Sadly, the truth is that almost all of us have WILLINGLY plugged ourselves into a colossal media system that literally TELLS US WHAT WE SHOULD THINK.
In the United States today, the 'average American' watches 153 hours of television a month. We also spend huge amounts of time watching movies, surfing the Internet, reading books and magazines, playing video games and listening to music.
Many Americans are so addicted to being "connected" that they will actually become physically uncomfortable if they are at home and there is TOTAL SILENCE and NO TV is on, NO computer, no link to the "web"...or the "MATRIX".
Various studies and surveys say that our young people spend more than 200 hours a month connected to mainstream media, but we only have about 480 waking hours a month! So almost HALF their lives are spent "PLUGGED IN"!
As I pointed out in a previous blog, the "news/information" that we tune into is owned by just 6 colossal media corporations. These mainstream media (MSM) giants also sell products, many, many products, including politicians.
So, could it be possible that the thousands of hours of "news and entertainment" that you are allowing these 6 corporations to pipe into your minds each year is having an effect on you?
Could the carefully honed techniques of the advertisement world be as easily applied to selling you the news, or a candidate up for election?
Does the mainstream media actually have more control over you than you believe?
ARE WE IN ALL ACTUALITY PLUGGED INTO A MIND-BENDING "MATRIX"?
HAVE WE ALLOWED OURSELVES TO BE CONTROLLED BY WHICHEVER MEDIA GIVES US WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR OR SEE, OUR 'FAVORITES', THE ONES WHO "THINK LIKE WE DO"?
OR COULD IT BE THAT THE MEDIA HAS PROGRAMMED US TO THINK LIKE THEY DO?

When you get to work or to school each day, what is everyone talking about?
Usually, people are talking about something that they saw on television or that they heard about in "the news".
In our modern society, we have quite limited interactions with other people, and those we limit ourselves to are greatly defined by our MUTUAL connection to the media.
Mainstream media, whether we acknowledge it or not, literally defines for us what is important and what is not on any given day.
If the MAINSTREAM MEDIA, THOSE FEW "ACCEPTABLE" SOURCES THAT MOST ARE ADDICTED TO, does not talk about something, then MOST of us assume it simply doesn't matter.
We have been conditioned to accept that what we are told is more or less ALL that really matters.
We have been conditioned to pick and choose the "news" that FITS OUR TAKE ON THINGS, AND THROW OUT EVERYTHING ELSE.
IF A NEWS ITEM GOES AGAINST HOW WE SEE THINGS, WE "DELETE" IT FROM OUR MINDS AS USELESS GARBAGE.
How many times over the years have we each heard people say, "If that was true we would have heard about it on ____." ...THEIR FAVORITE NEWS SOURCE...ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX...THE NEW YORK TIMES, WASHINGTON POST, etc.
How blind we've become! How dependent on what OTHERS say or think!
I know mainstream media often distorts the facts and often tells outright lies, but most who write blogs, or even posts on "social media" regularly link to them because they know that Americans won't believe much unless they do so.
Linking to "mainstream media" gives whatever one may write "credibility" in the minds of those that are still fully hooked into the "matrix".
Even if we are first-person, on-scene witnesses to something, most still won't believe us if we write about it unless one of the "MAJOR MEDIA" have reported on it.
WHY this is true is beyond my comprehension.
I cannot name ONE "major news source" that has NOT been caught in either outright lies, manipulation of facts, or making up stories that turned out to be pure bunk.
Time and time again they are exposed for their false journalism, yet the majority of Americans STILL have to see it in THEIR favorite media before they can accept it.
Isn't that amazing?
INFORMATION WARFARE
Information Warfare (IW) is primarily an American concept involving the use and management of information technology in pursuit of a competitive advantage over an opponent.
Information warfare may involve collection of tactical information, assurance(s) that one's own information is valid, spreading of propaganda or disinformation to demoralize or manipulate the 'enemy' and the public, undermining the quality of opposing force information and denial of information-collection opportunities to opposing forces. Information warfare is closely linked to psychological warfare.
This war of information/disinformation has one goal in mind...to make you believe what you're told to believe and accept it as fact.
INFORMATION WARFARE IS RAMPANT IN AMERICA!
The American focus favors technology, and so tends to extend into the realms of 'Electronic Warfare', 'Cyber Warfare', 'Information Assurance' and 'Computer Network Operations' / Attack / Defense.
THE WAR IS FOR OUR MINDS, TO CAPTURE OUR FREE THOUGHT, TO ERODE OUR RESISTANCE TO PROPAGANDA, AND TO RULE US THROUGH OUR IGNORANCE AND BLIND COMPLIANCE WITH WHAT WE ARE FED EVERY DAY IN MAINSTREAM MEDIA.
The U.S. Air Force has had Information Warfare Squadrons since the 1980s.
In fact, the official mission of the US Air Force is now "To fly, fight and win...in air, space and cyberspace," with the latter referring to its own Information Warfare role.
The U.S. Air Force often risks aircraft and crews to attack strategic enemy communications targets, but remotely disabling such targets using software and other means can provide a safer alternative.
In addition, disabling such networks electronically (instead of explosively) also allows them to be quickly re-enabled after the enemy territory is occupied. Counter information warfare units are employed to deny such capability to the enemy.
THIS A FORM OF "GATEKEEPING".
According to Pamela Shoemaker and Tim Vos, gatekeeping is the "process of culling and crafting countless bits of information into the limited number of messages that reach people everyday, and it is the center of the media's role in modern public life.
This process determines not only which information is selected, but also what the content and nature of the messages, such as news, will be."

