"'We are concerned this hazardous material is hitching a ride on marine life and making its way to Alaska.
Currents of the world’s oceans are complex. But, generally speaking, two surface currents — one from the south, called the Kuroshio, and one from the north, called the Oyashio — meet just off the coast of Japan at about 40 degrees north latitude. The currents merge to form the North Pacific current and surge eastward. Fukushima lies at 37 degrees north latitude. Thousands of miles later, the currents hit an upwelling just off the western coast of the United States and split. One, the Alaska current, turns north up the coast toward British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. The other, the California current, turns south and heads down the western seaboard of the U.S.
The migration patterns of Pacific salmon should also be taken into consideration. In a nutshell, our salmon ride the Alaska current and follow its curve past Sitka, Yakutat, Kodiak and the Aleutian Islands. Most often, it’s the chinook, coho and sockeye salmon migration patterns that range farthest. Chum and pink salmon seem to stay closer to home. Regardless of how far out each salmon species ventures into the Pacific, each fish hitches a ride back to its home rivers and spawning grounds on the North Pacific current, the same one pulling the nuclear waste eastward..We are concerned our Alaska salmon are being slowly tainted with nuclear waste. We are worried about the impact this waste could have on our resources, and especially the people who consume them.'"

Another example – pacific herring – is even more dramatic.   Pacific herring is wide-ranging fish, spanning all the way from Japan to Southern California:

Associated Press reports:
At island rookeries off the Southern California coast, 45 percent of the pups born in June have died, said Sharon Melin, a wildlife biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service based in Seattle. Normally, less than one-third of the pups would die.
It’s gotten so bad in the past two weeks that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration declared an “unusual mortality event.”
The Vancouver Sun reported in January, 2012 that 94 per cent of the anchovies and 92 per cent of the sardines sold by the Japanese to Canada contained radioactive cesium. Some of the fish were caught in Japanese coastal waters; but others were caught many hundreds of miles away in the open ocean.Radiation from Fukushima was directly deposited into the kelp off the Western coast of North America … especially in Southern California.
Fish that eat the kelp have also gotten exposed to the radiation … as have the animals that eat those fish.
The largest concentration was about 250 times higher than levels found in kelp before the accident.
"Basically, we saw it in all the California kelp blades we sampled," said Steven Manley, a CSU Long Beach biology professor who specializes in kelp.

Radiation hotspots have spread to three holding areas for hundreds of hastily built tanks storing water contaminated by being flushed over three reactors that melted down at the Fukushima Daiichi plant in March 2011.

The rising radiation levels and leaks at the plant have prompted international alarm, and the Japanese government said on Tuesday it would step in with almost $500 million of funding to fix the growing levels of contaminated water at the plant.

Readings just above the ground near a set of tanks at the plant showed radiation as high as 2,200 millisieverts (mSv), the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) said on Wednesday. The previous high in areas holding the tanks was the 1,800 mSv recorded on Saturday.

Both levels would be enough to kill an unprotected person within hours.

Japan's biggest utility has been criticized for a series of mishaps including its admission, after repeated denials, that contaminated water was flowing into the Pacific from another area of the plant. That was followed by the leaks from above-ground tanks.

The latest radiation readings at the plant were taken on Tuesday and were not related to a 6.9 magnitude earthquake off southern Japan earlier on Wednesday.

FUKUSHIMA (Kyodo) -- The water storage tanks at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant were built hastily and it was feared at the time that toxic water could leak from them, a male utility worker involved in their construction told Kyodo News recently.
"We were required to build the tanks in succession," the male worker said, recalling his experience of constructing the group of tanks in the "H4" area two years ago. "We gave priority to making the tanks, rather than quality control. There were fears that toxic water may leak."
With contaminated water accumulating at the plant that suffered a triple meltdown, workers constructed one 1,000-ton tank every three days, he said.
The procurement of materials was not managed well, with necessary materials sometimes not delivered on time.
The tank confirmed to have leaked was built in June 2011, around three months after the plant was damaged by a huge earthquake and tsunami, but it was dismantled after sinking into the ground and later reassembled in the H4 area, he said.

