THE NATIONAL DIET OF JAPAN FUKUSHIMA NUCLEAR ACCIDENT INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION COMMISSION (NAIIC) PRESENTED A SCATHING CONCLUSION TO ITS INVESTIGATION OF THE DAIICHI ACCIDENT OF 2011.
BASED ON THIS REPORT ALONE, THERE SHOULD BE AN INTERNATIONAL COURT INDICTMENT OF TEPCO AND ALL JAPANESE AGENCIES AND OFFICIALS WHO HELPED TEPCO COVER UP THE FACTS AND THE FAILURES IN THIS MANMADE DISASTER.
OUR AMERICAN NEWS AGENCIES AND OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAVE FAILED TO PROPERLY REPORT THE FINDINGS OF THIS COMMISSION TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE JUST AS THEY HAVE FAILED TO PROPERLY MONITOR AND MAKE TIMELY REPORTS REGARDING THE EFFECTS OF THIS TRAGEDY ON AMERICAN LIVES.
SOME MSMs REPORTED IT BRIEFLY...ONCE...THEN LET IT FADE AWAY.
BOTH JAPAN AND THE U.S. HAVE BEEN COMPLICIT IN KEEPING FACTUAL, PERTINENT, URGENTLY NEEDED INFORMATION FROM ITS CITIZENS.
IN SPITE OF THIS REPORT TO THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT, PRIME MINISTER ABE CONTINUES TO DENY THE FACTS UNCOVERED BY IT, AND CONTINUES TO DENY THE EXTENT OF RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT ON HIS UNSUSPECTING NATION.
IT APPEARS THAT THE NEGATIVE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE FULL TRUTH ON JAPAN FAR OUTWEIGHS THE GOVERNMENT'S OR TEPCO'S CONCERN FOR THE HEALTH OF JAPANESE CITIZENS.
TEPCO HAS REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE COMMISSION'S FINDINGS AND BEHAVE IN AN HONORABLE WAY TO ALLEVIATE THIS ONGOING ENDANGERMENT OF HUMAN, ANIMAL, PLANT, AND WORLDWIDE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH.
THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING TEPCO TO CONTINUE RADIATING THE PLANET.
TEPCO HAS STRIVEN MORE TO SAVE MONEY THAN TO SAVE HUMAN BEINGS AND CONTINUES TO DO SO.
THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT HAS STRUGGLED HARDER TO SAVE ITS HOSTING OF THE 2020 OLYMPICS THAN IT HAS TO SAVE THE LIVES OF ITS CHILDREN.
REPORTS OF RADIATION INCREASES IN TOKYO, IN ITS MARKETS' PRODUCE, FISH, ALL FOOD, AND CONTAMINATION OF ITS WATER SUPPLY GROW IN NUMBER EACH WEEK.
HIGHLY REPUTABLE SCIENTISTS AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND NUCLEAR EXPERTS WARNED ABE TO EVACUATE TOKYO, BUT HE SAYS THAT WOULD BE THE END OF JAPAN'S ECONOMY, THE END OF JAPAN AS A NATION.
I WONDER WHAT HE THINKS WILL HAPPEN IN ANOTHER 4 YEARS AS DAIICHI CONTINUES TO RADIATE JAPAN AND THE WORLD?
WHEN MILLIONS ARE LYING DEAD AT HIS FEET, WILL HE REGRET THEN NOT EVACUATING TOKYO AND TAKING CHARGE OF DAIICHI AWAY FROM THE FAILURES AT TEPCO?
ANYONE READING THE CONCLUSIONS OF THIS REPORT FROM NAIIC AND THE INTERVIEWS IT CONDUCTED WITH RESIDENTS NEAR THE FUKUSHIMA DAIICHI PLANT, THE INTERVIEWS WITH WORKERS, THE PROOF THAT THE DAIICHI PLANT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BUILT WHERE IT IS, SHOULD BE OUTRAGED.
THE SCANDALOUS CORRUPTION, THE OUTRAGEOUS AND NOW-PROVEN LIES OF TEPCO OFFICIALS AND THE COMPLICITY OF JAPANESE AGENCIES AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS INVOLVED SHOULD CAUSE AN INTERNATIONAL OUTCRY FOR PROSECUTION OF ALL INVOLVED ON CHARGES OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.
