UFOs AS DECLASSIFIED FACT, PART 3 ON UFOs

^^The above photo of a black triangle with lights underneath was taken in Petit-Rechain, Belgium, in 1990.

Belgian Maj. Gen. Wilfried De Brouwer reported on the wave of sightings in Belgium in 1989-1990.
The series of sightings occurred in a more than two year "wave" over Belgium, beginning in late 1989. Thousands of people including numerous police officers observed silent gliding or hovering objects, usually triangular, which were investigated by university scientists and government officials. The objects sometimes accelerated at extremely high speeds. They left imprints on film, and although virtually impossible to detect on radar, the Air Force launched Air Force F-16's in anxious pursuit. This picture was taken on April 4, 1990 in Petit-Rechain, while the photographer stood underneath the craft, and captured four lights on its underside as it banked to the left. Copyright: 2010, SOFAM/Belgium.

^^Taken by farmer Paul Trent with his wife in 1950, the classic photo above, from McMinnville, Oregon, is among the most thoroughly analyzed images in UFO history.

WHAT I INCLUDE IN THIS LENGTHY  'PART 3' ARE DECLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS AND LINKS TO SAME FROM 4 DIFFERENT NATIONS; WELL-EXAMINED PHOTOS THAT SEEM TO SHOW REAL OBJECTS; QUOTES FROM 'PEOPLE IN HIGH PLACES' WHO BELIEVE(D) UFOs ARE NOT FROM EARTH; AND TWO STUDIES I'VE DONE FOR OVER 50 YEARS, ONE ON THE BLACK KNIGHT SATELLITE AND THE OTHER ON THE DISCREPANCIES OF THE ROSWELL INCIDENT.

WHEN WE LOOK AT THE QUOTES BELOW FROM HEADS OF STATE, HIGH-RANKING MILITARY, SCIENTISTS, PILOTS, AND THEN SEE THE DECLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS REGARDING UFOs, WHO CAN CONTINUE TO DENY THAT "SOMETHING IS OUT THERE"?

"What does all this stuff about flying saucers amount to? What can it mean? What is the truth?" --Sir Winston Churchill.

[SEE ARCHIVED ENTRY WITH THIS QUOTE AT THE WINSTON CHURCHILL dot ORG WEBSITE.]

"Churchill was shown a report by Sir Henry Tizard, one of his most trusted scientific advisers during World War II and a key figure behind the development of radar. Tizard saw no threat from UFOs."

PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL, U.S. SENATOR AND EX-MILITARY MAN, BARRY GOLDWATER WASN'T BUYING IT THAT NO EVIDENCE EXISTED OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL THREAT.
“This thing has gotten so highly-classified…it is just impossible to get anything on it. I have no idea who controls the flow of need-to-know because, frankly, I was told in such an emphatic way that it was none of my business that I’ve never tried to make it to be my business since. I have been interested in this subject for a long time and I do know that whatever the Air Force has on the subject is going to remain highly classified” –Senator Barry Goldwater, Chairman of the Senate intelligence committee.

ON THE ROSWELL CRASH:
Goldwater was told that physical evidence existed in the "Blue Room" at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. While visiting the base, he asked General Curtis LeMay if he could go inside the room. Goldwater stated that LeMay said, "Hell no, you can't go. I can't go, and don't ask me again."

"It is true that I was denied access to a facility at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, because I never got in. I can't tell you what was inside We both knew the rumors concerning a captured UFO and crew members. I have never seen what I would call a UFO, but I have intelligent friends who have." --Barry Goldwater, from a letter dated April 1979.

Goldwater, once a brigadier general in the U.S. Air Force, also stated: "I recall the case in Franklin, Kentucky when four military planes investigated a UFO. One of them exploded in midair and no one knows why."

In an interview on the Larry King show, Goldwater stated, "I certainly believe in aliens in space. They may not look like us, but I have very strong feelings that they have advanced beyond our mental capabilities. I think some highly secret government UFO investigations are going on that we don't know about-and probably never will unless the Air Force discloses them."

REAGAN
“You know, there aren’t six people in this room who know how true this really is.”
–President Ronald Reagan, in a conversation with Steven Spielberg at the White House on June 27, 1982 during a Presidential screening of 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial'.

In 1974, before Ronald Reagan became President (in 1981), he and others were flying in a plane when they saw a “big light” flying alongside the plane until it sped off and disappeared. Reagan was quoted as saying, “We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light. We followed it to Bakersfield and all of a sudden, to our utter amazement, it went straight up into the heavens.”

REAGAN'S FAMOUS SPEECH TO THE U.N., WHEREIN HE MENTIONED THE POSSIBILITY OF AN EXTRATERRESTRIAL ALIEN INVASION BEING SOMETHING THAT MIGHT UNITE THE NATIONS OF EARTH, RAISED EYEBROWS ALL OVER THE GLOBE.
"WHAT DOES HE KNOW THAT WE DON'T?"- SOME COMMENTATORS AND REPORTERS ASKED.

U.S. President Jimmy Carter promised while on the campaign trail that, if elected, he would make public all documents on UFOs. He said: "I don't laugh at people any more when they say they've seen UFOs. I've seen one myself."

Jimmy Carter, in Georgia in 1969, along with 25 other men, saw a light in the western sky coming toward them. As it came closer, he could see the lights above the pine trees changing colors from blue to red to white. It remained for a while and then sped away to the west. When he became President in 1977, he asked NASA to investigate UFOs. NASA declined.

RUSSIA's GORBACHEV:
“The phenomenon of UFOs does exist, and it must be treated seriously.”
–Mikhail Gorbachev, general secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1985 to 1991 and president of the Soviet Union in 1990–91 at a 'Soviet Youth' speech, May 4, 1990.

-- Thomas Jefferson reported a "UFO" event in 1800 while he was Vice President of the United States. He was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana when the 'sighting' allegedly occurred.

On page 25 of the sixth volume of Transactions of the American Philosophical Society, which Jefferson was president of, the story William Dunbar shared with Jefferson about what he and others saw in Baton Rouge is faithfully retold, under the title “Description of a singular Phenomenon seen at Baton Rouge, by William Dunbar, Esq. communicated by Thomas Jefferson, President A. P. S.”

“It appeared to be of the size of a large house, 70 or 80 feet long and of a form nearly resembling Fig. 5 in Plate IV.

“It appeared to be about 200 yards above the surface of the earth, wholly luminous, but not emitting sparks; of a colour resembling the sun near the horizon in a cold frosty evening, which may be called a crimson red."

