WHEN I WROTE PREVIOUS ARTICLES ABOUT THE DANGERS OF ROUNDUP, SEVERAL DID NOT BELIEVE IT.
WHEN, TWO YEARS AGO, IT WAS SHOWN THAT PROBLEMS HAD ARISEN WITH ITS USE, SOME SAID THEY'D STILL USE IT.
SPRAY AWAY, BUT NOT IN MY DIRECTION!
WHEN NEIGHBOR ACROSS THE ROAD HOSED DOWN HIS PROPERTY WITH MONSANTO'S BEST-SELLER AND THEN FOUND DEAD RABBITS AND COYOTES AND HIS BARN CATS ALSO DIED WITHIN A FEW MONTHS, HE JUST WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS ROUNDUP THAT CAUSED IT.
SURVIVING RABBITS AND COYOTES MOVED ACROSS THE ROAD TO LIVE.
THEY HAVE NOT GONE BACK!
A HAWK AND TWO OWLS ALSO DISAPPEARED AFTER HE STARTED USING GOOD OLD ROUNDUP AND WE STILL SEE ONLY A RARE CARDINAL OR WREN AND NO MORE WOOD DUCKS.
SINCE SOME OF HIS PROPERTY IS ON A HILL, WE HAVE TO WONDER HOW MUCH OF THAT CRAP CROSSED THE ROAD DURING HEAVY RAINS.

"The California Environmental Protection Agency announced Friday a notice of intent to list glyphosate, one of the most widely-used herbicides in agriculture, and three other chemicals to a list of carcinogens under the state's Proposition 65 law.
Under the law, substances identified as carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) are to be added to the list. There is no separate evaluation of the evidence considered by the agency.
In March, the IARC, an arm of the World Health Organization,said glyphosate was “probably carcinogenic to humans,” a move widely unpopular with many in agriculture.
According to Sam Delson, a spokesman the California Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), businesses with 10 or more employees that use chemicals on this list must provide a “clear and reasonable warning” of the product's potential dangers.
HE ALSO SAID THAT LISTING IT AS A KNOWN CARCINOGEN WILL NOT AFFECT THE SALE OF THE PRODUCT, NOR BAN ITS USE!

"Monsanto continues to join with the agricultural industry in strongly disagreeing with IARC's classification. Glyphosate is an effective and valuable tool for farmers and other users, including many in the State of California. During the upcoming comment period, we will provide detailed scientific information to OEHHA about the safety of glyphosate and work to ensure that any potential listing will not affect glyphosate use or sales in California," Monsanto spokesperson Charla Lord said.
Nathan Donley, a staff scientist with the Center for Biological Diversity, lauded the OEHHA's move, saying it is “long past time to start reining in the out-of-control use of glyphosate” in the U.S.
“The spike in usage of glyphosate is really concerning because more use equals more exposure,” Donley said. “It's nearly impossible for people to limit exposure to this toxin because it is just so widespread. That's why we need much tighter controls on its use.”
Three other chemicals were also detailed in the notice of intent to list: tetrachlorvinphos, an insecticide used to kill fleas and ticks; parathion, described by the EPA as an “extremely toxic” insecticide; and malathion, an insecticide that has been used in agricultural settings, but also in urban settings such as mosquito and fruit fly eradication programs."
YEAH, WELL, WHAT ABOUT THOSE OF US WITH NEIGHBORS WHO INSIST ON USING THIS TOXIN?WILL WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THEM TO DIE FROM IT BEFORE WE CAN HOPE TO NOT GET THE RUNOFF FROM THEIR PROPERTY?
OR WILL WE HAVE TO PRESENT WITH SOME MALIGNANCY OURSELVES BEFORE WE CAN FORCE THEM TO CEASE AND DESIST?

"NEONICOTINOID PESTICIDE neurotoxins are absolutely the main factor causing the collapse of bee and pollinator populations along with other lethal chemicals, Agent Orange herbicides, glyphosate, etc. When these poisons are banned as they were in Europe the bee populations start to recover. GMO neonicotinoids, roundup etc.

