE SHOTS BEING FIRED IF HE WAS RIGHT THERE?) AND THEREBY SAVED 2nd GUY FROM BEING KILLED WHEN OVER 200 ROUNDS WERE FIRED THROUGH THE DOOR OF THE SHOOTER'S ROOM.
OVER 200 ROUNDS STRAIGHT DOWN A NARROW HALLWAY AND THE GUARD WAS HIT ONCE AND THE OTHER GUY WASN'T HIT AT ALL? 200 ROUNDS, ONE HIT?
BUT WAIT...
THE SECURITY GUARD SAID ON ABOUT DAY 2 AFTER THE SHOOTING THAT HE WENT TOWARD THE SHOOTER'S ROOM BECAUSE HE HEARD DRILLING SOUNDS COMING FROM THAT ROOM.
DRILLING?
THAT'S WHAT HE SAID.
DRILLING.
NOT GUNFIRE, DRILLING.
SO, WHENEVER HE WAS SHOT, BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER, WAS IT GUNSHOTS OR DRILLING THAT DREW HIM TO INVESTIGATE?
GUNSHOTS DO NOT SOUND LIKE DRILLING, DO THEY?
NOPE.
TWO VERY DISTINCT SOUNDS, RIGHT?
IT WAS DRILLING, NO SHOTS HAD BEEN FIRED AT THAT TIME.
I HAVE A QUESTION: DID THAT MAINTENANCE GUY COME FROM THE DIRECTION OF THAT DRILLING?
THE 60 MINUTES INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT:
"Las Vegas police give disturbing account of storming Stephen Paddock's hotel room."
I FIND IT VERY ODD THAT THE ONE TRAINED S.W.A.T. TEAM MEMBER WHO WAS UP THERE WAS NOT PRESENT AT THIS INTERVIEW, NO ONE HAS INTERVIEWED HIM AND HE HAS NOT MADE ONE COMMENT AT ALL ABOUT HIS ROLE IN THE STORMING OF THAT ROOM.
Oct. 8, 2017
In a new episode of "60 Minutes," Detectives Casey Clarkson and Matthew Donaldson, Officers Joshua Bitsko and Dave Newton and SWAT team member Levi Hancock described the harrowing scene they encountered after storming Paddock's 32nd-floor Mandalay Bay hotel room on October 1.
Officer Bitsko told host Bill Whitaker that when they first arrived on the scene, conflicting reports had them believing the gunman was not acting alone.
"We're told that security is taking fire from a suspect on the 29th floor," he said. "And that we had other officers that were identifying the suspect was in a room on the 32nd floor.
So we're thinking multiple shooters at this point."
Eventually, the team was able to zero in on room 135 after a hotel-security guard named Jesus Campos reported that he saw about 200 rounds fired into the hallway from behind Paddock's door.
Although Paddock had barricaded the stairwell door "with a piece of metal and some screws," responders were able to use a "pry bar" to force the door open.
DID YOU CATCH THAT?
HE SAID THEY WERE IN THE STAIRWELL, NOT THE ELEVATOR.
Once they arrived on the 32nd floor, the makeshift SWAT team received a radio call advising them to watch out for booby traps.
"There's a room service cart with wires going on it underneath the door," Officer Newton said. "There was something black on top of the cart. So initially I'm, you know, I'm thinking, "This is a booby-trap. It's -- it's gonna explode."
"I could see the suspect's door was just riddled with bullet holes coming out," he added. "It looked like Swiss cheese."
To gain access to Paddock's room, the team used an explosive to blow the door down, which Newton says set off the hotel fire alarms, adding to the chaotic scene.
The team also encountered one downed white male who was bleeding from the face. He was later identified as shooter Stephen Paddock.
"I didn't see any apparent wounds to his head. But I did see a lotta blood that had come outta his mouth," said Officer Newton.
"There was-- a bloody revolver I think-- nearby. Nearby him that was on the ground consistent with him shootin' himself," added Officer Bitsko.