--NOT A HEAD OF STATE, BUT... J Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI from its inception in 1935 to 1972, said of a famous incident when flying saucers were allegedly fired at over Los Angeles in 1942: "We must insist upon full access to disks recovered. For instance, in the LA case the Army grabbed it and would not let us have it for cursory examination."

HIGH-RANKING MILITARY

"The conclusion appears inescapable that some type of flying object has been sighted. Identification and the origin of these objects is not discernible at this Headquarters."
– Major General G.P. Cabell, Director of Intelligence, U.S. Air Force, November 3, 1948.

-- French Air Force Maj. Gen. Denis Letty initiated an extensive study of UFO data because competent pilots he knew personally were confronted by the phenomenon.

-- Chilean General Ricardo Bermudez was instrumental in the founding of his country‘s official UFO investigative agency in 1997 because of inexplicable sightings involving pilots he knew personally.

-- Brig. Gen. Jose Periera of Brazil,
commander of air force operations until 2005, reports on an "array of UFOs" observed over his country in 1986. Two pilots chased one of the objects for 30 minutes. Numerous other pilots saw the objects. Radar recorded them. Six jets were scrambled from two Brazilian air force bases to pursue them. Some of the pilots made visual contact corresponding to radar registrations. Both military and commercial pilots were involved. Onboard as well as ground radar systems confirmed the presence of the objects.

--
Brigadier General Arthur E. Exon, cousin of Senator Exon, former commanding officer of Wright-Patterson AFB, told researchers Kevin D. Randle and Donald R. Schmitt that a spacecraft HAD crashed, alien bodies WERE recovered, and the event was covered up by the U.S. government.
Exon further claimed he was aware of a very secretive UFO controlling committee made up primarily of very high-ranking military officers and intelligence people. His nickname for this group was "The Unholy Thirteen" (See also, Majestic 12).
Exon later denied saying everything the two authors said he did.

-- General Nathan Twining, Chairman, Joint chiefs of staff, 1955-1958"The UFO phenomenon being reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious"

--
General Douglas MacArthur, American General and Field Marshall who play a prominent role in the Pacific in WWII. In 1955, MacArthur said that “the next war will be an interplanetary war.” He added that nations of the world will have to join forces someday to fight attacks from “people from other planets.”

--Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding, commander of RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain: "I am convinced that these objects do exist and that they are not manufactured by any nations on earth."

AS I WROTE IN A PREVIOUS BLOG, ABOUT 27 NASA ASTRONAUTS HAVE EXPRESSED EITHER SEEING "UFOs" OR BELIEF THAT THEY EXIST.
EDGAR MITCHELL MAY HAVE BEEN THE MOST OUTSPOKEN OF THEM ALL. HE OFTEN EXPRESSED HIS BELIEF THAT ROSWELL WAS A COVER-UP.
BUT OTHERS HAVE DARED "GO PUBLIC".

-- REAR ADMIRAL ROSCOE H. HILLENKOETTER:
Perhaps Hillenkoetter's best-known statement on the subject of UFOs was in 1960 in a letter to Congressas reported in The New York Times

"Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense."

Hillenkoetter was the third director of the post–World War II United States Central Intelligence Group, the third Director of Central Intelligence, and the first director of the Central Intelligence Agency created by the National Security Act of 1947.

The 'National Investigations Committee On Aerial Phenomena' was formed in 1956.
Hillenkoetter was on NICAP's board of governors from about 1957 until 1962.

He vehemently wanted public disclosure of UFO evidence.

WHO ELSE WAS INVOLVED WITH THAT GROUP?
SEE A VERY IMPRESSIVE ARCHIVED LIST, <HERE>.

WE FIND MANY HIGH-RANKING EX-MILITARY MEN, SEVERAL SCIENTISTS, THE MAN WHO PROCESSED THE PHOTOS FOR PROJECT BLUE BOOK AT THE PHOTO LAB AT WRIGHT AIR DEVELOPMENT CENTER (THERE ARE FAR MORE INTERESTING LINKS ABOUT WADC, BUT THIS ONE FROM WALL STREET JOURNAL WILL SUFFICE), A MAN WHO WORKED AT LOS ALAMOS LAB, ANOTHER SCIENTIST WHO WORKED AT THE OLD BROOKHAVEN LAB AT MONTAUK AIR BASE ON LONG ISLAND (AND WHOSE "MONTAUK PROJECT" GARNERED A FEW MAINSTREAM MEDIA ARTICLES OVER TIME LIKE THIS ONE FROM HUFFINGTON POST IN 2012), AND MEN WHO SAT ON THE CIA/ROBERTSON PANEL IN 1953.

-- ANOTHER MAN LINKED TO THE GROUP WAS PRESS CHIEF FOR THE AIR FORCE FOR 10 YEARS, ALBERT M. CHOP.

As Press Chief for the U.S. Air Force in 1952, Albert M. Chop was a direct participant in the famous July 1952 radar-visual UFO sightings around Washington, D.C.

Chop attended the University of Dayton for two years, and was a newsman for the Dayton Daily News and the Associated Press from 1937-1943. During World War II he served as a combat correspondent with the U.S. Marine Corps (which might account for his cooperative relationship with Maj. Donald E. Keyhoe, USMC Ret.)

After several years in public relations and advertising copywriting, Chop became Press Chief for the Air Materiel Command in Dayton, Ohio, in 1951.

He was transferred to the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. in 1952 where he served as Press Chief and was public spokesman for the Air Force UFO project.
From 1953 to 1962 he was a public relations representative for Douglas Aircraft Company.

He then became Deputy of Public Affairs for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from 1962 until 1975.
For two years after that he was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission in a management position.

IN SHORT, CHOP WAS NOT KNOWN TO WEAR TINFOIL HATS.

Chop was later involved in providing information and writing for the 1956 Greene-Rouse Productions documentary film UFO, which included the 1950 Montana film taken by Nick Mariana and the 1952 Utah film by Delbert C. Newhouse.

[NOTE: PROJECT BLUE BOOK TOOK NEWHOUSE'S FILM FOR 'REVIEW' BUT NEWHOUSE CLAIMED THAT THE FILM HE GOT BACK WAS 20 FEET SHORT AND ALTERED, WITH A SEGMENT ON THREADING A SEWING MACHINE ADDED AT THE END.
THAT ALLEGEDLY ALTERED 16MM FILM CAN BE SEEN <HERE>.]

The 1956 documentary also recreated the 1952 Washington, DC sightings and other important cases, providing new, inside information to the public.

Chop gave an oral history to the 'Sign Historical Group' in November,1999 in which he talks about his relationship with Donald Keyhoe, whose dedicated and persistent interest resulted in his obtaining the good information that he did on Air Force cases.

