TENS OF MILLIONS FACE FOOD SHORTAGES, STARVATION...AGAIN

MANY WHO READ THIS MAY DOUBT THAT EL NINO CAN HAVE SUCH A WIDESPREAD AND WIDE-RANGING EFFECT ON THE ENTIRE WORLD'S WEATHER SYSTEM.

THE TEA ROOM ALSO QUESTIONS THE "SCIENCE" BEHIND THE CLAIMS, BUT I ALSO MUST POINT OUT THAT, HISTORICALLY, FEW HAVE HONESTLY GIVEN TWO CENTS IF THESE NATIONS STARVE TO DEATH OR PERISH IN OTHER WAYS.

THE FACT IS, FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS, THE SAME NATIONS HAVE FACED FOOD CRISES AND THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE IN MORE AFFLUENT NATIONS SIMPLY DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN.

AND THAT IS WHY I DECIDED TO POST THIS...BECAUSE I DO GIVE A DAMN.

23 February 2016

Around 6 million people starving: Tens of thousands of dead cattle: 75% of crops have been abandoned as El Nino brings Zimbabwe to it's knees.

As Zimbabwe’s president, Robert Mugabe celebrates his 92nd birthday his country has been declared a state of disaster as rural areas have been hit by the worst drought on record.

Around 6 million people are thought to be suffering severe food shortages.
The drought which is being exaggerated by the El-Nino weather phenomenon has left tens of thousands of cattle dead, emptied reservoirs and decimated crops as the former breadbasket of Africa is brought to it's knees, the fact that Mugabe took farms away from white farmers and gave them to black labourers in the 1980's has helped fan the flames.

The continued threat of the El Niňo-induced drought means the president has declared a state of disaster in regard to severely affected areas reports The Guardian.
Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe has blamed low farm yields on climate change and on erratic rains due to climate change, as well as sanctions imposed by western countries over the government’s human rights record.

Critics say the food shortages have been caused partially by land reforms enacted by the president since 2000, when the government oversaw the often violent eviction of white farmers.

Many farms are underutilised, and the government has vowed to hold an audit to ensure agriculture land is put into production.

“The rains came too late to save the crops.
Most of the maize wilted,” Enos Janhi, a farmer in Masvingo, one of the worst affected districts, told AFP. “Farmers are driving their cattle into the fields to graze on the drying stalks.
The government must act urgently to bring us food.”

Kasukuwere said at least 16,500 cattle have died in Zimbabwe, while as much as 75% of crops have been abandoned in the worst-hit areas."

A GLOBAL FOOD CRISIS18 FEB. 2016

"This year’s El Niño, which forecasters are calling one of the strongest ever, may have passed its peak strength, but changes in global weather will continue to wreak havoc on food supplies across Africa, Asia, and Latin America for months to come, according to the United Nations’ World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Severe droughts and floods triggered by this year’s El Niño have already had a devastating effect on food security throughout the world, leaving some 100 million people with food and water shortages.

Dry conditions have also plagued harvests in Central and Latin America, with more than 3.5 million people facing food shortages in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

In Haiti, an estimated 3 million people, or a nearly a third of the population, face food shortages due to drought. Of those, some 800,000 are deemed to be in urgent need of assistance

In Papua New Guinea, an El Niño-driven drought, combined with frost, has impacted up to a third of the island-nation’s population, leaving millions without enough food. Papua New Guinea is extremely self-dependent when it comes to food, with nearly 83 percent of its food produced in-country....

El Niño events occur when ocean temperatures in the equatorial Pacific Ocean are abnormally warm, leading to extreme weather events like droughts or flooding elsewhere.

In 1997-98, the strongest El Niño ever recorded caused more than $45 billion in global economic damage and led to an estimated 23,000 deaths.

Despite the El Niño pattern’s declining strength, experts expect that it will continue to impact both global precipitation and temperature trends, with food shortages lasting into 2017.

