Employee from NATO in Capellen found dead in Belgium.
"The senior NATO official was employed by the NATO support and procurement agency (NSPA)
A NATO employee who worked in Capellen was found with a bullet in his head, 100 kilometres from his home.
According to reports, the body of Yves Chan Delon was found in Andenne, Belgium.
A spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Namur talked of a possible suicide, a theory which was dismissed by the family of the man.
The official had gone to Belgium to visit a friend. But the circumstances of his death remain vague. He was in possession of three firearms, which had been declared. The shot which killed him reportedly came from a fourth weapon, found in the glove box, which was not declared.
Investigators are looking into whether the man had received any threats that could be related to his work."

"Yves Chandelon, a Chief Auditor at NATO, was found dead in the city of Andenne in the Belgian Ardennes on December 16, 2016. His death appears to have been first reported by French newspaper LaMeuse on December 20, 2016. It was picked up the next day by Luxembourgian paper Tageblatt.
On December 22nd, Russian publication Pravda ran the story in English, reporting that Chandelon’s body was detected 140km (87 miles) away from his work, and 100km (62 miles) away from his home in the city of Lens.
The article stated that he owned three registered weapons, and that the gun used in the suicide was not registered. It also noted that he had been receiving strange phone calls.
The same day, LaMeuse carried two reports with additional facts about Chandelon’s death.
The first stated that a “farewell letter” was found in Chandelon’s car.
The second stated that the gun used in the apparent suicide was found in his right hand, despite the fact that Chandelon was left-handed.
Also emerging on December 22nd was a report by Flemish newspaper De Morgen.
De Morgen wrote that the family of Chandelon contested the verdict of a suicide.
The family said that Chandelon had told them he felt he was being followed, and that he was receiving strange phone calls prior to his death.
The family stated that he was a happy individual and had made several plans for the New Year."

As he had mentioned to his entourage, he thought he had been followed and had already received “strange” calls."
Belgian newspaper group SudInfo.be reported Mr Chandelon's family has a number of unanswered questions surrounding the strange death.
Part of that investigation is the fact that Mr Chandelon was responsible for probing terror financing as part of his high ranking job.

HIS FAMILY'S STATEMENTS AND THE FACT HE WAS FOUND WITH THE GUN IN HIS RIGHT, NOT LEFT HAND, BEING A LEFT-HANDED MAN, AND GIVEN THAT LOCAL NEWS ARTICLES INITIALLY REPORTED THAT THE GUN FROM WHICH THE FATAL BULLET WAS FIRED WAS FOUND INSIDE HIS VEHICLE'S GLOVE BOX, SHOULD MEAN FURTHER INVESTIGATION IS WARRANTED...BUT SUCH WILL NOT BE THE CASE.