IN LEAKED PHOTOS OF THIS SCENE, A PISTOL CAN BE SEEN TWO TO THREE FEET FROM THE TOP OF THE HEAD OF THE CORPSE, AND BOTH ARMS ARE CLOSE AGAINST THE BODY.
THERE ARE LOOSE-FITTING GLOVES ON THE HANDS. THERE IS AN "ASSAULT RIFLE" PROPPED UP ABOVE AND ACROSS THE CORPSE'S LEFT ANKLE.
HIS RIGHT FOOT IS RESTING AGAINST AN END TABLE.
THERE IS BLOOD VISIBLE INSIDE THE MOUTH AND TWO POOLS OF BLOOD ABOUT THE HEAD, ONE STAIN NEAR HIS LEFT EAR IS VERY DARK AND ALMOST DRIED, THE OTHER, ISSUING FROM BENEATH HIS HEAD, IS STILL BRIGHT RED, MOIST AND PARTIALLY UNCLOTTED.
Along with an arsenal of weaponry and Paddock's body, the team also encountered a few phones, laptops, a couple of drills and a variety of other tools.
UNLIKELY 'FIRST RESPONDERS'.
Sergeant Joshua Bitsko and Officer Dave Newton of the K9-unit had been training dogs when they heard the call.
Joshua Bitsko: So we jump in our cars and hop on the freeway and we were there probably within five minutes.
Detective Matthew Donaldson was doing paperwork at headquarters. He sped nine miles to the Mandalay Bay. In the chaos, he had to run the last few blocks. His cowboy boots rubbed his feet raw.
Matthew Donaldson: I took my boots off. I just threw 'em in the casino. That was slowing me down. I was faster barefoot and I was gonna be more effective barefoot.
Bill Whitaker: How did you end up being first responders? Are you assigned to be first responders? Or you just got up and ran in-- into the danger zone and got there first?
Dave Newton: Correct. We heard it over the radio. We heard, you know, active shooter. Multiple victims.
Joshua Bitsko: We're told that security is taking fire from a suspect on the 29th floor. And that we had other officers that were identifying the suspect was in a room on the 32nd floor. So we're thinking multiple shooters at this point.
The three officers zeroed in on the 32nd floor just after a hotel-security guard named Jesus Campos encountered heavy fire--200 rounds shot into the hallway from behind Stephen Paddocks's door.
Officers Bitsko and Newton ran to the stairs. Detective Donaldson and a SWAT officer, Levi Hancock, did too. This ad-hoc group of officers didn't know what they would face, but they soon discovered Paddock had barricaded the stairwell door.
Joshua Bitsko: He had screwed shut the door-- with a piece of metal and some screws.
Matthew Donaldson: In the stairwell.
Joshua Bitsko: In the stairwell going out to the hallway right by his door.
Dave Newton: 'Cause he knew we'd be coming out that door to gain entry into his door. So he tried to barricade it as best he could. But thankfully Levi had-- a pry bar and was able to easily pop that door.
The K9 cops, the detective, and the SWAT officer were now a team.
Bill Whitaker: So essentially you became the SWAT team.
Dave Newton: Uh-huh (affirm)
Bill Whitaker: He had the advantage.
Dave Newton: Yeah, he-- 'cause he knew we were coming and we were gonna have to come through. We didn't know where he was gonna be in that room.
Joshua Bitsko: It's like a deadly game of hide and seek because when you're the one hiding you always know a person's looking for you it's-- before they see you. I remember thinkin', "Man, I wish I had my dog with me," because, you know, it's nice to have him lead a team.
Levi Hancock, the SWAT team member, was armed with explosive charges to blow through doors. Around 11 p.m. the team began to execute a plan.
They had heard no gunfire since reaching the hallway, and had no idea what or who was behind the door.
David Newton had a hand-held ballistic shield.