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
"1) In exercising its "surveillance" function, every news medium has a very large number of stories brought to its attention daily by reporters, wire services, and a variety of other sources.
2) Due to a number of practical considerations, only a limited amount of time or space is available in any medium for its daily presentations of the news to its audience. The remaining space must be devoted to advertising and other content.
3) Within any news organization there exists a news perspective, a subculture that includes a complex set of criteria for judging a particular news story - criteria based on economic needs of the medium, organizational policy, definitions of newsworthiness, conceptions of the nature of relevant audience, and beliefs about fourth estate obligations of journalists.
4) This news perspective and its complex criteria are used by editors, news directors, and other personnel who select a limited number of news stories for presentation to the public and encode them in ways such that the requirements of the medium and the tastes of the audience are met.
5) Therefore, personnel in the news organization become gatekeepers, letting some stories pass through the system but keeping others out, thus limiting, controlling, and shaping the public's knowledge of the totality of actual event occurring in reality."

in 2001, when Shoemaker, et al, studied the forces in news gatekeeping in relation to coverage of Congressional bills, they were interested in two hypotheses:
1) the routine gatekeeping force of assessing a bill’s newsworthiness will be related to how prominently a bill is covered.
And 2) the individual journalist forces (education, political ideology, work experience, ethnicity, gender, voting behavior) will be related to how prominently a bill is covered.
They also predicted that the newsworthiness of a bill would be more important than journalists’ personal characteristics.
Surveying both journalists (for their personal characteristics) and editors (for evaluating newsworthiness),
Shoemaker and her colleagues found that only newsworthiness had a significant effect on the amount of coverage given to a bill, thus their first hypothesis was supported as well as the idea that newsworthiness would be more important than personal characteristics.

Media bias is the bias of journalists and news producers within the mass media in the selection of events and stories that are reported and how they are covered.
The term "media bias" implies a pervasive or widespread bias enveloping the standards of journalism, rather than the perspective of an individual journalist or article.
The direction and degree of media bias in various countries is widely disputed, BUT NOT DENIED.
Market forces that result in a biased presentation CAN AND DO include the ownership of the news source, concentration of media ownership, the selection of staff, the preferences of an intended audience, and even pressure from advertisers.