Given that the life span of the tanks is only around 5 years, he said, "All of the tanks are makeshift. More toxic water may leak as they deteriorate."

 NOW WE SEE THAT LEVELS ARE 2000% TO 4000% HIGHER THAN WE WERE BEING TOLD!] Top scientists from many other nations, NOT JUST CHINA, in a meta-analysis of studies of locations around the globe,  pooling across multiple studies, in multiple areas, and in a rigorous statistical manner provides a tool to really get at these questions about low-level radiation, examining more than 5,000 papers involving natural background radiation that were narrowed to 46 for quantitative comparison. The selected studies all examined both a control group and a more highly irradiated population and quantified the size of the radiation levels for each. Each paper also reported test statistics that allowed direct comparison between the studies.
The organisms studied included plants and animals, but had a large preponderance of human subjects. Each study examined one or more possible effects of radiation, such as DNA damage measured in the lab, prevalence of a disease such as Down’s Syndrome, or the sex ratio produced in offspring. For each effect, a statistical algorithm was used to generate a single value, the effect size, which could be compared across all the studies.
The scientists reported significant negative effects in a range of categories, including immunology, physiology, mutation and disease occurrence. The frequency of negative effects was beyond that of random chance.
“It also provides evidence that there is no threshold below which there are no effects of radiation,” he added. “A theory that has been batted around a lot over the last couple of decades is the idea that is there a threshold of exposure below which there are no negative consequences. These data provide fairly strong evidence that there is no threshold — radiation effects are measurable as far down as you can go, given the statistical power you have at hand.”

Physicians for Social Responsibility notes:
According to the National Academy of Sciences, there are no safe doses of radiation. Decades of research show clearly that any dose of radiation increases an individual’s risk for the development of cancer.
“There is no safe level of radionuclide exposure, whether from food, water or other sources. Period,” said Jeff Patterson, DO, immediate past president of Physicians for Social Responsibility. “Exposure to radionuclides, such as iodine-131 and cesium-137, increases the incidence of cancer. For this reason, every effort must be taken to minimize the radionuclide content in food and water.”
“Consuming food containing radionuclides is particularly dangerous. If an individual ingests or inhales a radioactive particle, it continues to irradiate the body as long as it remains radioactive and stays in the body,”said Alan H. Lockwood, MD, a member of the Board of Physicians for Social Responsibility.
“Children are much more susceptible to the effects of radiation, and stand a much greater chance of developing cancer than adults,” said Dr. Andrew Kanter, president-elect of PSR’s Board.
The National Research Council’s Committee to Assess the Scientific Information for the Radiation Exposure Screening and Education Program explains:

Radioactivity generates radiation by emitting particles. Radioactive materials outside the the body are called external emitters, and radioactive materials located within the body are called internal emitters.

Internal emitters are much more dangerous than external emitters. Specifically, one is only exposed to radiation as long as he or she is near the external emitter.
For example, when you get an x-ray, an external emitter is turned on for an instant, and then switched back off.
But internal emitters steadily and continuously emit radiation for as long as the particle remains radioactive, or until the person dies – whichever occurs first. As such, they are much more dangerous.
As the head of a Tokyo-area medical clinic – Dr. Junro Fuse, Internist and head of Kosugi Medical Clinic – said:

Risk from internal exposure is 200-600 times greater than risk from external exposure.

The cesium which was scattered all over the place by above-ground nuclear tests and the Chernobyl and Fukushima accidents has a much longer half life, and can easily contaminate food and water supplies. As the New York Times notes:
Over the long term, the big threat to human health is cesium-137, which has a half-life of 30 years.
At that rate of disintegration, John Emsley wrote in “Nature’s Building Blocks” (Oxford, 2001),
“it takes over 200 years to reduce it to 1 percent of its former level.”

Ira Helfand, MD, a member of the Board of Physicians for Social Responsibility states, “But it is not true to say that it is "safe" to release this much radiation; some people will get cancer and die as a result.”