11 p.m., A FULL HOUR AFTER THE SHOOTING BEGAN, 50 MINUTES AFTER THE SHOOTING HAD CEASED.
ARE WE TO BELIEVE THAT, AFTER AN ENTIRE HOUR THE LVMPD COULD NOT GET A REAL S.W.A.T. TEAM UP THERE TO HANDLE THINGS.?
ARE WE TO BELIEVE THAT TWO K-9 COPS WHO HAD BEEN TRAINING DOGS BEFORE SHOTS WERE FIRED, A BAREFOOT DESK DETECTIVE, AND JUST ONE SWAT-TRAINED OFFICER, JUST 4 MEN, 3 WHO WERE NOT ARMED WITH "ASSAULT WEAPONS" OR RIOT GEAR WERE LEFT ALONE UP THERE TO DEAL WITH POSSIBLY MULTIPLE SHOOTERS?
THAT MAKES LESS THAN NO SENSE AT ALL.
Dave Newton: Now I'm standing out in front of this bullet-ridden door with nothing except for a shield that's, you know, I'm hoping would help a little bit. And-- that was the point I said-- I just start praying that nothing goes off of phone wise or radio or anything else 'cause we're trying to be as quiet as we can 'cause we didn't want him to know we were out there and start spraying at us. And I'm watchin' Levi put the charge on 'em. I'm like, "Hurry, hurry, hurry, but be quiet." And-- so then we got it hung and then we retreated back into the stairwell, blow the door.
Police radio: We need to pop this and see if we can get any type of response from this guy – to see if he is in here or if he's actually moved on somewhere else.
Dispatcher: All units on the 32nd floor SWAT has explosive breach. Everyone in the hallway needs to move back. All units need to move back.
Officer: Breach. Breach. Breach.
ALL UNITS?
ALL UNITS ON THE 32nd FLOOR?
THEN THERE WERE OTHERS THERE, SO WHY DID THEY ALLOW THESE 4 TO MAKE THE INITIAL ASSAULT ON THE ROOM?
Bill Whitaker: So you blow the door open. And what do you hear? Were there fire alarms going off?
Dave Newton: Yes, the fire alarms were going off--
Bill Whitaker: What else did you see?
Dave Newton: I saw a few phones-- laptops, a couple laptops he had in there. A lot of drills-- drill bits, all kinds of tools
Bill Whitaker: This was eerie.
Dave Newton: Very eerie. Yeah. The dust from the explosive breach. And then you have the flashing lights. And that looked straight-- like, out of a movie, you know? I did notice a note on the nightstand near his shooting platform. I could see on it he had written the distance, the elevation he was on, the drop of what his bullet was gonna be for the crowd. So he had had that written down and figured out so he would know where to shoot to hit his targets from there.
Bill Whitaker: What were the numbers? I am just trying to understand, were they calculations?
Dave Newton: Yeah, he had written we must have done the calculations online or something to figure out what his altitude was going to be and how high up he was-- how far out the crowd was going to be and what at that distance and what the drop of his bullet was going to be. He hadn't written out the calculations all he had was written out the final numbers that were on the sheet.
Bill Whitaker: Wow.
WOW INDEED!
WHEN HAD PADDOCK MEASURED ALL THOSE THINGS?
THAT WOULD TAKE SOME FAIRLY ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS, WOULDN'T IT?
HOW WOULD THIS K-9 OFFICER IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZE THOSE FIGURES AS ELEVATION OF THAT HOTEL ROOM, DISTANCE TO THE CONCERT GROUNDS?
HAD HE MEASURED OFF ALL THOSE DISTANCES, ELEVATION, ANGLES?
IF ALL THERE WAS ON THE SHEET WERE SOME NUMBERS, WHAT A GENIUS THIS K-9 OFFICER IS TO HAVE FIGURED OUT IN SECONDS WHAT THOSE NUMBERS WERE.