The most commonly discussed forms of bias occur when the media support or attack a particular political party, candidate, or ideology, but other common forms of bias include:
~ Advertising bias, when stories are selected or slanted to please advertisers;
~Corporate bias, when stories are selected or slanted to please corporate owners of media;
~Mainstream bias, a tendency to report what everyone else is reporting, and to avoid stories that will offend anyone;
~and sensationalism, bias in favor of the exceptional over the ordinary, giving the impression that rare events, such as airplane crashes, are more common than common events, such as automobile crashes.
Other forms of bias including reporting that favors or attacks a particular race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnic group, or even targets individuals.
Media Study Group established seven categories of poor journalistic practice: for example, the journalist stating personal opinion in a report, asserting incorrect facts, applying unequal space or treatment to two sides of a controversial issue;
Richard Alan Nelson's (2004) study, Tracking Propaganda to the Source: Tools for Analyzing Media Bias [Lass.calumet.purdue.edu. 1990-08-02 ] reports there are at least 12 methods used to analyze the existence of and quantify bias:
1~Surveys of the political/cultural attitudes of journalists, particularly members of the media elite, and of journalism students.
2~Studies of journalists' previous professional connections.
3~Collections of quotations in which prominent journalists reveal their beliefs about politics and/or the proper role of their profession.
4~Computer word-use and topic analysis searches to determine content and labeling.
5~Studies of policies recommended in news stories.
6~Comparisons of the agenda of the news and entertainment media with agendas of political candidates or other activists.
7~Positive/negative coverage analysis.
8~Reviews of the personal demographics of media decision makers.
9~Comparisons of advertising sources/content which influence information/entertainment content.
10~Analyses of the extent of government propaganda and public relations (PR) industry impact on media.
11~Studies of the use of experts and spokespersons etc. by media vs. those not selected to determine the interest groups and ideologies represented vs. those excluded.
12~Research into payments of journalists by corporations and trade associations to speak before their groups and the impact that may have on coverage.
In a society where the big media corporations wield so much power, is there any hope for us to break free from their "WEB"?
As long as the same six big corporations that control the media are dominating and controlling our social interactions, our daily conversations, our "take" on things, is there any chance that there will ever be a mass awakening among the American people that they are simply being programmed each day by the "media matrix"?
When we spend nearly all of our time sitting passively in our homes staring at flickering screens that continuously pump in the "news" we CHOOSE to get, the information we've CHOSEN to accept, what hope is there that we may EVER just get the RAW TRUTH?
Mainstream media (MSM) is designed to keep us DISTRACTED and control public discourse and public opinion.
Most of the time, the MSM focuses on the latest celebrity scandal or the latest dogfights between the Republicans and the Democrats and they ignore, and so cause US to ignore, many of the more important things that are taking place in the REAL world.
ONE EXAMPLE...A "CONSPIRACY THEORY" IS REVEALED AS TRUTH":
For decades, there was almost a complete and total media blackout on the Bilderberg Group meetings that happen every year.
Top newspaper executives from the United States and from all over the world would actually attend these meetings, but then their newspapers or television networks would not say one single word about them.
If anyone DID bring up "the Bilderberg Group", they were dismissed as wacky "conspiracy theorists" and were told that it simply didn't exist.
Well, NOW we all know that it DOES exist, although the MSM still mostly tries to ignore it, ALMOST ALL HAVE REPORTED ON THE MEETINGS BY ON-SITE REPORTERS AT THE ACTUAL EVENTS!
Maybe the escalation of so many concerned groups protesting outside Bilderberg meetings FINALLY forced MSM to carry the stories of such LARGE protests?
Or maybe we, the people actually forced them to by our blogs and posts and speaking out about them online?
ANOTHER EXAMPLE: "FALSE FLAG EVENTS"...like the "Gulf of Tonkin attack", and the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" lies.

In 2005, an internal National Security Agency historical study was declassified; it concluded that the Maddox had engaged the North Vietnamese Navy on August 2, but that there were no North Vietnamese Naval vessels present during the incident of August 4. The report stated regarding August 2:

A study of more than 40,000 trans-national corporations conducted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich discovered that a very small core group of huge banks and giant predator corporations dominate the ENTIRE global economic system.

These ultra-wealthy don't put their money in the local bank like you and I do. No, they tend to stash their assets in places where they won't be taxed such as Cayman Islands 'banks'. According to a report that was released last summer, this one group of people have up to 32 TRILLION dollars stashed in offshore banks around the globe."
COMPARE THAT TO AMERICAN ECONOMY!
U.S. GDP for 2011 was about 15 trillion dollars, and the U.S. national debt is sitting at about 16 trillion dollars, so you could add them both together and you still wouldn't hit that 32 trillion dollars!
That does NOT count the money that is stashed in other locations that the study did NOT account for, and it does NOT count all of the wealth that this group has in hard assets such as real estate, precious metals, art, yachts, etc.