He (Chop) also described being present at Washington National Airport on the night in July 1952 watching on radar and hearing the communications when an Air Force F-94 pilot reported being surrounded by UFOs. (This incident is reconstructed in the movie UFO.) He quotes the pilot as saying, "They're closing in on me! What shall I do?"

Chop: "There was dead silence in the radar room; no one knew what to say. I don't mind telling you this, it scared me! It was frightening! And I think everybody in the room was very apprehensive. They had to be intelligently controlled."
His experience that night convinced him that UFOs probably were from another planet.

SCIENTISTS, PILOTS AND AIRCRAFT DESIGNERS

STEPHEN HAWKING...Since at least 2010, Hawking was outspoken publicly about his fears that an advanced alien civilization would have no problem wiping out the human race the way a human might wipe out a colony of ants.
Newsweek said of Hawking's take on 'aliens',
"Hawking took a conflicted position on alien life, at once promoting the search for extraterrestrial life and warning about the potential dangers of first contact with an alien species. His position on extraterrestrial life advocates two approaches: collecting intel and keeping as quiet as possible."

“We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects, and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.” Ben Rich, former senior engineer for Lockheed Martin and former Director of Lockheed’s advanced aerospace technology division 'Skunk Works'.

THE NEXT TWO INCIDENTS REPORTED BY MILITARY PILOTS COME FROM THE 2017 RELEASE OF THE UFO DOCUMENTS FROM THE U.K.:

The first document is a telex, dated 20 October 1982, from 280 SU to MODUK AIR, Info AHQ Cyprus. It reports an incident which occurred at 1605z on 19 October 1982, which lasted approximately 90 minutes.

-- On October 19, 1982, during a mission over the eastern Mediterranean Sea to monitor the activity of Soviet aircraft in the region, the crew of a USAF RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft, assigned the call-sign "Beano 73", reported the sighting of a large UFO. The unknown craft was picked up on both the spy plane’s radar, and on the scopes of the RAF’s Troödos radar station in Cyprus.
Beano 73’s crew described the UFO as being covered in "a multitude of flashing lights 20 at a time". The UFO began to circle the jet and the navigator called for assistance.

Three fighters were then scrambled to intercept the UFO: two US Navy F-14 fighters from a nearby aircraft carrier, and a RAF Phantom fighter which was diverted from an exercise flight to assist Beano 73.
As the three fighters approached the scene, the UFO veered south, toward the African coast, and the fighter crews didn't spot the craft.

The object's movement was described as 'Object tailed Beano 73 for 90 mins on its northeast/southwest race track between positions QJED2020 and QJDC4000.'

Other information recorded on the telex was 'Reported by crew of Beano 73. Reliable. Witnessed by whole crew, three fighters intercepted Beano 73 and report an object departing to the south but nothing seen visually.'

Recordings of the radio transmissions between Beano 73 and ground controllers were scrutinized in a joint UK/US investigation into the incident, along with radar track recordings from Troödos, but no copies of these recordings were included in the publicly-available files, and their whereabouts were not revealed.

WHY?
TOO MUCH INFORMATION?

The other incident, October 5, 1996, involved both visual and possible radar sighting of an object over Skegness, Lincolnshire, UK.
The unidentified object’s presence was first brought to the RAF’s attention at 2:00 AM in a fax from the Yarmouth coast guard:

"[Police] can see a strange red and green rotating light in the sky southeast from Skegness. Looks to be high in the sky directly over The Wash. Many people here are observing it…looks strange as it’s stationary. No [aircraft] sound in the area…"

The air defense radar station at RAF Neatishead was asked to help identify the UFO.

Neatishead had discovered a stationary blip that was not broadcasting a transponder signal but was hovering over the town of Boston in Lincolnshire, corresponding to the location of visual sightings from the ground.

We're told that the radar blip turned out to be a permanent echo caused by the 273-foot spire of St Botolph’s church in Boston known locally as "The Boston Stump" — it just happened to be in the same town over which the lights were spotted. But that left the mysterious mass-sighting of the lights themselves, seen not only by area police, but also by a tanker crew refueling ships in the North Sea, including a video of one of the lights recorded by police.

Although the lights were explained away as simply being the planet Venus and the star Sirius by authorities the next day, one irate East Anglian resident wrote to his local newspaper, likening the explanation for the incident to the pat explanation given for the lights witnessed during 1980’s Rendalsham Forest incident (15 YEARS EARLIER) as the Orfordness lighthouse:

“It seems that ‘The Stump’ is not on dry land after all. In fact, it is situated somewhere in the North Sea, or The Wash, or the North Norfolk coast, or at Yarmouth, or even floating in the sky miraculously above the A47 in Norfolk.”

-- Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a Vatican theologian, said: "Extraterrestrial contact is a real phenomenon. The Vatican is receiving much information about extraterrestrials and their contacts with humans from its embassies in various countries, such as Mexico, Chile and Venezuela."

FORMER NASA CHIEF OF 'SPACE HUMAN FACTORS' OFFICE:
FROM NBC NEWS:
9 Sept. 2010
"Richard Haines, who has written more than 70 papers in leading scientific journals and published more than 25 U.S. government reports for NASA, was formerly chief of the space agency's Space Human Factors Office and served for 21 years as a retired senior aerospace scientist at NASA's Ames Research Center. Having studied pilot sightings and related aviation safety issues for more than 30 years, and having personally interviewed hundreds of pilots during that time, Haines has concluded that pilots are indeed excellent witnesses, given their thorough training, expertise and hours of flying time.

Haines is now chief scientist for the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena. Sadly, most pilots never report their sightings, as he points out in "UFOs."

The aerial cases documented in "UFOs" — and many more on the record elsewhere — involve multiple factors such as:

--Sightings of long duration, allowing for accurate voice transmissions and the refinement of the initial identification.

--Multiple witnesses — co-pilot, crew, passengers, other aircraft in different locations, and occasionally observers from the ground.

--Onboard radar and ground radar recording the presence of a physical object, often corresponding exactly to the visual sighting.

--Direct physical effects on the aircraft, such as equipment malfunction.

As example{s}:

--In 2007, airline captain Ray Bowyer saw two gigantic, bright yellow objects suspended over the English Channel, which he observed carefully for 15 minutes. His passengers saw them, another pilot on a second aircraft was also a witness, and an object was registered on radar.

--In 1986, three Japan Airlines pilots watched a series of UFOs for 30 minutes, communicating with air traffic control while radar operators picked up the objects in corresponding locations.