THE TEA ROOM DOES NOT CARE WHAT THE U.N. OR ITS WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION THINKS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT I READ OF THESE CRISES BY OTHERS WHO ARE EYEWITNESS TO THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE SITUATION.

THE U.N. HAS INTENTIONALLY (MY PERSONAL OPINION) WATCHED THESE NATIONS STARVE BEFORE AND WILL AGAIN.
THEY'LL COLLECT MILLIONS TO BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND SACKS OF GRAIN, ETC, FOR "FOOD ASSISTANCE" AND THEN WE'LL HEAR THE PEOPLE IN THOSE NATIONS SAY THEY WERE NEVER OR WERE BARELY HELPED BY THOSE MILLIONS, OR BY GETTING FOOD OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD PROSPER THEM FROM THE CURSED U.N.

WE'LL ONCE MORE READ STORIES LATER THAT TELL HOW THE FUNDS AND/OR THE FOOD WAS TAKEN BY NATIONAL AND/OR LOCAL POLITICIANS, THOSE IN CHARGE OF FOOD DISTRIBUTION, AND WE'LL STILL HEAR HOW MANY DIED WAITING FOR FOOD THAT NEVER CAME, FOR WELLS THAT WERE NEVER DUG, FOR SEED, FOR LIVESTOCK TO REPLACE WHAT'S LOST...NONE OF IT WILL EVER MATERIALIZE.

IT'S BEEN THE SAME FOR ALL THE 60+ YEARS I HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE REPETITIVE FAMINES, DROUGHTS, DISEASES, ETC, THAT ARE COMMON TO THESE AREAS OF OUR WORLD....JUST THESE SAME AREAS.

NO ONE REMOTELY CONNECTED TO THE U.N. REALLY HELPS IN WAYS THAT CAN PREVENT THIS HAPPENING ANOTHER 100 TIMES...NOT EVER.

WHILE IT IS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE TO FIND WAYS TO AVOID THESE SCENARIOS BY SPENDING MONEY ON TEACHING PEOPLE BETTER WAYS TO COPE, BETTER WAYS TO FARM, PROVIDING BETTER/EASIER LIVESTOCK TO RAISE THAN CATTLE, WAYS TO FIND AND CONSERVE NEEDED WATER AND THEREFORE SURVIVE, OR HELP THEM TO OUST THEIR GREEDY, SELF-SERVING CRIMINAL LEADERS, OR MOVE ELSEWHERE, THE U.N. WILL GO THROUGH THE SAME MOTIONS AS ALWAYS AND THEN REPORT THEIR OWN FAILURE TO THE REST OF US.

"WE TRIED TO HELP, BUT WERE BLOCKED."

BS!
THIRD WORLD NATIONS WERE LONG AGO MARKED FOR ERADICATION.

WHETHER BY DISEASE, NEW AND IMPROVED VIRUSES OR OLD STANDBY VIRUSES AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES, OR BY FAMINES, DROUGHTS, WHATEVER, THE "THIRD WORLD" HASN'T STOOD A CHANCE IN HUNDREDS OF YEARS.

AFTER ALL, WITH THEIR POPULATIONS DECIMATED, IT IS FAR EASIER FOR THE U.N., VIA THE WORLD BANK AND OTHER CHANNELS, TO SIMPLY WALK IN AND TAKE OVER THOSE NATIONS' NATURAL RESOURCES, THE ONES THEY WERE TOO POOR TO RETRIEVE AND MARKET THEMSELVES.

SIMPLY WATCH IT ALL PLAY OUT AGAIN...ONE DAY IT WILL BE THE LAST WE HEAR OF IT AS THE GENOCIDE WILL HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.

WHO WILL GO AND SEE, INVESTIGATE THESE RECURRING FAILURES TO "SAVE" MILLIONS?
PROBABLY NO ONE...IT'S THIRD WORLD NATIONS, AFTER ALL, THE ONES ALMOST NOBODY CARES ABOUT.