I was amazed to read an opinion piece in the 'Japan Times' by William Pesek, a Bloomberg View columnist based in Tokyo who writes on economics, markets and politics in the Asia-Pacific region.
Bloomberg, as many know, has been one of the most frequent ridiculers of anyone or any organization who says Fukushima is an international catastrophe that is already affecting Americans.
Coming from such a 'denier' as Bloomberg, I must wonder if Pesek was fired, but haven't cared enough to check up on that.

"It’s time to punish Tepco.
Fishermen trawling the waters off Japan’s eastern coast have been alleging for a while that radioactive water is again spilling into the Pacific from the Fukushima power plant that melted down after a massive earthquake in 2011. On Feb. 24, Tokyo Electric Power Co., which is responsible for the site, admitted those suspicions were justified.
And it turns out that Tepco knew about this latest radioactive leak since last May — and the giant utility said nothing for almost a year.
In the 15 days since Tepco finally confessed, have investigators raided its Tokyo headquarters? Have regulators demanded that heads roll? Has Prime Minister Shinzo Abe used his bully pulpit to demand accountability from the company that gave the world its worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl?
In any other major democracy, those steps would have been obvious. But none have occurred in Japan. And that raises troubling questions not just about Tepco’s corporate governance, but the rampant cronyism enabling it.
When he took office in December 2012...Abe — concerned that the bad press would affect Tokyo’s campaign to host the 2020 Olympics — declared his government would push Tepco aside and handle the cleanup efforts directly.
It was all for show. Abe’s government never intervened, and Tepco stayed in charge. Four years to the day since the earthquake, Fukushima is still leaking; 120,000 people remain displaced; and Tepco’s opacity and incompetence are unchanged.
How does Tepco get away with it?
It is protected from on high by the “nuclear village,” Tokyo’s answer to the military-industrial complex that is said to hold sway in Washington. This alliance of pro-nuclear politicians, bureaucrats and power companies promotes reactors over safer forms of energy like solar, wind or geothermal, and works to shield utilities from competition and global standards. (That’s how Tepco got away with consistently doctoring its maintenance reports for Fukushima and putting all of its backup generators underground in a tsunami-prone area.)
Even after the Fukushima disaster, national nuclear regulators seemed more concerned about restarting Japan’s 48 remaining reactors (all of which have been shut down in the interim) than neutralizing the one contaminating the northeast of the country.
Tepco’s then-President Masataka Shimizu gave maddeningly contradictory accounts of events at Fukushima. Two months later, Shimizu took the fall for Tepco’s sending radiation clouds Tokyo’s way. Tepco’s idea of a new start was to replace him with a 36-year company veteran.
“I find it galling that not only was Tepco never punished for constructing reactors well below the tsunami warning markers, thereby worsening the effects of the quake and tidal wave, but was even allowed to raise its rates to make the consumer pay for the cleanup costs,” says Robert Whiting, author of “Tokyo Underworld.”
Even in the context of Japanese cronyism, it’s astounding that nobody at Tepco has gone to jail. Criminal proceedings against Japan’s business titans aren’t unprecedented.
Yet, Tepco’s executives continue to enjoy a get-out-jail-free card, courtesy of the Tokyo establishment.
At the very least, Tepco’s senior management should be fired without pensions and face charges from prosecutors. The company should also be nationalized. (Taxpayers are bearing the costs of Tepco’s negligence anyway.)
He [Abe] should start by bringing the most egregious offender to justice. I’m sure the Fukushima fishermen will be happy to testify."
Well, for a Bloomberg guy, it's a start.
What he didn't say is what almost no one is saying...the sheer greed of the nuclear industry built Daiichi, KNOWING that it would essentially be a massive nuclear weapon built atop major fault lines and above a major aquifer.
NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PLACE A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT WITH EVEN ONE REACTOR ON SUCH A DEADLY SITE!
BUT TEPCO SAW DOLLAR SIGNS AND THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT ALLOWED IT.
EVERYBODY INVOLVED IN THAT PLANT'S CONSTRUCTION KNEW IT WAS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN, BUT NO ONE GAVE A TINKER'S EARTHEN DAM IF THE WORST CASE SCENARIO HAPPENED.