-- ON FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 2004, a Mexican Air Force flight crew filmed 11 unidentified flying objects in the skies over southern Campeche state, but the public was not notified of the sightings until Mexico's Defense Department issued a statement on May 12. A press release was accompanied by a videotape that showed some bright objects resembling sharp points of light moving rapidly in what appeared to be a late-evening sky. The lights were actually heat sources filmed by the flight crew using infrared equipment during a surveillance mission in search of drug-smuggling planes. They were reportedly flying at an altitude of about 11,500 feet.

BELIEF BUT NO PANIC
A 2012 poll discovered that 36% of Americans think that aliens have visited Earth, and almost 80% believe the government is keeping UFO secrets.

Thirty-six percent are convinced and, "Look, Ma, NO panic."

So what's the REAL reason we don't see 'full disclosure' now?

"Ministry of Defence failed to reveal any information amounting to the proverbial "smoking gun" evidence that we've been invaded, but the files did contain two very 'provocative' reports of a UFO encounter involving RAF and USAF aircraft crews over the Mediterranean, and a multiple-witness sighting involving local police in eastern England."

1969, THE CONDON REPORT
Sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena increased, and in 1948 the U.S. Air Force began an investigation of these reports called Project Sign.

"In the summer of 1947, the 'Air Materiel Command' (AMC) was asked to study the situation and make recommendations about what should be done. On September 23, Lt. Gen. Nathan F. Twining, the AMC head, wrote his superior with this analysis:
"The phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious."

Three months later the Air Force established Project Sign under AMC command, which is headquartered at Wright Field, soon renamed Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Dayton, Ohio, to investigate UFO reports.

The Central Intelligence Agency began to prompt the U.S. government to establish an expert panel of scientists to investigate the UFO phenomena in 1952.

A panel was formed, headed by H.P. Robertson, a physicist at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California, and included other physicists, an astronomer, and a rocket engineer.
The Robertson Panel met for three days in 1953 and interviewed military officers and the head of Project Blue Book. They also reviewed films and photographs of UFOs.

Their conclusions were that
(1) 90 percent of the sightings could be easily attributed to astronomical and meteorologic phenomena (e.g., bright planets and stars, meteors, auroras, ion clouds) or to such earthly objects as aircraft, balloons, birds, and searchlights,

(2) there was no obvious security threat, and

(3) there was no evidence to support the EXTRATERRESTRIAL ORIGINS HYPOTHESIS.
(Also known as "ETH")

Parts of the panel’s report were kept classified until 1979, and this long period of secrecy helped fuel suspicions of a government cover-up.

BUT IT DIDN'T END THERE.

A second committee was set up in 1966, again at the request of the Air Force, to review the most interesting material gathered by Project Blue Book.

Two years later this committee, which made a detailed study of 59 UFO sightings, released its results as Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects—also known as the Condon Report, named for Edward U. Condon, the physicist who headed the investigation. The Condon Report was reviewed by a special committee of the National Academy of Sciences.

A total of 37 scientists wrote chapters or parts of chapters for the report, which covered investigations of the 59 UFO sightings in detail. Like the Robertson Panel, the committee concluded that there was no evidence of anything other than commonplace phenomena in the reports and that UFOs did not warrant further investigation.
This, together with a decline in sighting activity, led to the dismantling of Project Blue Book in 1969.

Aside from the American efforts, the only other official and fairly complete records of UFO sightings were kept in Canada, where they were transferred in 1968 from the Canadian Department of National Defense to the Canadian National Research Council.

The Canadian records comprised about 750 sightings.

Less-complete records have been maintained in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, and Greece.

In the United States, CUFOS and the Mutual UFO Network in Bellvue, Colorado, continue to log sightings reported by the public.

CANADIAN DOCUMENTS

"Wilbert Smith was a Canadian radio engineer of high standing within the Canadian government during the 1950s and a high-level UFO researcher. In fact it could be said he was in charge of Canadian UFO studies between 1950 and 1962.

Smith's personal and related Canadian government UFO documents are among the most important ever found, since they state unambiguously that flying saucers were quite real and they were being secretly studied by both the U.S. and Canadian governments.

Dr. Robert Sarbacher was an electrical engineer and guided missile scientist with an impressive background, but most importantly, he was then a consultant to the U.S. Research and Development Board (RDB).

In the interview on September 15, 1950, Sarbacher told Bremner/Smith that flying saucers existed, they didn't originate on Earth, and the subject was the most highly classified in the U.S. government, at a level higher than the H-bomb."

ODD THING ABOUT THE CANADIAN RELEASES...THEY ALSO MENTION A GROUP OF 12 MEN WHO ARE OVERSEEING THE AMERICAN UFO INVESTIGATIONS, THAT
'MJ-12', aka, 'MAJESTIC 12' OR 'MAJIK-12'.

The named members of MJ-12 in Canadian releases were:

1. Rear Adm. Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter: first CIA director.

2. Dr. Vannevar Bush: chaired wartime Office of Scientific Research and Development and predecessor National Defense Research Committee; set up and chaired postwar Joint Research and Development Board (JRDB) and then the Research and Development Board (RDB); chaired NACA; President of Carnegie Institute, Washington D.C.

3. James Forrestal: Secretary of the Navy; first Secretary of Defense (replaced after his death on MJ-12 by Gen. Walter Bedell Smith, 2nd CIA director).

4. Gen. Nathan Twining: headed Air Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson AFB; Air Force Chief of Staff (1953–1957); Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff (1957–1961).

5. Gen. Hoyt Vandenberg: Directed Central Intelligence Group (1946–1947); Air Force Chief of Staff (1948–1953).

6. Gen. Robert M. Montague: Guided missile expert; 1947 commander of Fort Bliss; headed nuclear Armed Forces Special Weapons Center, Sandia Base.

7. Dr. Jerome Hunsaker: Aeronautical engineer, MIT; chaired NACA after Bush.

8. Rear Adm. Sidney Souers: first director of Central Intelligence Group, first executive secretary of National Security Council (NSC).

9. Gordon Gray: Secretary of the Army; intelligence and national security expert; CIA psychological strategy board (1951–1953); Chairman of NSC 5412 Committee (1954–1958); National Security Advisor (1958–1961).

10. Dr. Donald Menzel: Astronomer, Harvard; cryptologist during war; security consultant to CIA and NSA.

11. Dr. Detlev Bronk:
Medical physicist; aviation physiologist; chair, National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council; president Johns Hopkins & Rockefeller University.

12. Dr. Lloyd Berkner: Physicist; radio expert; executive secretary of Bush's JRDB.

Many of these men had reliably documented activities related to UFOs:
1. Vandenberg, as Director of Central Intelligence in 1946, had overseen investigations into the so-called Ghost rockets in Europe and wrote intelligence memos about the phenomena. Later as Air Force Chief of Staff, both Vandenberg and Twining oversaw early U.S. Air Force UFO investigations, like Project Sign and Project Blue Book and made some public statements on UFOs.

