LET'S LOOK BACK AT WHAT THE "EXPERT" SAID DURING THE 2009 SWINE FLU (H1N1) PANDEMIC AFTER THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS HAD DIED..

Nowhere in the 2009 interview does Fauci use inflammatory, fear-inducing rhetoric, despite the number of H1N1-infected individuals, increased hospitalizations and deaths, including MANY children, occurring at that time.

Eleven years later, 2020, Fauci is gung-ho about COVID-19 being the scariest, deadliest thing in the universe.
"Shut down America! Mandatory quarantines, close all the schools, shut-down small businesses, 200,00 are going to die!"

Well, Fauci was wrong.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Sunday that recent drops in the rate of hospitalizations and deaths related to Covid-19 suggest that the virus might be nearing its peak in the state. The governor pointed to new data showing that the number of coronavirus-related deaths has declined, with 594 reported in the last 24 hours, compared to 630 in the previous 24-hour period. Some 574 New Yorkers, meanwhile, had been hospitalized with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, about half of the 1,000-plus hospitalized the previous day.

(16,837 TOTAL have been hospitalized, and a TOTAL of 4,504 of those patients have received treatment in an Intensive Care Unit. To date, 13,366 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been discharged from NY hospitals statewide. 4,504 CURRENTLY IN HOSPITAL THERE. )
NOT ALL ARE IN ICU, NOT ALL REQUIRE A VENTILATOR; CUOMO STATED DAYS AGO THAT HE HAD ALMOST 4,000 VENTILATORS IN STORAGE AND TRUMP SENT HIM 4,000 MORE.
" The Chinese government is sending New York 1,000 ventilators and Oregon is shipping another 140."

California shipped ventilators to New York, Washington state returned 400 for Cuomo's use.


ONE OF THE KINGS OF FEAR-MONGERING, THE NEW YORK TIMES, ACTUALLY REPORTED ONE FACT THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO HAVE OVERLOOKED...AND THEY WERE FACT-CHECKED FOR THEIR BIG, FALSE SPIN ON THAT ONE SINGLE FACT.

"There are at most 200k ventilators in the US." 200,000 AVAILABLE NOW. 

A former Times writer chimed in and absolutely eviscerated NYT with a scathing fact-check.

"The number comes from a March 19 SCCM paper: [One estimate is that 1/2 of] ICU admissions (960,000) would require ventilatory support. Such projections are gross estimates."

More importantly: this is everyone who may need ventilation OVER THE COURSE OF THE EPIDEMIC...
In fact, the paper states explicitly "that U.S. hospitals could absorb a maximum of 26,000 to 56,000 additional ventilators at the peak of a national pandemic, as safe use of ventilators requires trained personnel."

THE USA HAD 200,000 VENTILATORS THE TIMES SAID.

HHS said in a statement, announcing that Sandoz donated 30 million doses of hydroxychloroquine to the stockpile and Bayer donated 1 million doses of chloroquine."

Researchers at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia have discovered that the antiparasitic drug Ivermectin can inhibit replication of SARS-CoV-2, the virus the causes COVID-19, according to a study published Friday in the journal Antiviral Research.

“Ivermectin is very widely used and seen as a safe drug."

"Ivermectin's status as a drug that has already been studied and approved to treat other conditions offers a decided advantage over the development of new drugs, a long process that typically involves many years of studying safety and efficacy before being able to reach human patients," Newsweek stated."

Why did Dr. Fauci not sound the alarm in 2009 as urgently as he has done in 2020?

 "Why did he not insist we ‘force’ hospitals to cancel elective tests and surgeries to save room for future infected patients during the H1N1 outbreak?
Why did he pointedly target restaurants and bars in his concern for the spread of the coronavirus but not H1N1?
 As a specialist in infectious diseases, and as a self-described “man of science,” why support the closing of schools, businesses, and home quarantine for one virus and not the other?

 H1N1’s duration from April 2009 to April 2010 with 60 million infected and almost 13,000 deaths in the U.S. alone was no less serious than the 2020 coronavirus so why was Dr. Fauci taking a more measured approach in 2009?

The answers may come too late.