WHAT HE SAYS GOES AGAINST ALL REPORTS FROM SHERIFF LOMBARDO OVER THE COURSE OF 6 DAYS THAT STATED THE FBI AND THE LVMPD STILL HADN'T DECIPHERED THAT NOTE.
“Lombardo said that it contained numbers that were being analyzed for their relevance, and that it was not a manifesto or suicide note,” the Times reported.
DO MAKE NOTE THAT LOMBARDO HAD SAID JUST THE DAY BEFORE THIS INTERVIEW THAT THE NOTE WAS STILL BEING ANALYZED, SO WHAT THIS OFFICER SAID HAD TO HAVE BEEN PURE CONJECTURE ON HIS PART, OR ELSE HE WAS SPEAKING FROM KNOWLEDGE THE LVMPD HAS THAT THEY ARE NOT SHARING WITH THE PRESS.
Bill Whitaker: Did you go to the window? Did you look out?
Joshua Bitsko: No. Because I know that S.W.A.T. had deployed snipers also. So I didn't wanna put my silhouette in front of a window-- because communication was still horrendous at that point.
SWAT HAD DEPLOYED SNIPERS?
WHERE?
IF SWAT HAD SNIPERS DEPLOYED, WHY HADN'T SWAT DEPLOYED A REAL TEAM TO THAT HOTEL TO TAKE OVER INSTEAD OF THIS PIECEMEAL TEAM?
COMMUNICATION WAS HORRENDOUS?
THEN HOW DID HE KNOW ABOUT THE SNIPERS?
RADIOS WERE ON, WE CAN LISTEN TO OVER 60 MINUTES OF THE CHATTER.
IT'S A VERY CLEAR AUDIO.
WHAT WOULD MAKE COMMUNICATION "HORRENDOUS" WHEN THE SHOOTING HAD STOPPED?
HE ALREADY SAID THEY HAD CALLED "BREACH" AS THEY WERE GOING TO BLOW THE DOOR.
IF THEY KNEW THAT, WHAT PREVENTED THEM FROM TELLING SWAT SNIPERS THAT THE SHOOTER WAS DOWN AND THE SUITE WAS CLEARED?
Bill Whitaker: Detective Donaldson, you came in and went through to the other room.
Matthew Donaldson: Yeah.
Bill Whitaker: What did you see?
Matthew Donaldson: It was still very much in my brain there's 50 other dudes in here somewhere. You know, we were still clearing that room, the curtains, moving the curtains. I wanted to make sure somebody wasn't hiding between the windows and the curtains. It's a very small bedroom. Cleared the bathroom, cleared the shower. Came back out. They had to breach the other door on the other side.
WHAT 'OTHER' DOOR, WHAT OTHER SIDE?
And then -- once that scene was static it was -- it was essentially a crime scene. It was, like, stop what you're doing. Get out.
Bill Whitaker: It seems that he chose the tactically perfect and horrible spot for him to be able to rain down death on the people below him.
Dave Newton: Yeah, he did his homework.
Joshua Bitsko: Days of planning. Days of planning. He had tool boxes in power tools to run wires for his-- surveillance systems. For everything that he had, it took him days to finish.
DAYS?
IT TOOK HIM DAYS?
BUT TIME MAGAZINE REPORTED ON OCT. 5 THAT PADDOCK HAD NOT MOVED INTO THAT ROOM UNTIL SATURDAY, THE DAY BEFORE THE SHOOTING.
EVEN IF HE MOVED IN SATURDAY MORNING, THAT GAVE HIM MAYBE 36 HOURS IN THAT ROOM UNTIL 10:00 p.m. SUNDAY NIGHT.
HE HAD STAYED FREE OF CHARGE IN ANOTHER ROOM FOR 3 DAYS, THEN MOVED TO THE ROOM HE WAS FOUND DEAD IN ON SATURDAY. HE HAD PAID FOR THAT LAST ROOM, HAD APPARENTLY REQUESTED IT IN ADVANCE.