2. Twining had previously written a famous Secret memo on September 23, 1947 (the day before Truman allegedly set up MJ-12) stating that flying saucers were real and urged formal investigation by multiple government organizations such as the AEC, NACA, NEPA, Bush's JRDB, and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.[13] This led directly to the creation of Project Sign in late 1947.
Vandenberg met with Bush's JRDB in a suddenly called meeting on the morning of the Roswell UFO incident (July 8, 1947) and was reported in the press as handling the later public relations crises.[14]

3. Bush was directly implicated in 1950-51 Canadian documents heading a highly secret UFO investigation within the Research and Development Board (RDB); this assertion was confirmed by Canadian scientist Wilbert B. Smith[15] Immediately after the Roswell UFO incident, Bush made public statements denying any knowledge of UFOs or any relation they might have to secret government projects.[16]

4. Berkner was on the 1953 CIA-organized Robertson Panel debunking UFOs and helped establish Project Ozma, the first radio telescope search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

5. Menzel filed a UFO report in 1949, later wrote several UFO debunking books, and was the most prominent public UFO debunker of his time. Many conspiracy theorists see this as a "cover-up" for alleged MJ12 - alien connections.

6. Hillenkoetter was on the board of directors of the powerful civilian UFO organization NICAP and made public statements to Congress about UFO reality in 1960.

7. The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), which Hunsaker chaired from 1941–1958, is also known from documents to have occasionally delved into UFO cases. Other members of NACA were Bush (1938–1948), Compton (1948–1949), Vandenberg (1948–1953), Twining (1953–1957), and Bronk (1948–1958).

8. Teller was a member of a scientific panel in 1949 at  Los Alamos National Laboratory looking into the UFO phenomenon known as the green fireballs.

SOME SAY 'THE MAJIK 12' WAS ALSO REFERENCED BY THE "MK" IN THE NOW-KNOWN AND CIA-ADMITTED "MK-ULTRA" PROGRAM AND OTHER DOCUMENT RELEASES TIED TO THAT SECRET PROGRAM.

[SEE "MK-ULTRA PROGRAM" <HERE>, ON THE CIA's OWN WEBSITE]

The National Archives contain one document relating to MJ-12, found in 1985, which has been interpreted as corroborative evidence for the MJ-12 documents being genuine:

"Memorandum for General Twining, from Robert Cutler, Special Assistant to the President, Subject: "NSC/MJ-12 Special Studies Project" dated July 14, 1954.

The memo advised Twining of a change of scheduling for a planned briefing following an already scheduled, unspecified "White House meeting" on July 16. Cutler was Eisenhower's National Security adviser. The NSC was the 'National Security Council'.
The memorandum does not identify MJ-12 or the purpose of the briefing.

"In 1976 and 1977, the U.S. Senate conducted investigations and even held a joint committee hearing on Project MKUltra, then published much of what was discovered.

DON'T PANIC THE PUBLIC
According to classified records released on 5 August 2010, British wartime prime minister Winston Churchill banned the reporting for 50 years of an alleged UFO incident because of fears it could create mass panic.

According to the letter describing this alleged incident: "Mr Churchill is reported to have made a declaration to the effect, 'This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic among the general population and destroy one's belief in the Church.'"

Reports given to Churchill claimed the incident allegedly involved a Royal Air Force (RAF) reconnaissance plane returning from a mission in France or Germany toward the end of the Second World War.
It was over or near the English coastline when it was allegedly suddenly intercepted by a strange metallic object that matched the aircraft's course and speed for a time before accelerating away and disappearing.

The plane's crew were reported to have photographed the object, which they said had "hovered noiselessly" near the aircraft, before moving off.

According to the documents, details of the cover-up emerged when a grandson of a man who was one of Churchill's personal bodyguards wrote to the government in 1999 seeking to find out more about the incident.
He described how his grandfather, who served with the RAF in the Second World War, was present when Churchill and U.S. General Dwight Eisenhower discussed how to deal with the UFO encounter.

Velasco's Definition
Jean-Jacques Velasco was the director of the French government's program to investigate and analyze unidentified aerospace phenomena from 1983-2004. He writes in Kean's book: "It is possible to show, using data from established cases officially listed throughout the world, that UFOs -- material objects -- exist and are distinct from any ordinary phenomena. These cases are few, but their extraordinary characteristics and physical effects demonstrate this fact without ambiguity. On the basis of well established cases, the existence of UFOs is without question. UFOs seem to be 'artificial and controlled objects,' and their physical characteristics can be measured by our detection systems - particularly radar.
They display a physics seemingly far different from that which we employ in our most technologically advanced countries. Ground and on-board radar show that their performances greatly exceed our best aeronautical and space capabilities.

These capabilities include stationary and silent flights, accelerations and speeds defying the laws of inertia, effects on electronic navigation or transmission systems, and the apparent ability to induce electrical blackouts. When encountered by military aircraft, these objects seem able to anticipate and neutralize pilots' defensive maneuvers. In such encounters the UFO phenomenon appears to behave as if it is under some kind of intelligent control."

Interactive Map: UFO Sightings Taken Seriously by the U.S. Government

"From 1947 to 1969, at the height of the Cold War, more than 12,000 UFO sightings were reported to Project Blue Book, a small, top-secret Air Force team. Their mission? To scientifically investigate the incidents and determine whether any posed a national security threat. Here are some of their most fascinating cases."

FOR ME, THE TWO MOST FASCINATING CASES ARE THE 'BLACK KNIGHT SATELLITE' AND THE ROSWELL INCIDENT. I'VE STUDIED BOTH FOR OVER 50 YEARS.

THE BLACK KNIGHT AND THE WHITE KNIGHT

RELATED TO THE 'BLACK KNIGHT' IS NASA's TOP SECRET X-37 SPACEPLANE, LAUNCHED FIRST BY A U.S. ROCKET NAMED "THE WHITE KNIGHT"...WHERE DOES IT GO AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

SECOND PHOTO BELOW: FILMED BY ASTRO-PHOTOGRAPHER RALF VANDENBURG FROM THE NETHERLANDS.

DID HE PHOTOGRAPH THE X-37B OR DID HE PERHAPS CAPTURE AN IMAGE OF THE MYTHICAL 'BLACK KNIGHT'?

COMPARE THE TWO IMAGES.

The Grumman Aircraft Corporation gave much importance to this mysterious “Satellite”.
On September 3, 1960, seven months after the satellite was first detected by radar, a tracking camera at Grumman Aircraft Corporation’s Long Island factory took a photograph of the Black Knight satellite.
Grumman formed a committee to study the data received from the observations, but nothing was made public.