John LaForge writes:

The National Council on Radiation Protection says, “… every increment of radiation exposure produces an incremen­tal increase in the risk of cancer.” The Environmental Protection Agency says, “… any exposure to radiation poses some risk, i.e. there is no level below which we can say an exposure poses no risk.” The Department of Energy says about “low levels of radiation” that “… the major effect is a very slight increase in cancer risk.” The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says, “any amount of radiation may pose some risk for causing cancer … any increase in dose, no matter how small, results in an incremental increase in risk.” The National Academy of Sciences, in its “Biological Effects of Ionizing Radiation VII,” says, “… it is unlikely that a threshold exists for the induction of cancers ….”
Long story short, “One can no longer speak of a ‘safe’ dose level,” as Dr. Ian Fairlie and Dr. Marvin Resnikoff said in their report “No dose too low,” in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

Even Japan Times reports:
Protracted exposure to low-level radiation is associated with a significant increase in the risk of leukemia, according to a long-term study published Thursday in a U.S. research journal.
The study released in the monthly Environmental Health Perspectives was based on a 20-year survey of around 110,000 workers who engaged in cleanup work related to the Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster in 1986.
Scientists from the University of California, San Francisco, the U.S. National Cancer Institute and the National Research Center for Radiation Medicine in Ukraine were among those who participated in the research.

Indeed, the overwhelming consensus among radiation experts is that repeated exposure to low doses of radiation can cause cancer, genetic mutations, heart disease, stroke and other serious illness (and see this.)
The top U.S. government radiation experts – like Karl Morgan, John Goffman and Arthur Tamplin – and scientific luminaries such as Ernest Sternglass and Alice Stewart, concluded that low level radiation can cause serious health effects.
A military briefing written by the U.S. Army for commanders in Iraq states:

Hazards from low level radiation are long-term, not acute effects… Every exposure increases risk of cancer.

Most “Background Radiation” Didn’t Exist Before Nuclear Weapons Testing and Nuclear Reactors
Nuclear apologists pretend that we get a higher exposure from background radiation (when we fly, for example) or x-rays then we get from nuclear accidents.In fact, there was exactly zero background radioactive cesium or iodine before above-ground nuclear testing and nuclear accidents started.

Caesium-137 is unique in that it is totally anthropogenic. Unlike most other radioisotopes, caesium-137 is not produced from its non-radioactive isotope, but from uranium. It did not occur in nature before nuclear weapons testing began. By observing the characteristic gamma rays emitted by this isotope, it is possible to determine whether the contents of a given sealed container were made before or after the advent of atomic bomb explosions. This procedure has been used by researchers to check the authenticity of certain rare wines, most notably the purported “Jefferson bottles”.

Cesium-133 is the only naturally occurring isotope and is non-radioactive; all other isotopes, including cesium-137, are produced by human activity.

Similarly, iodine-131 is not a naturally occurring isotope. As the Encyclopedia Britannica notes:

The only naturally occurring isotope of iodine is stable iodine-127. An exceptionally useful radioactive isotope is iodine-131…

Japanese experts say that Fukushima is currently releasing up to 93 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium into the ocean each day. And the cesium levels hitting the west coast of North America will keep increasing for several years. Nigerian Minister of Environment, Malaifa commented, “I am saying that the Kaduna project upon completion is going to supply so much electricity that even institutions and government establishments will have surplus energy. If an adversary lands a knockout blow, they fear, it could black out vast areas of the continent for weeks; interrupt supplies of water, gasoline, diesel fuel and fresh food; shut down communications; and create disruptions of a scale that was only hinted at by Hurricane Sandy and the attacks of Sept. 11.
 This is why thousands of utility workers, business executives, National Guard officers, F.B.I. antiterrorism experts and officials from government agencies in the United States, Canada and Mexico are preparing for an emergency drill in November that will simulate physical attacks and cyberattacks that could take down large sections of the power grid.

They will practice for a crisis unlike anything the real grid has ever seen, and more than 150 companies and organizations have signed up to participate.