HE WAS AT THE HOTEL A TOTAL OF 5 DAYS.
THAT GAVE HIM 24-36 HOURS TO DO "DAYS" WORTH OF WORK INSIDE THAT NEW ROOM, ROOM 135.
THE MAN MUST HAVE BEEN A "SUPERMAN" TO DO ALL THAT ALONE AND WITHOUT BEING DISCOVERED IN JUST 24-36 HOURS.
Bill Whitaker: The sheriff was saying the other day that it -- it almost appeared as though he thought he would be able to get out of this, that he had an escape plan. Did you see any evidence of that?
Dave Newton: From what I saw, it -- I thought he was gonna -- he -- his plan might have been to shoot it out with us. Because there was a rifle on a bipod near the door and just the amount of ammunition and weapons he had. He could of held us off for hours.
THE INTERVIEW TURNS TO LOMBARDO.
Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo traveled to Mumbai, India, after the 2008 terrorist attacks that targeted numerous sites including hotels across the city. Hundreds were killed and wounded. Lombardo learned a key lesson: officers should immediately react to stop a shooter at any cost. His department has made that a pillar of its training ever since.
Bill Whitaker: Was this the scenario, the horror you had trained for?
Joseph Lombardo: Absolutely, cause that's how we train them And through all that experience and knowledge and training that we put together -- a team was immediately formed, acting on their own without supervisory direction -- Get a group of officers together as fast as you can. And immediately address the threat to cease the action.
BUT THEY DIDN'T...THEY WAITED AN HOUR BEFORE THEY BROKE INTO THAT ROOM.
No one knows when Paddock committed suicide, but the shooting stopped shortly after security guard Campos and the first of Sheriff Lombardo's officers arrived on the 32nd floor.
Bill Whitaker: Your guys got up there in, like, 12 minutes.
Joseph Lombardo: Twelve minutes. Twelve minutes. And--
Bill Whitaker: Up on the thirty-second floor--
Joseph Lombardo: You know, and during a critical incident, 12 minutes is a long time, you know? Could you imagine being in a fistfight for 12 minutes? It's a very long time. But when you step back and you evaluate it after the fact, it's a s-- very short period of time for th-- to get the intelligence, figure out what the hell is going on-- put a team together. Go up 32 floors and evaluate the situation. I think they prevented a thousand deaths. And I think it's important for the American public to understand that."
ON OCT.6, 2017,
Senior law enforcement officials told NBC News that they have made two discoveries in Paddock's 32nd-floor hotel room that they currently cannot explain.
The first is a cell phone charger that does not match any of the devices that belonged to the gunman.
The second is a hotel record showing that one of Paddock's key cards was used to access his room while his car was outside of the hotel's parking garage.
(POLICE NOW SAY THEY FOUND THAT PHONE.]
THE FOLLOWING ODDITY' WAS REPORTED BY MOST MAJOR NEWS MEDIA ON OCT. 6.
The hotel suite of Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock was accessed after his car left the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s garage area.
THE OFFICERS SPOKE OF THE SERVICE CART OUTSIDE PADDOCK'S DOOR AS DID OTHER NEWS REPORTS:
"To the right of the doors was a room service cart, covered with empty plates. Paddock set up another camera on the cart to watch the hall."
WHO PUT THE CART IN THE HALLWAY AND WHY WOULD IT BE LEFT THERE BY HOTEL STAFF?
A GUEST WHO WAS "A FEW DOORS DOWN" FROM ROOM 135 SAID IN AN INTERVIEW:
“I was actually watching the rest of the Sunday Night Football game and had gone to sleep,” he told WXIA-TV Atlanta. “Right around ten o’clock I woke up to the sounds of gunshots. Initially, I had kinda thought that it may have been some fireworks…and then it just kept going and going and going.”
After calling down to the desk, Morgan said hotel staff instructed him to barricade himself inside his room — explaining that they were aware of a “situation” on his floor and to remain calm.