The Boeing X-37, also known as the Orbital Test Vehicle, is a reusable robotic spacecraft. It is boosted into space by a launch vehicle, then re-enters Earth's atmosphere and lands as a spaceplane.

The X-37 is operated by the United States Air Force for orbital spaceflight missions intended to demonstrate reusable space technologies. It is a 120%-scaled derivative of the earlier Boeing X-40.

INTERESTING TO NOTE THE NAME OF THE LAUNCH VEHICLE THAT FIRST CARRIED THIS 'DARPA' INVENTION ALOFT..."WHITE KNIGHT"!

"The X-37 was carried by Scaled Composites White Knight launch aircraft with five captive flights and three free fall flights recorded."

Notice how each OTV mission has a longer duration in space…

OTV-1 launched on April 22, 2010, and ended on December 3, 2010 (224 days in space).

OTV-2 began March 5, 2011, and landed on June 16, 2012 (468 days).

OTV-3 launched on December 11, 2012, and came down on October 17, 2014 (675 days).

OTV-4 lifted off on May 20, 2015, and landed May 7, 2017 (718 days).

OTV-5 began on September 7, 2017 and was still up there as of August 27, 2019, breaking its own record with 719 days in space.

The Air Force says it's loaded with experimental cargo: electronics and oscillating heat pipes for long-duration stints in the space environment. The payload’s top science objectives, we are told, are to measure the thermal performance of extended space travel to asses any lifetime degradation.

The 3rd Space Experimentation Squadron oversees OTV-5 at the Schriever Air Force Base, has sparked suspicion that the space plane’s payload could be carrying intelligence-gathering sensors to spy on China and or Russia.

IS IT A 'STAR WARS WEAPON LAUNCHER'?
EVER HEAR OF "RODS FROM GOD"?

"Another concept is the spacecraft as a carrier and launch vehicle for so-called 'Rods from God'.

“Rods from God” is a theoretical weapon system that consists of a tungsten bar with a guidance system. On command, the rods de-orbit and slam into targets at hypersonic speeds, using kinetic energy to do tremendous damage. But such weapons would require a large de-orbit thruster to kick off their descent, likely too big for the X-37B’s payload bay.

ON JULY 24, 2019, ONE OF OUR NATIONAL SECURITY'S DE-BUNKING MOUTHPIECES, 'POPULAR MECHANICS' ('POPULAR SCIENCE' IS ANOTHER) INFORMED US THAT, INDEED, THE X-37B CAN AND DOES "DISAPPEAR" SOMETIMES (JUST LIKE THE 'BLACK KNIGHT' DOES)

HISTORY OF THE 'BLACK KNIGHT'

In 1953, four years before the U.S.S.R. launched Sputnik I, an object of unknown origin was sighted by Dr. Lincoln La Paz of the University of New Mexico orbiting the earth. As more reports of sightings trickled in from around the world, the U.S. Department of Defense appointed distinguished astronomer Clyde W. Tombaugh (best known for his discovery of the dwarf planet Pluto in 1930) to run a search for the mystery object.

The blip became known as “Black Knight”.

The Pentagon never formally released the results of Dr Tombaugh’s study.

No more was heard about the object until December, 1957, when Dr Luis Corralos of the Communications Ministry in Venezuela photographed it.

The first modern satellites, Sputnik I & 2, had been launched just a few months earlier. Dr Corralos was taking pictures of the second of these modern marvels as it passed over Caracas and his photos caught the unknown object shadowing the Russian craft.

"Black Knight” was observed once again in 1960, this time by one of the stations that formed the Northern American Air Defense System.

The object was in a polar orbit, something that neither the Americans or Soviets were capable of at the time. Several times larger and heavier than anything capable of being launched with 1960's rockets, it shouldn’t have been there, but it was.

The observation startled the U.S. military. Not only did the intelligence agencies have no idea that the USSR had launched a new satellite, nothing in their reports on Soviet space activity suggested they had the capacity to place an object into a polar orbit, or to launch something that was estimated to be in excess of 15 tons.

America accused the Russians of launching a "spy satellite", the Russians accused America of the same thing and both nations doubled-down on attaining polar orbits.

Three years later Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper launched into space on his 22-orbit mission in the Faith 7 capsule. On his final orbit, he reported seeing a glowing green shape ahead of his capsule, heading in his direction. The Muchea tracking station, in Australia, which Cooper reported this to was also able to pick it up on radar traveling in an east-to-west orbit. This event was reported by NBC. NASA said Cooper had too much CO2 in his system and was perhaps hallucinating. Reporters were warned not to question him about what he saw.

On August 23, 1954, the technology magazine Aviation Week and Space Technology released a story about the Black Knight Satellite that angered the Pentagon who were trying to keep the information secret.

On September 3,1960, seven months after the satellite was first detected by radar, a tracking camera at Grumman Aircraft Corporation’s Long Island factory took a photograph of it.

On May 18, 1961 the Smithsonian Observatory at Cambridge Massachusetts sighted an unidentified “bright satellite.”

Even everyday people had been occasionally spotting it, making it out as a red, glowing object moving in a west to east orbit.

Beginning in 1961, Professor Ronald Newbold Bracewell from Stanford University
theorized that there may be an alien probe in orbit over earth, which was waiting to receive intelligent radio transmissions from earth and bounce them back to their home world, thus the 'Long Delay Echo Phenomena'.

In June of the same year, an article was published in FATE Magazine by Harlan Wilson, concerning this theory.

From 1958 to 1965, England built twenty-five, but only launched twenty-two
rockets in a program named, oddly enough, “Black Knight.” None of the rockets were ever put into orbit, however, nor did they break out of the atmosphere.

Ham radio operators worldwide had been receiving transmissions from Black Knight for decades. (As I said before, my dad and uncle had both picked up on the anomaly, as had a few of their ham operator friends. They simply assumed it was either the Russians or America trying out some "secret weapon" as many were aware of our "race to space".)

Perhaps the strangest phenomenon associated with the Black Knight back then was the "Long Delay Echo" (LDE). This strange effect allowed radio or television signals sent into space to 'bounce back' seconds (or sometimes days) later, much as we record and re-transmit by satellite today.

But this was going on before all the communications satellites were up there.
First identified over 30 years earlier by Norwegian geophysicist Carl Stormer and a Dutch collaborator Balthasar van der Pol, it was discovered that short wave radio messages were followed by mysterious echoes that were picked up at indiscriminate intervals after the original transmissions. The delays were so long that they could not be readily attributed to atmospheric quirks, magnetic storms or other natural phenomena.
Scientists have yet to solve the mystery of the echoes beyond any doubt.