The MEU includes a battalion landing team, a Marine regiment, a helicopter squadron and a combat logistics battalion. It’s the landing force for a U.S. Navy amphibious group consisting of the USS Bataan, USS Mesa Verde and USS Gunston Hall.
“We’re sort of America’s 911 force,” Capt. Coles said. “We can be out [at sea], get a call and respond to it.”
The 22nd MEU is good at it. It’s the most decorated of the seven MEU units, according to the Department of Defense. Members have served in Lebanon, Grenada, Liberia, the Gulf War, Kosovo, Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
People may see some role players and probably hear military helicopters, but where the exercises will be conducted will be out of the way,” Capt. Coles said. “This is an important exercise for us and we appreciate being in town.”

<<Government alleged “terrorist attacks” can take many forms these days ranging from biological warfare to remotely hijacking your car or even detonating a bomb out of a backpack. Despite proof that historically most of these attacks have been organized by the government for political gains, states continue to routinely coordinate emergency response drills.

Multifarious “terror threats” have managed to spread into nearly every city and state across the country preparing first responders and conditioning citizens for any kind of “emergency” you can think of.

This week Columbus, Ohio plans to engage in a training exercise that will involve nearly 6,000 military staff and veterans in order to simulate a “terrorist attack,” reports WBNS-TV.

Reuters released a report last spring describing the “first simulated test of a terrorist attack on a nuclear power plant” in Pennsylvania as a success. Although the test was performed at Three Mile Island, the site of the worst commercial nuclear accident in U.S. history, officials said the location had no significance. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has mandated 65 nuclear power plants to practice terrorist attack drills every two years, testing their preparedness. The test involved 1,200 participants in 76 municipalities including 15 school districts.

"'A government-created fear designed to enlist public support for controls, legislation, rules and regulation increasing government power, while reducing individual rights, is called a False Flag Event (FFE). False Flag Events are the hallmark of a tyrannical government. Moreover, the government is buying ammunition at rates only necessary if they were planning to fight World War Two again, 34 times. The military is being prepared and trained to fight and kill Americans.  The Department of Homeland Security has been training to shoot and kill Americans using custom design targets with pictures of pregnant white women, children, elderly and average looking white American Citizens.

Racial targeting is a time-honored strategy of tyrannical takeovers. Racial targeting can be used for several reasons: one is a possible identification of a scapegoat, allowing other races to focus on the hated race and then provide support to the tyranny so long as the targeted race is seen as the primary enemy. Another might be to target the most likely race to oppose the rising tyranny with racial baiting to pit race against race, further distracting and demonizing the targeted race, solidifying un-targeted races behind the actions of the tyranny.

America is now at the confluence of two great streams of power: the government still officially pretending to be legitimate and the people still armed and beginning to question government legitimacy.

The Boston Bombing False Flag Event was so poorly organized and executed and so well documented by private observers and people using cameras, the government nearly lost the pretension of authority as alternative news groups surrounded the “officials” and demanded answers to the blatant discrepancies.

Next then, we can expect a much larger and more violent attack on the American people using government apparatus and passed off as a terrorist attack; but this time, the size will be so large that questions regarding who, or what, caused the attack, will have to wait until Americans can deal with the enormity.

If the terrorists now running the usurped Federal Government do not make their move soon, awakening Americans will make their move. Arrests, trials and executions are what is required and Americans awake now understand that nothing short of a complete purge of the perpetrators will take back the government lost many years ago.

Now is the time to be vigilant to the ways in which the government has historically orchestrated a False Flag Event (FFE). One consistent indicator of a FFE is notification by the hostile tyranny (USG) that a drill is being planned, These drills can be in conjunction with an already planned event, such as during the Boston Marathon where drills were publicized, including the use of bomb sniffing dogs during the day of the race. Other drills are operated autonomously like the numerous drills in action on the day of September 11, 2001; see the film above.

Drills are cover and are absolutely necessary to give official pretense to operations that must be carried out in the light of day for a successful False Flag Event.

Drills are a prop, and propaganda is the lubricant smoothing the way for props to be placed so the FFE can proceed under cover of daylight. Propaganda usually comes before the drill begins, often in the form of news releases, happily passed along by State-run media outlets such as CNN, MSNBC and the other mainstream media whores regurgitating government press releases. Standard propaganda provides a few lines about the “official” reason for the drill and usually leaves the public with a feeling of being notified and empowered, since these drills are “naturally” being carried out to protect the inhabitants of America from harm - for the safety of the children of course.