“I could hear the police making their way up the hallway and they were basically breaking down the doors — opening the doors aggressively,” Morgan recounted. “Six or seven SWAT guys came in and just made sure that I wasn’t a bad person – that I was doing what I was supposed to be doing.
They ushered us out and told us to run as far and as fast as we could to get away.”
WAIT RIGHT THERE!
THERE IS AN ACTIVE SHOOTER INSIDE THE BUILDING BUT THEY ARE ADVISED BY POLICE TO RUN FROM THE BUILDING?
COULDN'T THAT GET THEM SHOT BY POLICE OUTSIDE EXPECTING A GUNMAN TO RUN FROM THAT BUILDING?
Once down on the ground, Morgan — who is from the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville — said he saw an “astronomical number” of police officers, but nobody offered details about what happened.
HERE ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE RUNNING OUT OF A BUILDING WHERE A KNOWN SHOOTER WAS AND THEY AREN'T PUT ON THE GROUND IN HANDCUFFS WHILE BEING FRISKED FOR WEAPONS?
THEN THERE WERE THE MANY REPORTS FROM THOSE WHO WERE TRYING TO ESCAPE THE CONCERT THAT ALL EXITS WERE BLOCKED, AND ONE COUPLE EVEN STATED THAT SOMEONE FROM LVMPD BLOCKED THEIR EXIT AND TOLD THEM TO GO BACK.
WHY WOULD THAT HAPPEN?
WHY WOULD AN OFFICER SEND THEM BACK TO A 'KILLING FIELD'?
WAS THAT REALLY A POLICE OFFICER OR AN ACCOMPLICE?
THERE ARE TOO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, TOO MANY SAYING THERE WAS A LOT OF WRONG MOVES BY LVMPD.
ONE DOESN'T HAVE TO REALLY LOOK HARD AT ALL TO SEE ALL THE HOLES, ALL THE DISCREPANCIES, ALL THE LOOSE ENDS, AND IT'S BEEN 12 DAYS NOW, BUT 12 DAYS OF CHANGED STORIES, NEW ADDITIONS, LIKE THE MAINTENANCE MAN, WHO HAD NEVER BEEN MENTIONED THAT FIRST WEEK. SOMEONE SEEMS TO BE IGNORING A LOT OF "CLUES", FROM PEOPLE WHO WERE ON THE GROUND, ON THAT SAME FLOOR, ON THE POLICE FORCE, ALL WHO STATED THERE WERE MULTIPLE SHOOTERS.
WHY IGNORE SO MANY SAYING THE SAME THING?
AS I WROTE IN MY PREVIOUS BLOG ABOUT THIS, EVEN LOMBARDO STATED PUBLICLY THAT HE DID NOT SEE HOW PADDOCK COULD HAVE ACTED COMPLETELY ALONE.
THEN WHY NOT START FROM THERE?
THE FBI HAS ALSO DROPPED THE BALL.
MANY ARE POINTING TO THEIR INEPTITUDE AS WELL AND CRITICIZING THE FBI HEAD, ROUSE, FOR HIS HANDLING OF THE WHOLE AFFAIR.
IS THE FBI DRAGGING ITS FEET TO COVER UP SOMETHING THEY DID OR DIDN'T DO IN VEGAS?
NOTHING ADDS UP.

'POSTSCRIPTS':
AS I MENTIONED, FAKE NEWS CENTRAL, CNN reported that in addition to his frequent forays into casinos and gun shops, Paddock took 20 cruises, many of them in Europe and the Middle East. In addition to stops at ports in Spain, Italy, Greece, the cruises also stopped in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, according to information provided by a law enforcement source.
CNN noted the source was unable to provide “cruise line involved, the type of cruises, when they occurred or the couple’s reason for travel.”
IT'S BEEN 7 DAYS SINCE THAT CRAP WAS "REPORTED" AND MAJOR MEDIA HAVE CEASED REPORTING IT, ALL BUT CNN.