ALLEGEDLY, Scottish Astronomer and science writer Duncan Lunan, in a paper presented to the British Interplanetary Society in 1973, noticed a correspondence between the LDE effect and the periodic appearances of Black Knight.

WHAT THE SATELLITE ALLEGEDLY TRANSMITTED, DECODED AND VERY, VERY QUESTIONABLE:

“Our home is Epsilon Boötis, which is a double star. We live on the sixth planet of seven—check that, the sixth of seven—counting outwards from the sun, which is the larger of the two stars. Our sixth planet has one moon. Our fourth planet has three. Our first and third planet each have one. Our probe is in the orbit of your moon.”
–signal translation originating from ‘The Black Knight’ Satellite, Time Magazine April 9, 1973

USS NIMITZ SIGHTINGS

Location: California Coast
November 2004

"U.S. Navy pilot Cmdr. David Fravor recalled seeing "something not from this earth" while commanding a U.S. Navy strike fighter squadron during exercises some 60 to 100 miles off the coast of California. He recounted observing a tic-tac shaped vessel moving at great speed. The UFO was seen by a crew separate from Fravor that tracked the object and filmed it for more than a minute. The footage has now been declassified and published.

The case was publicized by The New York Times following the Pentagon's acknowledgement of its Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, a 21st-century study of UFO sightings."

NIKOLA TESLA, early 20th century.
“I am now planning aerial machines devoid of sustaining planes, ailerons, propellers, and other external attachments, which will be capable of immense speeds”
 – Nikola Tesla’s autobiography

To a Westinghouse manager, Tesla wrote, "You should not be at all surprised, if some day you see me fly from New York to Colorado Springs in a contrivance which will resemble a gas stove and weigh as much. … and could, if necessary enter and depart through a window.'” (7-7-1912)

In 1928, Nikola Tesla's last patent (#6,555,114), was for a flying machine that resembled both a helicopter and an airplane.

He had referenced his plan for an "anti-electromagnetic field drive or Space Drive".
He also mentioned the need for gyroscopes on his device.

In a lecture Tesla prepared for the Institute of Immigrant Welfare (May. 12, 1938), he again mentioned his 'Dynamic Theory of Gravity'. Tesla said in his lecture that this was: “One of two far reaching discoveries, which I worked out in all details in the years 1893 and 1894.”

Tesla’s greatest inventions were all based on the study of waves.
He always considered sound, light, heat, X-rays and radio waves to be related phenomena that could be studied using the same sort of math.

His differences with Einstein suggest that he had extended this thinking to gravity waves.

In the 1980s Tesla was proved to be right.
A study of energy loss in a double neutron star pulsar called PSR 1913 + 16 proved that gravity waves exist.
Tesla’s idea that gravity is a field effect is now taken more seriously.

WHOM DO WE BELIEVE?
HOW DO WE DECIDE WHICH PEOPLE ARE TELLING US THE TRUTH?

TAKE THE ROSWELL INCIDENT, FOR EXAMPLE, SOMETHING I'VE BEEN DIGGING INTO FOR OVER 55 YEARS.

THE FIRST TWO PHOTOS ARE NOT CONFIRMED AS VALID, BUT I'VE ALWAYS BEEN COMPELLED BY THEM BECAUSE THE SAME (?) FELLOW IN WHITE SHIRT AND JEANS APPEARS IN BOTH AND BECAUSE THE RANCHER WHO FOUND THE WRECKAGE STATED THAT THE MILITARY SENT TRUCKS TO HAUL IT ALL AWAY AND  BECAUSE A MILITARY PHOTOGRAPHER CLAIMED HE PHOTOGRAPHED THE SITE.

ALSO, MORE THAN ONE 'EYEWITNESS' STATED THERE WERE TWO DOWNED 'SAUCERS'.

Major Jesse Marcel, the Intelligence Officer at the 509th Bomb Group, was involved in the recovery of the wreckage which was (ALLEGEDLY) initially transported to Roswell Army Air Field.

On July 8, 1947, the
Roswell Daily Record's headline story revealed that the wreckage of a flying saucer HAD been recovered from a ranch in the area.

When questioned Major Marcel disclosed that the wreckage had been flown from New Mexico on to higher headquarters.

Colonel William Blanchard, Commander of the 509th Bomb Group, issued a press release stating that the wreckage of a crashed disk had been recovered.

A second press release was issued from the office of General Roger Ramey, Commander of the Eighth Air Force at Ft. Worth Army Air Field in Ft. Worth, Texas within hours of the first press release.

The second press release rescinded the first press release and claimed that officers of the 509th Bomb Group had incorrectly identified a weather balloon and its radar reflector as a crashed disk.

HOW COULD A COLONEL AND A MAJOR MAKE SUCH A TERRIBLE, BIG MISTAKE?

AS REPORTED BACK THEN:
"The many rumors regarding the flying disk became a reality yesterday when the intelligence office of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eight Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc through the co-operation of one of the local ranchers and the Sheriff's Office of Chaves county.

The flying object landed on a ranch near Roswell sometime last week. Not having phone facilities, the rancher stored the disc until such time as he was able to contact the Sheriff's office, who in turn notified Major Jesse A. Marcel, of the 509th Bomb Group Intelligence office.

Action was immediately taken and the disc was picked up at the rancher's home. It was inspected at the Roswell Army Air Field and subsequently loaned by Major Marcel to higher headquarters."

OTHER EYEWITNESSES

"The Ballard Funeral Home in Roswell had a contract to provide ambulance and mortuary services for Roswell Army Air Field.

Glenn Dennis, a young Mortician who worked for Ballard Funeral Homes, received several phone calls from the Mortuary Officer at the air field prior to learning of the recovery of the wreckage. Glenn Dennis was asked about the availability of small hermetically sealed caskets and for his recommendations on the preservation of bodies that had been exposed to the elements for several days.

His curiosity aroused, Dennis visited the Base Hospital that evening and was forcibly escorted from the building.
This behavior only incited Glenn Dennis' curiosity and he arranged to meet a nurse from the Base Hospital on the following day in a coffee house.

The nurse claimed she had been in attendance during autopsies performed on "... several small non-human bodies ..."

Dennis kept drawings of aliens that the nurse had sketched on a napkin during their meeting. This meeting was to be their last and Dennis could learn no more about the alien bodies, as the nurse was abruptly transferred to England within the next few days."

ALSO FROM HUFFINGTON POST:

“There were actually two crashes at Roswell, which most people don’t know,” retired Air Force Lt. Col. Richard French told HuffPost. “The first one was shot down by an experimental U.S. airplane that was flying out of White Sands, N.M., and it shot what was effectively an electronic pulse-type weapon that disabled and took away all the controls of the UFO, and that’s why it crashed.”