We also know that the government is sinking in scandals and allegations of corruption while a waking public is beginning to look for pitch forks. Therefore, it would seem logical, the usurper government would next attempt a Large Scale False Flag Event LSFFE, to divert attention and quickly organize into Martial Law from which the lying, deceitful, illegitimate government would rise and pretend to control and ameliorate the situation, using the crisis for expanding powers to the point of a total tyranny.

I also would mention, the same usurped government has been complicit with the owners of the banking and insurance rackets, Wall Street, and governments of Western nations, to create a financial crisis concomitantly to be triggered with a LSFFE. The financial event may begin before, during, or after the event. <<A stunning new report reveals that the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has been monitoring independent health sites and their users in an attempt to identify 'anti-vaccine influencers' and their effect on lackluster vaccine uptake.

A newly fashioned United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) working paper tracking "the rise of online anti-vaccination sentiments in Central and Eastern Europe" identifies independent health websites, including GreenMedInfo.com, Mercola.com, NaturalNews.com and VacTruth.com, as contributing to lackluster vaccine uptake.

The UNICEF report, titled "Tracking anti-vaccination sentiment in Eastern European social media networks," obtained data using "state-of-the-art social medial monitoring tools," and confirmed that parents are using social media networks to decide whether to vaccinate their children.

The 47-page report attempts to answer the following questions:

• Why parents are refusing vaccination?
• What are the concerns about vaccines?
• What are their ideals/perceptions?

UNICEF's opening reference to the "lie" (misinformation) spread by the above-mentioned web-based organizations indicates that while the document purports to be analytical and descriptive, it has proscriptive and defamatory undertones, and only thinly conceals an agenda to discredit opposing views and voices.

The report's data-gathering methodology is described as follows:

"Researchers have selected social media channels, languages and formulated key word strings for online searches from 1 May till 30 June 2012.  Messages from over 22,300 participants using English, Russian, Romanian and Polish were monitored by volume (using mentions, views, postings), by channels through which users exchange content, by engagement (how users respond, like, share) and by sentiment analysis to detect positive and negative attitudes."

The authors of the report note 'ethical considerations' in gathering and analyzing the web usage behavior and data of 22,300 tracked users, but claim that by not publishing the specific IP data in their report that their work does not break any laws, even if it may violate 'moral' codes of those who were subject to uninformed surveillance.

Their main findings are reported:

• In all four languages, blogs are the most frequently used channel followed by Facebook. Twitter is the second largest channel in Russian.
• Most of the interactions are taking place in forums. While female audiences tend to focus on issues such as developmental disabilities, chemical and toxins, and side effects; men focus on arguments around conspiracy theories and religious/ethical beliefs. Participants discussing anti-vaccination sentiments are 56 % female and 44 % male.
• During the observed time period, more messages in English are recorded using key words stemming from conspiracy theories, distrusts against governments and pharmaceutical industry. Religious and ethical beliefs, distrust against U.S. and western governments drive the Russian language discussions.
• Anti-vaccination opinion leaders in the online world show varying characteristics. Some have no college education while others are in the medical field (such as nurses). Often they appear well educated in alternative medicine and subscribe to social channels of homeopaths and alternative medicine advocates.

According to the report: "The study reveals the urgent need to invest further in analyzing vaccine hesitancy, and immunization partners to develop joint strategies to tackle with this trend."

The report also makes the following recommendations:

 "International agencies and other partners will need to combine forces and support governments to reverse this counterproductive trend and develop common strategies to promote immunization, as one of the most successful and cost-effective health interventions known in the world." [emphasis added]

While this report appears to have the objectivity and credibility long associated with world governmental health agencies, UNICEF does little to conceal its willingness to partner with, and accept money from, corporations who may have a vested interest in discrediting valid information about the unintended, adverse health effects of vaccines and/or their lack of effectiveness, such as

While this report appears to have the objectivity and credibility long associated with world governmental health agencies, UNICEF does little to conceal its willingness to partner with, and accept money from, corporations who may have a vested interest in discrediting valid information about the unintended, adverse health effects of vaccines and/or their lack of effectiveness, such as manufacturers of vaccines themselves. They openly advertise their willingness to support national- and multi-national corporation's "cause-marketing initiatives," a marketing phenomenon widely criticized by public interest groups, and which in the case of the breast cancer industry has produced monstrosities such as the Smith and Wesson's Pink Handgun, and KFC's now defunct "Buckets for the Cure."