We now live in a two-tiered system of FALSE justice and BIASED governance of NATIONS.
In societies today, there are TWO SETS OF LAWS: one set for the government and the corporations that basically fund the governments, and another set for you and me.
The First Set of Laws
The laws which apply to the majority of CITIZENS allow the "government" to do things like rectally probe you during a roadside stop, or listen in on your EVERY phone call, read ALL of your email messages, indefinitely detain you in a MILITARY holding cell, confiscate your property if you don't pay the taxes on it that you never agreed to in the first place, or if you buck your county or city "ordinances".
These are the laws which are executed EVERY SINGLE DAY against THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION, which has CHOSEN to be blissfully ignorant of what is taking place in American government.
WE HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED TO ACCEPT THESE THINGS AS OUR FATE, AND WE HAVE BEEN SCARED INTO SEEING IT AS "FOR OUR OWN GOOD"!
IT IS ANYTHING BUT GOOD FOR US!
The Second Set of Laws
Then there are the OTHER SET OF LAWS.
These "laws" apply only to the elite, laws which allowed bankers who crashed the economy to walk free, BAILED-OUT BY OUR TAX DOLLARS, EVEN THOUGH THEY WRECKED OUR ECONOMY.
They’re the SAME SET of laws which allow police officers to avoid prosecution when they strip search non-violent criminals, or taser pregnant women on the side of the road, or pepper spray peaceful protestors.
These are the laws of the "NEW AGE" , an age of NEO-FEUDALISM actually, in which CORPORATE-STATE RULERS dominate the rest of us, where the elite CREATE the laws which can result in a person being jailed for possessing marijuana while BANKERS AND FEDERAL AGENCIES that BUY DRUGS ON AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL, launder money for drug cartels, both PROFIT AND WALK FREE!
The division of America into "haves and have nots" has been building for years, as we can see from warnings that are almost a CENTURY old.
FOR AT LEAST THE LAST 100 YEARS, MANY HAVE TRIED TO SHOW US THAT WE ARE RULED NOT BY OUR "ELECTEDS", BUT BY THOSE WHO FINANCE THEIR CAMPAIGNS, THOSE WHO CONTROL THE FLOW OF MONEY, THOSE WHO CONTROL EVERYTHING FROM NEWS MEDIA TO AMERICAN COLLEGES.
Journalist Chris Hedges, one of the few voices to speak against the corporate-state, who has put himself on the line by making a legal challenge to the President’s authority to indefinitely detain American citizens, summarizes the situation at hand:
“Our passivity has resulted… in much more than imperial adventurism and a permanent underclass. A slow-motion coup by a corporate state has cemented into place a neofeudalism in which there are only masters and serfs. And the process is one that cannot be reversed through the traditional mechanisms of electoral politics.”
"Electoral politics" are COMPLETELY "off the table" as a means of reforming this system, or, as GHW Bush liked to call it, this "NEW WORLD ORDER". Our political system is so thoroughly corrupted by corporate money that there is NO chance, even for a well-meaning person, to hope for any REAL change by means of our CURRENT sold-out Congress. They will play to whomever contributes the most. Campaign contributions MUST be repaid with "friendly legislation", with a "return of favors".
In 2012, BOTH parties spent $1 BILLION EACH trying to get their candidate elected to the presidency.
This money came from rich donors and corporate sponsors, intent on getting THEIR candidate in office...THEIRS, NOT OURS.
On the Congressional level, where business lobbying soared in the last three months of the year, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce ALONE spent over $125 million attempting to influence members of Congress, an 88% increase from 2011.
And will our Congress vote to END this type of contributions?
NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
They want to remove the cap on it!
Representative Brad Miller (D-NC), upon seeing the "suggested schedule" for Congressmen sent out by his party for 2012 said:
“Any member who follows that schedule will be completely controlled by their staff, handed statements that their staff prepared, speaking from talking points they get emailed from leadership... It really does affect how members of Congress behave if the most important thing they think about is fundraising. You end up being nice to people that probably somebody needs to be questioning skeptically… You won’t ask tough questions in hearings that might displease potential contributors, won’t support amendments that might anger them, will tend to vote the way contributors want you to vote.”
IF THOSE WHO ARE INSIDE THIS SYSTEM DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, WHO WOULD?
There are FEW voices for WORKING Americans in the halls of Congress, for American who, BEFORE EACH ELECTION, are "promised" lower taxes, less debt, and less unemployment.
There is almost NO voice for the peace-loving American, the American who understands that America’s military might is meant for defense of the homeland, not looking for trouble in faraway lands.
There is hardly one voice in Washington D.C. for US, we who expect our electeds to abide by the Constitution, we who have to watch the way Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court work together to take away our rights, piece by piece, and make us SERVANTS TO THEIR WILL.
AND THE FEW VOICES THAT HAVE SPOKEN OUT FOR US HAVE BEEN SEVERELY BRANDED BY THEIR "COMRADES" AS "KOOKS" AS "UNAMERICAN", AS "TROUBLEMAKERS"! THEY ARE DAILY CRUCIFIED IN THE MEDIA AND MADE TO LOOK LIKE "THE ENEMY".
HAVEN'T YOU EVER WONDERED WHY, NO MATTER WHICH "PARTY" WINS THE ELECTIONS, NOTHING EVER REALLY CHANGES, WHY THINGS HAVE CAREENED IN THE SAME DOWNHILL DIRECTION, YEAR AFTER YEAR?
IF ONE PARTY IS ACTUALLY DIFFERENT FROM ANOTHER, WHY HASN'T ONE PARTY FIXED THIS MESS?
EACH HAVE HAD TURNS AT BEING THE DOMINANT FORCE! EACH HAS HAD THE MAJORITY IN CONGRESS AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER, BUT NOTHING IS EVER FIXED.
THE ECONOMY IS STILL IN RUIN, JOBS ARE LOST, THE MIDDLE CLASS CARRIES THE HEAVIEST BURDENS, AND BOTH PARTIES RAID THE VERY PROGRAMS WE ALL PAY INTO (SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, UNEMPLOYMENT FUNDS, WHICH MAKE UP 38% OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INCOME/REVENUE) TO PAY FOR WARS, TO SUBSIDIZE BANKERS, TO SUIT THEMSELVES!
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE PAYING INTO SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, AND THE ILLEGAL INCOME TAX ARE THE ONES WHO KEEP THIS NATION FROM DROWNING IN ITS OCEAN OF DEBT!
WE PROVIDE THE MAJOR REVENUE SOURCE.
AMERICA COULD NEVER EXIST WITHOUT ITS "SERF CLASS", ITS PROVIDERS!
HASN'T IT DAWNED ON YOU THAT THERE IS NEVER ANY CHANGE WHICHEVER PARTY "RULES"?
WHY?
BECAUSE BOTH PARTIES ARE CONTROLLED BY THE SAME ELITE GROUP, THE SAME 147 ENTITIES THAT CONTROL THE WORLD'S FINANCES AND THE SAME SIX THAT OWN THE MEDIA.