French — an Air Force pilot who was in Alamagordo, N.M., in 1947, being tested in an altitude chamber, an annual requirement for rated officers — was very specific in how the military allegedly brought down what he believes was a spacecraft from another world.

When they hit it with that electromagnetic pulse — bingo! — there goes all their electronics and, consequently, the UFO was uncontrollable,” said French, who flew hundreds of combat missions in Korea and Southeast Asia, and who held several positions working for Military Intelligence.

After eyewitnesses — including numerous military personnel — began to tell stories of their participation in an alleged cover-up of the Roswell incident, some researchers insisted that it was, in fact, an alien ship that crashed at Roswell."

WHETHER ROSWELL WAS A COVER-UP OR NOT IS STILL DEBATABLE.
SEVERAL MEN WENT TO THEIR GRAVES SWEARING IT WAS A COVER-UP IN WHICH THEY HAD A PART.
WE EACH CHOOSE WHAT WE WANT TO BELIEVE.

STILL, AS HUFF POST DISCOVERED, THE AIR FORCE IS STILL HIDING THINGS TODAY.
Air Force UFO Rules Vanish After Huffington Post Inquiry

10/19/2011  Updated Dec 06, 2017

"What makes this so intriguing is that the U.S. government officially stopped investigating UFOs in 1969 with the termination of the Air Force’s Project Blue Book.

The military deleted a passage about unidentified flying objects from a 2008 Air Force personnel manual just days after The Huffington Post asked Pentagon officials about the purpose of the UFO section.

Before the recent revisions, the document — Air Force Instruction 10-206 — advised pilots, radar operators and other Air Force personnel on what to do when they encountered any unknown airborne objects.

Now in the 2011 version, the reference to UFOs — which simply means “unidentified flying objects,” not necessarily spaceships with little green men — has been eliminated.

“The reason why the military is claiming they don’t investigate UFOs is because they don’t want to respond to people like you,” former Air Force Captain Robert Salas told The Huffington Post.

“They don’t want to respond to reporters or to the public as to what the heck is going on, and it’s been going on for so long. They just don’t want to have to answer that question.”

Yet more than 40 years after the close of Project Blue Book, there were still written orders on what Air Force personnel should do in the event they spotted a flying vehicle that couldn’t be identified.

As recently as early September, Air Force members who came across anything they didn’t recognize were told to note “altitude, direction of travel, speed, description of flight path and maneuvers, what first called attention to the object, how long was the object visible and how did the object disappear?”

Eyes in the sky and on the ground were commanded to treat a UFO as they would if they had seen a missile, hostile aircraft or unidentified submarine.

All details were required to be included in a report to NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command), which protects the airspace over the U.S. and Canada.

On Sept. 2, The Huffington Post made inquiries to the Air Force about the UFO directives. A spokesman said he’d arrange an interview with an appropriate officer. But before the interview was set up, the 111-page instruction manual was revised on Sept. 6, and the UFO instructions were deleted, as were other portions of the document, now shortened to 40 pages.

HuffPost News first received the 2008 Air Force procedure document from John Greenewald, creator of The Black Vault, the largest private online archive — at 600,000 downloadable pages — of declassified documents on UFOs, government secrets, conspiracies, biological nuclear weapons and terrorist activities."

THE U.K. NEWSPAPER, THE TELEGRAPH, HAS DONE SEVERAL PIECES ON THE UFO ENIGMA. BELOW ARE LINKS TO TWO.

None of the above, not any of it, answers the "burning question",
WHAT WOULD EARTH'S POPULATION DO IF WE KNEW "ALIENS' WERE ON THEIR WAY TO EARTH?

WHAT IF THEY'RE ALREADY HERE?

**MORE ON THE 'BLACK KNIGHT SATELLITE'

In the early 1950's, as the space exploration race between the United States and the Soviet Union brewed, the U.S. made an alarming discovery...

What was found was a large unknown satellite rhythmically orbiting the Earth, allegedly broadcasting an unidentifiable signal. Of course, the go-to assumption would be that it was one of the Russian's satellites. Except, at the time it was discovered, neither Russia, nor any other nation had developed the technology to launch a satellite into orbit. While the mystery satellite hadn't appeared to emit any activity other than its strange and indecipherable signal, something unusual happened in 1963...

During a space exploration flight that year, astronaut Gordon Cooper reported seeing a glowing green object orbiting Earth. He reported the object to NASA and stated that it appeared to be moving toward his capsule...

The object was verified by NASA, but reporters were prohibited from asking Cooper any questions about it when he returned to Earth. The official published explanation for what the astronaut saw was that Gordon was experiencing "high levels of carbon dioxide, which caused hallucinations."
What made it even harder was the fact that the object was not constantly observable, it would disappear every now and then only to pop up again months or years later.

First Sighting. The most important component of the space watch went into operation about six months ago with the construction of "Dark Fence," a kind of radar trip wire stretching across the width of the U.S.
Designed by the Naval Research Laboratory to keep track of satellites whose radios are silent, it is a notable improvement on other radars, which have difficulty finding a small satellite unless they know where to look.
Big, 50-kw. transmitters were established at Gila River, near Phoenix, Ariz, and Jordan Lake, Ala., spraying radio waves upward in the shape of open fans. Some 250 miles on either side, receiving stations pick up signals that bounce off any object passing through the fans. By a kind of triangulation, the operators can make rough estimates of the object's speed, distance and course.

On Jan. 31 Dark Fence detected two passes of what seemed to be an unknown space object. After detecting several passes during the following days, Captain W. E. Berg, commanding officer of Dark Fence, decided that something was circling overhead on a roughly polar orbit. He raced to the Pentagon and in person reported the menacing stranger to Chief of Naval Operations Arleigh Burke. Within minutes the news was communicated to President Eisenhower and marked top secret.

It took two weeks for Dark Fence's scientists to check back through their taped observations, and to discover that the mysterious satellite had first showed up on Aug. 15. The Air Force surveillance center also checked its records to provide a list of everything else that was circling in the sky, and its computers worked out a detailed description of the new object's behavior.
The evidence from both Air Force and Navy pointed to Discoverer V, fired from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif, on Aug. 13.

WAS IT, THOUGH?

OF COURSE WE ALSO DON'T KNOW WHAT ALL OR WHEN STRANGE AIRCRAFT WERE INVENTED AND FLOWN BY GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE WORLD.

MANY, SUCH AS THOSE FACTUAL ONES SHOWN BELOW HAVE, INDEED, EXISTED.

WE SHOULD BE TOLD WHAT THAT 'SOMETHING' IS.