IT WAS THE "KA-CHING, KA-CHING" ALL WANTED MORE THAN THE SAFETY OF THE JAPANESE PEOPLE, OF THE ENTIRE WORLD.
The U.S. is doing the SAME thing to all of us!
Even though the disaster in Japan raised questions here about failing nuclear plants across the United States that have leaked and continue to leak radiation into our air, water, and soil every day, the MULTI-BILLION dollar, U.S. taxpayer-subsidized contracts of the nuclear industry came into question.
Any and all questions, all would-be inquiries, any independent studies of OUR leaky ancient power plants were quickly buried, halted, killed.
NO questions about shaky, crumbling nuclear facilities' infrastructure allowed in OUR press, no sir, not for long!
Voiced concerns were silenced before their echoes died away.
And, here in "AmeriKa, Inc", corporatism won over citizens, AS ALWAYS.
Now, WE simply wait for the "AMERICAN FUKUSHIMA".
MY MONEY IS ON HANFORD, OR MAYBE WIPP TO PROVIDE AMERICA WITH AN "EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT" IN THE NOT-TO-DISTANT FUTURE.
There's more radioactive material at both those "storage facilities" than the human mind can fathom.
DOES MAINSTREAM MEDIA PLAY 'WATCHDOG' TO EVEN THOSE TWO?
THEY'D RATHER REPORT ON THE NEW PRINCESS IN BRITAIN, OR BRUCE JENNER'S DECISION TO BE IDENTIFIED AS FEMALE.
"By now the effects of the radioactive pollution from the plant have encompassed our planet and, as higher radiation levels for the aquatic life in the Pacific Ocean are scantly reported, life, or more probably death goes on as if nothing of any real consequence has actually occurred.
After the meltdown of a single reactor in Chernobyl in 1986, there seemed to be a constant vigil to track the spread of the radiation and the consequences to human life in the Soviet Union and around the world. But back then, the coverage served a political purpose. We weren’t to look at the failure of Chernobyl as a consequence of the bad decision in building these death plants, but rather the inferior system of government in the Soviet Union that allowed the failure to occur."
THERE HAS BEEN A 6,000% INCREASE IN JAPAN SINCE 2011.
ABE WARNED DOCTORS NOT TO REPORT CASES OF CANCER AS HAVING A POSSIBLE LINK TO FUKUSHIMA, AS MANY HAVE BEEN BRAVE ENOUGH TO REPORT ON JAPANESE TRUTH SITES.
NO ILLNESSES AND NO DEATHS ARE TO BE REPORTED AS CAUSED BY RADIATION CONTAMINATION!
THOSE WHO LIVED NEAR THAT CURSED PLANT AND WHO HAVE DEVELOPED CANCERS, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY LOST LOVED ONES TO CANCER, HAVE NO LEGAL RECOURSE TO SUE TEPCO OR ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY FOR THEIR SUFFERING AND GRIEF, FOR THE LOSS OF THEIR CHILDREN OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS, OF PROPERTY, OR LIFESTYLE.
AS THE NAIIC REPORT SHOWS, THOSE WHO TOOK TEPCO AND THE GOVERNMENT'S WORD THAT IT WAS SAFE TO GO HOME ARE NOW LIVING IN A NIGHTMARISH HELL.
BUT, ONCE THEY AGREED TO GO HOME, THE GOVERNMENT WON'T SUBSIDIZE ANOTHER MOVE TO A SAFER AREA.
THREE YEARS AFTER THE NAIIC FINDINGS, NOT ONE THING HAS CHANGED THAT BENEFITS THE PEOPLE OF JAPAN.
THERE, AS HERE, CORPORATIONS MEAN MORE TO THE GOVERNMENT THAN HUMAN BEINGS.
THAT REPORT IS A VERY LENGTHY READ, AND I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL BE ALLOWED TO REMAIN ACCESSIBLE (WHICH IS WHY I COPIED IT IN ITS ENTIRETY) BUT PLEASE TRY TO READ AS MUCH AS YOU CAN OF IT WHILE YOU CAN.
Executive Summary (First Half) is here:
Executive Summary (Second Half)
SHARE IT, PLEASE!
SHOULD YOU FIND IT GONE, LEAVE A COMMENT HERE AND I WILL FIND SOME WAY TO POST THE ENTIRE THING.
THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW.