THE "ALL-SEEING EYE" or "EYE OF PROVIDENCE"
This is found on the back of the seal.
Imagery of the "all-seeing eye" has been traced back to Egyptian mythology and the Eye of Horus, Horus, an Egyptian god.
Horus was said to be of the sky, and was considered to also contain the sun and moon. It was said that the sun was his right eye and the moon his left, and that they traversed the sky when he, a falcon, flew across it.
THIS was the beginning of the "eye of providence" on our nation's seal.
BUT, WHY?
THE EAGLE
Found on the front of the seal. Mythologically, the eagle is connected by the Greeks with the god Zeus, by the Romans with their god Jupiter, and by the Germanic tribes with their ancient god Odin.
In Ancient Egypt, the falcon, which we can see resembles the eagle in their ancient artworks, was the symbol of Horus.
An eagle appears on the battle standard of Cyrus the Great in Persia, (modern day IRAN) around 540 BCE.
In Arab nationalism, the "Eagle of Saladin" was used in the 1953 design for the coat of arms of Egypt following the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, and in those of successor states including the current Arab Republic of Egypt.
France's Napoleon used an eagle, again derived from an ancient Roman eagle, as did his nephew Napoleon III.
Hitler chose this eagle, or double-headed eagle symbol for his standards.
WHY did America choose an eagle?
THE UNFINISHED PYRAMID
In explaining this symbol, Peter Goodgame wrote: "the Great Pyramid of Giza," "the first built and last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, which is the reputed resting place of Osiris."
OSIRIS? Another Egyptian god.
WHY would America want that on our seal?
If you look at the seal, you may notice thirteen levels to the pyramid, thirteen stars in the "glory" above the eagle's head, thirteen stripes on the shield, thirteen leaves and thirteen olives in the olive branch, and thirteen arrows in the eagle’s talon.
This has been attributed to the original 13 colonies.
But the number 13 has long carried very negative connotations, is considered a "bad luck" number ever since (in the Christian faith) Judas betrayed Christ.
(He is almost always counted as the last disciple chosen, making up the 13 depicted in paintings of "The Last Supper".)
And, on Friday 13, October,1307, King Philip IV of France ordered the arrest of the Knights Templar.