As an example of UNICEF's lack of insulation from conflicts of interest, in June of this year, they partnered with one of the world's largest vaccine manufacturers, Merck & Co., who pledged $500 million "to decrease maternal mortality, HIV and tuberculosis prevalence in South Africa." President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF Caryl Stern was quoted in a June 2012 Vaccine New Daily article as saying, "Merck is a valued partner that is helping to bring us closer to a day when ZERO children die of preventable causes."[1] Merck, while being considered by UNICEF as a "valuable partner," can hardly be claimed as a credible source of information on the safety and effectivencess of its products, as exemplified by the 2011 decision by the U.S. Justice Department that Merck would be forced to pay $950 million to resolve criminal charges and federal civil claims associated with the fraudulent marketing of its deadly drug Vioxx.  This is only the tip of the iceberg of Merck's many legal problems. Another organization UNICEF has partnered with and accepted substantial financial contributions from is the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, who has actively supported the online surveillance of so-called "anti-vaccine" groups, as we documented in an Aug. 29^th, 2012, report: "Gates Foundation Funds Surveillance of Anti-Vaccine Groups":

[A]$100K grant was recently disbursed to Seth C. Kalichman, professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Connecticut, for "Establishing an Anti-Vaccine Surveillance and Alert System," which intends to "establish an internet-based global monitoring and rapid alert system for finding, analyzing, and counteracting misinformation communication campaigns regarding vaccines to support global immunization efforts."

The Gates foundation is notorious for focusing its charitable contributions on Global Polio Eradication initiatives, while neglecting to emphasize with equal fiscal enthusiasm sustainable solutions to preventing morbidity and mortality associated with infectious disease vectors, namely, improved nutrition, sanitation and hygiene.
Ironically, UNICEF's own vaccine-based programs to combat child deaths from disease in West Africa appear to reduce survival relative to areas outside the reach of their programs. According to a 2010 BBC News report, "Unicef spent $27m (£17m) rolling out vaccinations, vitamin A pills and bed nets to protect against malaria from 2001 to 2005 in areas of 11 countries. The researchers studied parts of Ghana, Mali and Benin and said children often survived better outside the UN scheme." Indeed, the most well-known criticism of UNICEF is that it has done very little to decrease child mortality (in sub-Saharan Africa it has actually increased) underscoring why its focus on promoting vaccination, and now monitoring and perhaps targeting "anti-vaccine" organizations, is profoundly misguided.

Ultimately, UNICEF's new report is more than an objective analysis of so-called "anti-vaccine" organizations, but a concerning bit of propaganda aimed at dissuading the millions who visit alternative health sites daily from obtaining information that was not underwritten and/or ghostwritten by the very industries who stand to gain most by hiding the well-known adverse health effects of their products, and who have managed to transform many governmental health agencies – and we can see, even global ones -- into their cheerleading, marketing, liability protection and now surveillance divisions.

<<UNICEF is, undoubtedly, the most well known and, probably, the most popular UN agency among Americans. The organization received $282 million from the United States alone in 2002. What is not well known, however, is UNICEF's evolution from a life affirming, child saving and Nobel peace prize-winning foundation to a contraceptive-distributing, abortion-performing and sterilization-providing partner of some of the world's most notorious "family planning" organizations.
There was major controversy in the UN - so much so that the organization's structure was threatened. The World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF were reluctant to join in the debate. WHO was unsure about the health effects of the pill and UNICEF did not want to act before WHO. Controversy within UNICEF itself threatened to split the Executive Board in the spring of 1966. The Population Information Program was the responsibility of George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. until July 1, 1978 and then that of John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. In a June 2010 report in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, study authors said that in looking over records that spanned from 1979 to 2006 (the most recent year available) they found that, of 62 million death certificates, almost a quarter-million deaths were coded as having occurred IN A HOSPITAL setting due to medication errors.