An even scarier prospect: the "BT" version of GMO soybeans and corn, (basically pesticides engineered directly into the plant )
The "BT toxin" gene is put into the DNA of the corn in order for it to manufacture its own toxins that kill pests. The BT gene originated from a soil bacteria that also infiltrates the microflora (friendly digestive bacteria) in your gut. The Bt gene converts the microflora in your intestine into toxin-manufacturing machines.
So, to be clear, eating GMO corn products can cause your gut (which is primarily responsible for keeping you healthy) to turn into a breeding ground for tiny little pesticide factories inside your body, actively creating toxins which are designed to kill living things. These toxins are found in the blood and are readily transferred across the placenta to developing babies in the womb.Everywhere GMO is being grown, food allergies, disorders such as autism, reproductive disorders, digestive problems, and others have been skyrocketing in the human populations."

"Monsanto already dominates America’s food chain with its genetically modified seeds. Now it has targeted milk production. Just as frightening as the corporation’s tactics–ruthless legal battles against small farmers–is its decades-long history of toxic contamination.
Monsanto developed G.M. seeds that would resist its own herbicide, Roundup, offering farmers a convenient way to spray fields with weed killer without affecting crops. Monsanto then patented the seeds. For nearly all of its history the United States Patent and Trademark Office had refused to grant patents on seeds, viewing them as life-forms with too many variables to be patented.
Farmers who buy Monsanto’s patented Roundup Ready seeds are required to sign an agreement promising not to save the seed produced after each harvest for re-planting, or to sell the seed to other farmers. This means that farmers must buy new seed every year. Those increased sales, coupled with ballooning sales of its Roundup weed killer, have been a bonanza for Monsanto.
This radical departure from age-old practice has created turmoil in farm country.
So far, the company has produced G.M. seeds for soybeans, corn, canola, and cotton. Many more products have been developed or are in the pipeline, including seeds for sugar beets and alfalfa. The company is also seeking to extend its reach into milk production by marketing an artificial growth hormone for cows that increases their output, and it is taking aggressive steps to put those who don’t want to use growth hormone at a commercial disadvantage. "HOW MONSANTO IS TERRIFYING THE FARMING WORLD":
This mission started in the mid-'90s, when the company began developing genetically modified crops like soybeans, corn, alfalfa, sugar beets, and wheat (much of it used for livestock feed). Monsanto bred crops that were immune to its leading weed killer, Roundup. That meant farmers no longer had to till the land to kill weeds, as they'd done for hundreds of years. They could simply blast their fields with chemicals. The weeds would die while the crops grew unaffected. Problem solved.
Monsanto put a wonderful spin on this development: The so-called "No-Till Revolution" promised greater yields, better profits for the family farm, and a heightened ability to feed a growing world.
But there was a dark side.
First, farmers grew dependent on Monsanto, having to buy new seed every year, along with Monsanto's pesticides. The effects on human health were largely unknown — would it harm people to consume foods whose genetic profile had suddenly changed after millions of years? Or to eat the animals that had consumed those plants? What about ripple effects on ecosystems?
But agriculture had placed the belligerent strongman in charge of the buffet line.
Monsanto squeezed out competitors by buying the biggest seed companies, spending $12 billion on the splurge. The company bought up the best shelf space and distribution channels. Its braying of global benevolence began to look much more like a naked power grab.
Seed prices began to soar.
Since 1996, the cost of soybeans has increased 325 percent. Corn has risen 259 percent. And the price of genetically modified cotton has jumped a stunning 516 percent.
Instead of feeding the world, Monsanto drove prices through the roof — taking the biggest share for itself. A study by Dr. Charles Benbrook at Washington State University found that rapidly increasing seed and pesticide costs were tamping farmers' income, cutting them from any benefits of the new technology.
"They're a pesticide company that's bought up seed firms," says Bill Freese, a scientist at the Center for Food Safety. "Businesswise, it's a beautiful, really smart strategy. It's just awful for agriculture and the environment."
Today, Monsanto seeds cover 40 percent of America's crop acres — and 27 percent worldwide. The company makes nearly $8 billion per year.
"If you put control over plant and genetic resources into the hands of the private sector... and anybody thinks that plant breeding is still going to be used to solve society's real problems and to advance food security, I have a bridge to sell them," says Benbrook."
